Abstract

Pendidikan spiritual di sekolah selama ini kurang diterapkan, selama ini guru Pendidikan Agama Islam hanya mampu mengedepankan aspek kognitif atau hasil pencapaian akhir terhadap suatu mata pelajaran saja. Hal ini belum mencapai aspek afektif, yaitu pembentukan sifat dan karakter peserta didik, bagaimana siswa tersebut dapat menerapkan pelajaran yang telah didapat dan aspek psikomotorik yaitu pengembangan kreativitas. Pelajaran Agama belum menjadi alat utama untuk menentukan lulus atau tidaknya peserta didik dalam suatu jenjang pendidikan. Selain itu metode yang dilakukan oleh para guru Agama juga kurang bervariasi. Di dalam kelas peserta didik hanya duduk berjam-jam tetapi selama itu pikiran dan perasaan siswa tidak berada di dalam kelas. Peserta didik kurang terlibat aktif dalam proses pembelajaran baik itu dalam memperhatikan, mendengarkan atau merasakan apa yang sedang berlangsung. Untuk mengembangkan potensi peserta didik secara optimal diperlukan strategi pembelajaran yang sistematis dan terarah, sementara itu strategi yang selama ini dipakai guru dalam pembelajaran belum memberikan kebebasan peserta didik untuk mengembangkan berbagai kecerdasan baik intelektual, emosional ataupun spiritual. Sehingga perlu adanya suatu strategi pendidikan spiritual dengan menggunakan metode hypnoteaching di sekolah. Hasil dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan Strategi pendidikan spiritual pada mata pelajaran PAI melalui metode hypnoteaching di SMK N 3 Pekalongan ini meliputi: strategi pembentukan spiritual, strategi penjagaan spiritual dan strategi penyembuhan spiritual yang dilakukan oleh satu guru pengampu mata pelajaran PAI dan bisa dilaksanakan di dalam pembelajaran ataupun di luar pembelajaran dengan menyampaikan materi-materi spiritual melalui metode hypnoteaching dapat berjalan dengan baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat ketika strategi pendidikan spiritual pada mata pelajaran PAI bisa menumbuhkan kesadaran spiritual peserta didik yang bisa dilihat dari tingkah laku peserta didik sehari-hari, meskipun di SMK N 3 ini masih dalam tataran strategi pembentukan spiritual tetapi sudah berjalan dengan baik.

Abstract

The core of the paradigmatic disability of the world of Islamic thought, for Al-Mestiry, is the separation of the history of civilization from science. The challenge of modernity (tahaddiyât al-hadâtsah) of Muslims today is not only about the authentication (at-ta'shîl) of thought but at the same time about the revitalization of knowledge. The reading pattern of the structural dichotomy will never be able to accommodate knowledge in its entirety. For Al-Mestiry, the revolution of thought is an absolute requirement for generating civilization. Therefore, it is necessary to read integrally-dialectically through intra-epistema (at-tadâkhul al-ma'rifî) in the framework of total vision (ar-ru'yah al-kulliyyah) who heed the dialogical process of two points of view in it: ar-ru 'yah at-turâsiyyah and ar-ru'yah al-hadâtsiyyah. Thus, the momentum awareness (wa’yu al-mu'asharah) of change and renewal will teach humans about the openness of interpretation of the culture of religious thought (at-turâts).

Abstract

This discussion aims to find out how the four madhab imams explain the hujjah (concept of arguments) of ahad hadith specifically in the al-Kutub al-Sittaħ . This discussion used a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Based on the results of the discussion, the four imams have different views on the hujjah of ahad hadith. However, they agreed to use hadith as a secondary source of Islamic laws after the Qur’an. Based on the compilation of all hadith books which belong to al-Maṣādir al-Aṣlīyah, scholars of the hadith agree that the hadith books of Imam Bukhārī and Imam Muslim are the most authentic. The implications of this article indicate that the existing hadiths, which are compiled in al-Kutub al-Sittaħ, are a collection of hadits that can be scientifically accounted for in terms of their quality, so that it is no doubt to use them as one of the sources of the Islamic laws after the Qur’an.

Abstract

This article aims to analyse the concept of Client Centered Therapy as one of the group guidance and counselling techniques in the perspective of the Qur'an surah Ar-Ra'd verse 11. More specifically, analyses on this article focus on how the Client Centred Therapy theory views humans, the purpose and techniques of therapy, as well as the relationship between the counsellor and the counselee. This article is based on descriptive-qualitative research. Data are obtained through triangulation techniques, which are then analysed interactively. The results show that the service techniques of guidance and group counselling, with reference to the Client Centered Therapy theory, are in line with the Qur'an surat Ar-Ra'd verse 11. Client Centered Therapy theory and the Qur'an surah Ar-Ra'd verse 11 similarly view that the service techniques of guidance and group counselling contain the meanings of giving opportunities, roles, and, at the same time, respecting the counselee as an active, potential, and empowered person in determining the direction towards his/her personal kindness

Abstract

The aim of this paper is to describe Hassan Hanafi's thoughts in the discourse of the Qur'an and its exegeses. This study focus on Hassan Hanafi's ideas around thematic exegeses (mauḍu'i), which aim to complete the emptiness in the tahlīlī method that is not in accordance with the substance and needs of the people today. The method of tahlily now also makes the reader unable to identify his own reading. This makes the reading cool, useless, and absolute. Meanwhile, the people need a lively and useful exegesis, as well as a knowledge that are in accordance with their circumstances. Hassan's ideas in his works were analysed using a content analysis approach, which the author formulated in a title that was quite familiar with Hassan Hanafi himself, namely al-Tafsīr al-Yasāri. In his thematic exegesis (hermeneutics), Hassan Hanafi used Al-Qur'an as the main source. Based on the Qur'an, Hassan Hanafi seeks to describe humans and the social interrelations among them. Other things that are also misjudged relate to the position of humans in history, their ability to build social and political systems, and to propose alternatives through methods of analysing experiences that lead to the meaning of the text and even to reality itself.

