Abstract

In initial observations in January 2024 at SDN 23 Sela, students showed a lack of enthusiasm, focus on learning and difficulty in understanding mathematical concepts. The aim of this research was to 1) find out how the project based learning model was applied to class IV students at SDN 23 Sela, Pangkep Regency 2) how the model affects student character, 21st century skills, and mathematics learning outcomes. The type of research used is pre-experimental, with quantitative research methods. This research involved 21 fourth grade students. The research instruments used were observation sheets, tests and documentation. using descriptive and inferential data analysis. The research results show that: the project based learning model is rarely used in class IV at SDN 23 Sela. This reflects recent efforts to improve character, 21st century skills and mathematics learning outcomes. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, there is a significant influence, this shows that the influence of the project-based learning model on the character, 21st century skills and mathematics learning outcomes of class IV students is significant, with a significance of 0.000 < 0.5. This means that there is a significant influence between the character-based project learning model, 21st century skills and results.

Abstract

This study aims to determine: (1) The application of the Problem Solving learning model based on 21st century learning in science learning for grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Mbeleang. (2) How the Problem Solving learning model based on 21st century learning can improve the creativity and science learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD Negeri 1 Mbeleang. This study uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) with two cycles. Data collection techniques use learning outcome tests and observation sheets, analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively. The subjects of the study were 13 grade IV students, consisting of 5 boys and 8 girls. The results of the study showed an increase in the effectiveness of the Problem Solving learning model based on 21st century learning in improving creativity and learning outcomes with the average value of student learning outcomes increasing from 65.85% in cycle I to 79.69% in cycle II. Students' creativity also increased, with 2 students (15.38%) classified as very good, 8 students (61.54%) classified as good, and 3 students (23.07%) classified as sufficient in cycle II. The researcher concluded that the problem-solving model based on 21st century learning can improve creativity and learning outcomes of fourth grade students.

Abstract

In preliminary observations on March 5, 2024 at SDIT Ar-Rahmah Makassar city, there are still many students who have difficulty understanding the material taught in the learning process marked by the low learning outcomes of ICT students. This study aims to analyze the effect of Problem Based Learning learning model based on Quizizz media on ICT learning outcomes of fifth grade students of SDIT Ar-Rahmah Makassar City. The type of research used is the experimental method. The results showed that the Pretest and Posttest data were normally distributed with a Kolmogorov-Smirnov significance value of 0.167 and Shapiro-Wilk of 0.359. In addition, the homogeneity test results showed that the data had a homogeneous variance with a Levene Statistics significance value of 0.017. Based on the t-test results, there is a difference between the Pretest and Posttest scores, which shows that the Problem Based Learning learning model based on Quizizz media has an effect on student ICT learning outcomes. The average Pretest score of 7.38 increased to 10.31 on the Posttest. These results indicate an increase in student understanding after the application of this learning model. It can be concluded that this model is effective in improving learning outcomes and can encourage students to be more active in the learning process, increase their involvement in understanding the material and provide a more interesting and interactive learning experience.

Abstract

This research was conducted from May 19 to June 21, 2025 at SD Inpres Tamalanrea 6 Makassar City by combining the Game Based Learning model and Communication Oriented method to train students' focus, speaking courage and social interaction. This research was applied to students with special needs who were in class IV The results show that the application of the GBL model combined with the Communication Oriented method is able to create a more active, enjoyable, and communicative learning atmosphere. ADHD students who previously experienced difficulty focusing began to show increased participation in learning activities, courage to communicate with teachers and peers, and the ability to complete assignments through educational games designed by teachers. However, the implementation of this model faces challenges in the form of limited resources, a lack of Special Assistant Teachers (GPK), a lack of adequate learning media, and less than optimal collaboration between teachers and parents. These findings indicate that the GBL model with a Communication Oriented approach is effective in improving the learning outcomes of students with special needs while creating a more supportive and inclusive learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of the learning environment, learning facilities, and parents' social status on the learning outcomes of fifth-grade students at SDI Tangalla, particularly in Indonesian language subjects. The research is driven by the low student achievement, with only about 60% reaching the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). A quantitative approach was employed using surveys and regression analysis. Data were collected through questionnaires, documentation, and observation of a sample of 60 students. The results indicate that all three independent variables—learning environment, learning facilities, and parents’ social status—have a significant simultaneous and partial influence on students’ academic performance. A supportive learning environment, adequate educational facilities, and higher socio-economic status of parents are positively correlated with improved learning outcomes. This study provides valuable insights for developing educational strategies that consider environmental, infrastructural, and socio-economic factors of students.

Abstract

Problems in learning narrative essays in elementary schools are often related to the lack of contextual and interesting learning media. This research aims to develop Mappalili Culture-Based Digital Comic Media  that is valid, practical, and effective. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with ADDIE design involving 13 students in grade V of SD Negeri 1 Labakkang (5 males and 8 females). The instruments used included expert validation sheets, digital comic media, activity implementation sheets, student and teacher response questionnaires, and learning outcome tests. The results of the study show that digital comic media is in the category of valid, practicality is considered positive, effectiveness is proven through high learning outcomes, excellent implementation of student activities, and positive student and teacher responses. Thus, this media has been successfully developed with an ethnomathematical approach that can integrate the local culture of Bugis Makassar through  the Mappalili tradition  in learning narrative essays.

Abstract

The advent of the digital age has brought about a shift from handwriting to typing using digital devices. This change has raised concerns about its impact on writing skills. This study aims to analyze the effect of handwriting and typing on students' writing skills. A quantitative pre-experimental research method was used, involving two writing groups (handwriting and typing). Data were collected through writing skill tests and observation sheets, then analyzed using normality tests, homogeneity tests, and t-tests (independent sample t-tests). The results showed that handwriting had an effect on writing skills with an average score of 82.55, while typing also had an effect with an average score of 70.14. These findings indicate that handwriting has a greater influence than typing on writing skills. Students who write by hand produce more structured writing in terms of idea organization, grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Meanwhile, typing helps with writing speed, but is lacking in terms of idea processing and writing structure.

Abstract

Observations in October 2024 at SDN 8 Pulau Laiya showed that fifth-grade students had difficulty recognizing local cultural identity, tended to imitate irrelevant social media content, and did not understand their own regional culture and stories. They were also less able to explore and appreciate cultural diversity in Pangkep, knowing only their own culture, and showed a tendency to compare and be less accepting of other cultures and beliefs. Stereotypes and ridicule of cultural differences, especially between the Bugis and Makassar tribes, still occur frequently. Participation in joint decision-making is also low, with students tending to be passive and follow the opinions of class leaders or teachers. The values of inclusiveness and social justice are not yet well established. This study aims to apply the *sociodrama* method based on local folklore as a learning strategy to instill the values of global diversity. The approach used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results show an increase in character traits such as tolerance, empathy, cooperation, and social awareness. Narratives have also proven effective in instilling the values of the Pancasila Student Profile, including responsibility, communication skills, problem solving, and fair leadership.
