Abstract

Clove plants (Syzygium aromaticum) are tropical plants highly suitable for cultivation in Indonesia. They thrive in hot climates with 8 hours of sunlight per day and evenly distributed rainfall. They can be planted and continue to produce at altitudes ranging from 0 to 900 meters above sea level. Additionally, the types of soil suitable for clove cultivation include Andosol, Latosol, Regosol, and Red Podzolic soils, with a soil pH of 5.1 to 5.6. Research Method: This study is a descriptive analysis. The unit of analysis is the clove cultivation area in Petuanan Negeri Salamahu, Tehoru District, Central Maluku Regency. A sample of 4 clove land plots/groves in the Petuanan area of Negeri Salamahu was selected using Purposive Random Sampling. Results: For the same soil type across the four study locations, it was found that altitude, slope gradient, and tree age significantly influenced clove production. Cloves were more productive at altitudes below 114 meters above sea level, with a slope gradient of less than 20%.

Abstract

The Treffinger learning model is one of the instructional models that develop divergent thinking skills. This research is a quasi-experimental study. The research design used is a Pre-test Post-test design, which is a quasi-experimental design that investigates the level of similarity between groups. The study was designed with two groups: an experimental group and a control group. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 14. The population in this study consisted of eighth-grade students, with two classes randomly selected. The data obtained in this study is quantitative, in the form of process skills test results and science learning outcomes tests. The data analysis techniques used include descriptive analysis and multivariate analysis (MANOVA) with the assistance of SPSS 26.0 for Windows. The results of the study showed that the process skills and learning outcomes of students taught using the Treffinger model, based on the F-value analysis (F = 0.116) with a significance level of less than 0.05, indicate significant differences in process skills and learning outcomes between the groups using the Treffinger model and those using conventional methods. The difference in the average scores of process skills and learning outcomes, determined using the Least Significant Difference (LSD) method, was 1.651 with a significance level of less than 0.05. This indicates that the learning outcomes achieved by students taught using the Treffinger model are better compared to those taught using conventional methods.

Abstract

This study examines the processing of wild honey (Apis dorsata) as a means to increase the income of the community, particularly the honey processors in Kobisonta Village, East Seram Seti District, Central Maluku Regency. The research then develops strategies for further development. The method used in this study is a mixed-method approach, combining qualitative and quantitative research. The qualitative research uses descriptive analysis, while the quantitative research employs multiple linear regression analysis to predict the effect of independent variables on the dependent variable and SWOT analysis to develop strategies for increasing the income of honey processors. The results of the study indicate that, partially, the variables of education, business duration, and capital have a significant impact, with a significance value of sig = 0.000 < 0.05. However, the number of dependents has little effect. Simultaneously, all four variables are significant, with a significance value of sig = 0.000 < 0.05. Based on the strategies developed using the SWOT model, several strategies were identified: for the S-O strategy, enhancing the production of higher-quality honey, pioneering new marketing areas, and increasing production volume; for the W-O strategy, providing guidance and honey processing technology, establishing institutions, securing government support, and promoting appropriate innovations; for the S-T strategy, building consumer confidence and support, forming partnerships, and establishing regulations by the government and other promotional agents; and for the T-W strategy, restoring and reforesting areas and ensuring hygienic product packaging.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of the problem-based learning model on students' knowledge competence and critical thinking skills regarding inter-village conflict. The research design used is an experimental design with a pretest-posttest randomized control technique. The research population includes all 11th-grade classes at Madrasah Aliyah BPD (Village Management Agency) Iha, Maluku Province, which consists of three courses. The sample consists of two classes: XI 2, as the experimental class implementing the problem-based learning model, and XI 3, as the control class implementing the direct instruction model. The analysis of students' knowledge competence and critical thinking skills was conducted using a t-test. The results show that the descriptive analysis indicates that the problem-based learning model effectively enhances students' knowledge competence and critical thinking skills based on the following factors: (1) student activity levels are categorized as active, and (2) learning outcomes mastery is achieved. It is evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 ≤ 0.05 and a t-value (5.637) ≥ t-table (1.688). It indicates that there is a significant difference in the post-test mean scores, with the problem-based learning model being more effective than the direct instruction model in improving knowledge competence and critical thinking skills.

Abstract

The rapid growth of cities, coupled with increasing urbanization, has led to numerous problems. This study employs a literature review method based on critical analysis and in-depth knowledge of relevant literature. The findings of this study indicate that cities in Indonesia are still plagued by poverty, with various social issues creating opportunities for criminal activities, violations of moral norms, irregular land use, and other social phenomena. Additionally, the expansion of slum settlements has further deteriorated the quality of life, contributing to environmental degradation. The urban heat island effect, driven by population growth, the increase in concrete infrastructure development, excessive energy use, and the widespread use of transportation, also exacerbates these issues.

Abstract

Community forests, by definition, are located on privately owned land and are managed by the local people, so there should be no tenure issues related to them. However, several factors can trigger land conflicts. First, community forests are sometimes established under profit-sharing schemes between different landowners and forest farmers who work the land. Still, the agreements are often informal and need to be in accordance with the Basic Agrarian Law (UUPA). Second, community forests planted on idle state-owned land have the potential to cause conflicts between the government and the people. Third, there are conflicts between different managers of community forests. Solutions to prevent and resolve potential tenure conflicts in community forests include: first, providing education and assistance and resolving disputes through negotiation and mediation. Second, state-owned land can be converted into private property (either for individuals or groups), and the land can be designated as HTR (Community Plantation Forests) and HKm (Community Forests). Third, encouraging the clear demarcation of land/forest boundaries used, creating a proportional social structure within the production dimension, ensuring clear land ownership and supervision, and strengthening the institutions of community forest farmers by the gove

Abstract

Multicultural education in schools is crucial for creating an inclusive, tolerant, and harmonious society in Indonesia. In a multicultural learning environment, students can gain a broader understanding of the world, learn to communicate with people from different cultures and build harmonious relationships. The implementation of multicultural education in schools can also help address discrimination and intolerance that still exist in society and better prepare students to face the challenges of an increasingly complex world. To achieve the implementation of multicultural education in schools steps such as raising awareness and understanding of the importance of multicultural education, creating spaces for dialogue and communication with students, parents, and the community, and providing adequate support and resources are necessary. Through the implementation of multicultural education in schools, students can build mutual understanding, tolerance, and cooperation with people from different cultures, thereby contributing to a more inclusive, tolerant, and harmonious society.
