This article explores the dialogue between Proverbs 17:17, a part of biblical Wisdom Literature, and Siri’ na Pacce, a traditional value system of the Bugis-Makassar ethnic group. Both emphasize universal values such as love, solidarity, empathy, and human dignity within community life. Proverbs 17:17 underscores the importance of a faithful and loving friend especially in difficult times, while Siri’ na Pacce highlights honor (siri’) and compassion in suffering (pacce). This study employs a qualitative approach through literature review to analyze scriptural texts and local philosophies contextually. The findings indicate that these two traditions complement each other and enrich Christian faith expression in local cultural contexts. Their integration also supports the development of contextual theology and contributes to building a compassionate and dignified society. Keduanya menekankan nilai-nilai universal berupa kasih, solidaritas, empati, dan martabat dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Amsal 17:17 menegaskan pentingnya kesetiaan dan kasih seorang sahabat terutama dalam masa sulit, sementara siri’ na pacce menyoroti pentingnya harga diri (siri’) dan solidaritas dalam penderitaan (pacce). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi pustaka untuk menganalisis teks-teks kitab suci dan filosofi lokal secara kontekstual. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai tersebut saling melengkapi dan mampu memperkaya pemahaman iman Kristen dalam konteks budaya lokal. Integrasi keduanya juga menjadi dasar pengembangan teologi kontekstual dan membangun masyarakat yang bermartabat dan penuh kasih. Dalam dunia yang cenderung individualistik, nilai-nilai ini tetap relevan untuk memperkuat relasi dan membentuk komunitas iman yang inklusif.

The increasing brutality of state apparatuses in recent years has disrupted communal life and poses a significant threat to individual subjectivity. This phenomenon—often referred to as “state terrorism”—manifests under the pretext of maintaining public security and social order, yet frequently targets specific community groups, functioning as a mechanism of control rather than protection. This study draws on secondary data from reports, media coverage, and human rights documentation from 2021-2022 to examine the extent and impact of such violence. Using Michel Foucault’s critical-philosophical framework, the analysis reveals that state apparatuses often act as agents of systemic brutality, undermining human rights and fostering a climate of fear. Moreover, the entanglement of capitalism, racism, and discrimination transforms social relationships, encouraging mutual surveillance among citizens and masking state coercion as mediationAbstrakBrutalitas aparat beberapa tahun terakhir menjadi sebuah fenomena yang mengganggu kehidupan bermasyarakat, bahkan menimbulkan ancaman terhadap subjektivitas individu. Brutalitas aparat atau bisa disebut sebagai “terorisme negara” adalah salah satu ketakutan terhadap aparat keamanan dengan berdalih mengamankan dan menertibkan, namun justru menjadi subjek eksekutor terhadap masyarakat. Berkedok “mengayomi masyarakat” padahal bentuk lain dari “mengontrol masyarakat” dengan menargetkan kelompok masyarakat tertentu dan memiliki motif menebarkan ketakutan dengan dalih mencegah kegaduhan. Data dari 2021-2022 menunjukkan signifikansi brutalitas aparat sebagai eksekutor hak asasi manusia. Secara metodologis, penelitian ini bertumpu pada perspektif kritis-filosofis Michel Foucault. Hasil memperlihatkan bahwa aparat negara menjadi penyebab terjadinya brutalitas terhadap kehidupan manusia dan mengancam hak asasi manusia. Aparat negara menjadi teroris bagi rakyat. Kapitalisme dengan bercampur rasisme dan diskriminasi mengecam hubungan masyarakat yang saling peduli menjadi saling mengawasi, maka membuat aparatus negara dibuat seolah menengahi persoalan.

Drug addicts are typically considered as morally, spiritually, and physically shattered individuals. Pastoral care is provided through the existence of the KSSY-managed drug recovery clinic "Rumah Kita." According to the research question, partaking in the Eucharist is a holistic approach to drug addiction recovery. Using a descriptive analysis methodology and qualitative research methods, this study focuses on former drug users receiving treatment at "Rumah Kita." The goal is to comprehend the Eucharistic meaning for those in the process of healing and to examine the ways in which this meaning influences their spiritual and social development. As a transforming experience, a wellspring of spiritual fortitude, and a healing community for the celebration of new life, the Eucharist functions as a comprehensive encounter. Addicts who have taken drugs believe that attending Eucharistic celebrations makes them more conscious of their transgressions. Through the love of the Father, they are fully formed and prepared to face the outside world. For those overcoming addiction who are working toward recovery, the Eucharistic celebration transforms into a profoundly holistic experience.AbstrakPecandu narkoba sering dipandang sebagai manusia yang rusak secara moral, spritual, dan fisik. Kehadiran rehabilitasi narkoba “Rumah Kita” yang di kelola para suster KSSY, menjadi sarana yang memberikan pendampingan pastoral. Rumusan penelitian: Perayaan Ekaristi menjadi perjumpaaan holistik terhadap pemulihan adiksi narkoba. Metode penelitian menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dengan desain analisis diskriptif terhadap mantan adiksi narkoba di rehabilitasi “Rumah Kita”. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui makna Ekaristi bagi individu yang menjalani pemulihan dan menganalisis bagaimana makna tersebut berkontribusi terhadap traspormasi sosial dan spritual mereka. Ekaristi menjadi perjumpaan yang holistik yakni pengalaman trasformatif, sumber kekuatan spritual, dan komunitas penyembuhan untuk perayaan hidup baru. Korban adiksi narkoba merasa bahwa perayaan Ekaristi membawa mereka pada kesadaran akan keberdosaanya. Kasih Bapa merangkul mereka untuk menjadi manusia yang utuh dan siap menghadapi dunia baru. Perayaan ekaristi menjadi sarana perjumpaan holistik yang mendalam bagi korban adiksi yang berjuang untuk pulih.