Abstract

This article discusses the effort of Majelis Taklim Aqaid Khamsin (MTAK) Pekalongan in strengthening the theological doctrine Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja), especially on the devine attributes. Aswaja's theology has been Indonesian Muslims doctrine for a long time, but later the doctrine has been eroded by the others. It is influenced by the spread of Wahhabist theology by reluctanting to use takwil in understanding the anthropomorphic verses, while the Muktazili’s doctrine tends to upset the Aswaja’s theology. This study uses qualitative methods through interviews and observations. To fortify Aswaja's theology in the community, MTAK provides a provision of understanding to the community in the form of studies around God’s attributes by equipping the congregation with the naqli (tekstual) and aqli (rational) arguments. This study is carried out in the forms: (1) public teaching for all congregations; (2) dialogical guidance; (3) assistance for junior congregations; (4) consolidation of naqli and aqli arguments; and (5) assistance for senior cadres to teach people in various parts of surrounding areas of Pekalongan.

Abstract

This article investigates the Majlis Dhikr Kraton Pekalongan City’s concern on the ecosystem environment. The data are derived from qualitative methods by means of interviews and observations. This article presents two conclusions. First, the Majlis of Dhikr Kraton Pekalongan City is aware that the environment is created by Allah, which is dedicated for humans and their fellow beings. Secondly, the Majlis Dhikr Kraton of Pekalongan City has made important steps in its attempt of conserving, either in the form of handling or preventing the environment and ecosystem safety. Environmental damage is handled by processing textile wastewater, processing solid waste (garbage), repairing land through agriculture and plantation sectors, improving land through the fisheries sector, and cleaning up air pollution. The precautionary measures are implemented in the form of making infiltration wells and biopori holes in addition to socialization to the community.

Abstract

The goal of this paper is to get a better insight into the phenomenon of bersih desa ritual performed by members of the community in Purwosari, kabupaten Ponorogo, using phenomenological approach. Bersih desa ritual connotes one of the ancestral heritages, which is replete with symbols and activities that maintain the harmony between Islam and Javanese culture. The symbols not only mean the thanksgiving expression but also tolak balak (English: the antidote to disaster) by performing several rituals and offerings which are packaged in a series of events. Islam and Javanese hence combine, resulting in the syncretism of kejawen (English: Javanese) Islamic culture that is a repertoire of traditions and culture.

Abstract

This paper aims to explain the phenomenon of the fragility of the concept of ethnic identity in a multicultural society. Ethnic identity does not exclusively refer to something that is permanently attached to an individual. Rather, it also has to do with something that experiences development and transformation on the basis of the individual’s religious belief (religion). Indeed, ethnic identity oftentimes is associated with differences in race, religion, birthplace, and historical background. These differences, however, do not mater when individuals convert to Islam. Conversion to Islam as a consequence affects the extent to which individuals’ different ethnic identity is recognized as part of other ethnic identities. We conducted this study among ethnic Dayaks, Malays and Chinese in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. Data were obtained by means of interviews, observation and documentation. The main finding of the study reveals that ethnic backgrounds did not play a convincing role in the practice of multilateral social interactions. In this context, ethno-religious similarity more so than other factors easily unite members of ethnic groups. Here then lies the cycle of ethnicity that has returned to the classical phase wherein ethnic formation is not only determined by historical background, territory, and blood relations, but also religion.

Abstract

Dakwah (English: Preaching) by Kiai (English: Javanese terminology referring to a Muslim cleric) commonly takes place in mosques, Islamic Boarding Schools, Majlis Taklim, or other Islamic religious forums. The dakwah is practiced mostly by inviting adherents of Islam to be a truly Muslim (Muslim Kaffah), or evoking non-Muslims to convert their religion into Islam for the sake of their salvation in the hereafter. However, a kiai in Yogyakarta who is familiarly called Kiai Muhaimin has practiced a unique style of dakwah. He preaches Islam not only in his in-group communities and habitual places but also in churches and other religious places of worship. His dakwah thus has been reaching a wide range of places of worship of besides Islamic ones. He did not call for non-Muslims to convert to Islam. Rather, he has promoted tolerance and a better understanding of pluralism. Likewise, he aims his religious standpoints on Islam in Muslim communities for seeding actual pluralism among Muslims. He has formulated a conceptual framework of Islamic moderate dakwah as a philosophical basis for building tolerance and coexistence in Indonesian multicultural society and socio-religious life. Through the organization he established, i.e., FPUB (Interfaith Brotherhood Forum), he put into practice such an Islamic moderation.