The Catholic Church practices a monetary offering commonly called a collection. If you look at the Torah, offerings are also practiced by the Jews. The Jews practice tithing in their religious practices. Tithing is the offering of ten percent of the produce of the land and livestock (Lev 27:30.32). This article will study the meaning of the collection in the Catholic Church based on the practice of tithing by the Jews in the Torah. There is a basic meaning taught by Jesus regarding the offering which is then applied by the Catholic Church in the practice of Christian faith. The method used to complete this research is literature study and scriptural interpretation. This paper aims to understand tithing in the practice of the Jewish faith according to the Torah and help Catholics interpret the offering (collect) practiced in the faith life of the Catholic Church.AbstrakGereja Katolik mempraktikkan persembahan berupa uang yang biasa disebut kolekte.Jika melihat Kitab Taurat persembahan juga dipraktikkan oleh orang-orang Yahudi. Orang-orang Yahudi melaksanakan persepuluhan dalam praktik keagamaan mereka. Persepuluhanadalah persembahan sepuluh persen dari hasil bumi dan ternak (Im 27:30.32). Penelitian inimempelajari makna kolekte dalam Gereja Katolik berpijak dari praktik persepuluhan orangYahudi di dalam Kitab Taurat. Ada dasar pemaknaan yang diajarkan oleh Yesus mengenaipersembahan yang kemudian diterapkan oleh Gereja Katolik dalam praktik iman Kristiani.Metode yang dipakai untuk melengkapi penelitian ini adalah studi pustaka dan tafsir kitabsuci. This title was chosen because it sees the role of the assistant priest which is so important in assisting the faith of the sick and seeing the picture of the faith assistance of the sick that has been going on so far. The assistant priest is the spearhead of the church's pastoral ministry work. Assistant priests have many roles in the church. One of them is to provide faith assistance as well as send communion for the sick. The problem that arises is that there are many assistant priests, but there are few who serve the faith assistance of the sick. In response to this problem, the author conducted a research on the role of assistant priests and faith assistance for the sick. Observation was made to see firsthand the role of the assistant priest in assisting the faith of the sick. The author uses qualitative research by conducting in-depth interviews with assistant priests by paying attention to their age and tenure. The selection of informants was carried out on the proposal and discussion with the head of the liturgical section and the coordinator of the assistant priest. The results of the study show that the role of assistant priests in assisting the faith of the sick is very important and missed by the people. However, the provisions owned by this assistant priest still need to be increased, developed, and improved, especially the provisions for faith assistance for the sick. The competence of assistant priests needs to be improved in order to serve well. The faith assistance carried out must be able to bring enthusiasm, motivation, joy, and comfort to the sick and their families. Faith assistance, faith confirmation, and gratitude for the assistant priest who serves. Assisting the faith of the sick is not just a task but a call from the heart.AbstrakJudul ini dipilih karena melihat peran asisten imam yang begitu penting dalam pendampingan iman orang sakit sekaligus melihat gambaran pendampingan iman orang sakit yang telah berlangsung selama ini. Asisten imam adalah ujung tombak karya pelayanan pastoral gereja. Asisten imam memiliki peran yang banyak dalam gereja. Salah satunya adalah memberikan pendampingan iman sekaligus mengirimkan komuni bagi orang sakit. Persoalan yang muncul adalah asisten imam itu banyak, namun yang melayani pendampingan iman orang sakit itu sedikit. Menanggapi pokok permasalahan ini, penulis melakukan penelitian mengenai peran asisten imam dan pendampingan iman orang sakit. Observasi dilakukan untuk melihat secara langsung mengenai gambaran peran asisten imam dalam pendampingan iman orang sakit. Penulis memakai penelitian kualitatif dengan melaksanakan wawancara mendalam dengan asisten imam dengan memperhatikan usia dan masa baktinya. Pemilihan informan dilakukan atas usul dan diskusi dengan ketua seksi liturgi dan koordinator asisten imam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran asisten imam dalam pendampingan iman orang sakit itu sangat penting dan dirindukan oleh umat. Namun, bekal yang dimiliki oleh asisten imam ini masih perlu ditambah, dikembangkan, dan ditingkatkan, khususnya bekal untuk pendampingan iman orang sakit. Kompetensi asisten imam perlu ditingkatkan agar bisa melayani dengan baik. Pendampingan iman yang dilakukan harus bisa membawa semangat, motivasi, sukacita, dan penghiburan bagi yang sakit dan keluarganya. Pendampingan iman peneguhan iman dan rasa syukur bagi asisten imam yang melayani. Pendampingan iman orang sakit bukanlah sekedar tugas melainkan panggilan dari dalam hati.

In the community of West Wewewa, children's development and growth still receive little attention. Various life challenges arise among children and they often struggle to face them on their own. This study examines pedagogical patterns in child education in the West Wewewa community, Sumba-NTT, by combining local wisdom and the advice of the Book of Wisdom (the Book of Proverbs, the Book of Ecclesiastes, and the Book of Job). This review aims to offer a new perspective for Catholic families in educating children through the elaboration of local culture and the teachings of Scripture, so that in this way children do not feel they are struggling alone to face the reality of their life problems. The method used is a literature review study and an interview method via WhatsApp to several resource persons. The results show that parents in West Wewewa actively provide local wisdom advice to their children. This education is considered important because it passes on cultural values that motivate children in the future. In addition, this research offers a pedagogical approach that combines local culture with the advice of the Book of Wisdom in providing alternatives for educating the children of the West Wewewa community.Abstrak Dalam Masyarakat Wewewa Barat perkembangan dan pertumbuhan anak masih kurang mendapat perhatian. Berbagai tantangan hidup muncul di antara anak-anak dan sering kali mereka berjuang untuk menghadangnya sendiri. Penelitian ini mengkaji pola pedagogis dalam pendidikan anak pada masyarakat Wewewa Barat, Sumba-NTT, dengan memadukan kearifan lokal dan nasihat Kitab Hikmat (Kitab Amsal, Kitab Pengkhotbah, dan Kitab Ayub). Ulasan ini bertujuan untuk menawarkan perspektif baru bagi keluarga Katolik dalam mendidik anak melalui elaborasi budaya lokal dan ajaran Kitab Suci, sehingga dengan cara itu anak-anak tidak merasa berjuang sendiri untuk menghadapi realitas permasalahan hidup mereka. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur review dan metode wawancara melalui WhatsApp kepada beberapa narasumber. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa orang tua di Wewewa Barat aktif memberikan nasihat kearifan lokal kepada anak-anak mereka. Pendidikan ini dianggap penting karena meneruskan nilai budaya yang memotivasi anak-anak di masa depan. Selain itu, penelitian ini menawarkan pendekatan pedagogis yang memadukan budaya setempat dengan nasihat Kitab Hikmat dalam memberikan alternatif untuk mendidik anak-anak masyarakat Wewewa Barat.

Along with the development of technology, there is currently a lot of information that can mislead the Christian faith of the congregation. Various social media and electronic media also greatly influence the development of the congregation's knowledge of heretical teachings that are not based on the Word of God in the Bible. The influence of freedom of expression, appreciation is a good thing, but if it has touched the realm of Christian Faith, then Pastors, Pastors of the Session must be sensitive to these issues. Contemporary issues of LGBT, heretical teachings that contradict the Bible that develop on social media can be carried in the church and become a congregational problem. Therefore, the researcher conducted this study aims to provide discourse to the Pastors, Pastors and Sheperd, in order to have good theological knowledge skills, so that in providing pastoral guidance and shepherding must be in accordance with the correct Christian Theology. In this study, researchers also raised the history of pastoral theology in correlation with theology and pastoral science, church leaders must have a good formal theological education, how the church overcomes the problems of contemporary issues. This research uses a qualitative method with data collection through literature study and analyzed to achieve useful results in the academic world.AbstrakSeiring perkembangan teknologi, saat ini berkembang banyak informasi yang dapat menyesatkan iman Kristen jemaat. Berbagai media sosial dan media elektronik juga sangat mempengaruhi perkembangan pengetahuan jemaat tentang hal-hal pengajaran-pengajaran yang sesat yang tidak berdasarkan pada Firman Allah dalam Alkitab. Pengaruh-pengaruh kebebasan berekspresi, berapresiasi adalah hal yang baik, akan tetapi jika sudah menyentuh rana Iman Kristiani, maka Para Pastor, Pendeta Gembala Sidang harus peka terhadap permasalahan-permasalah tersebut. Isu-isu kontemporer LGBT, ajaran-ajaran sesat yang bertentangan dengan Alkitab yang berkembang di media sosial dapat terbawa dalam gereja dan menjadi permasalahan jemaat. Oleh karena itu peneliti melakukan penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan wacana kepada para Pastor, Pendeta dan Gembala, agar memiliki kemampuan ilmu teologi yang baik, sehingga dalam memberikan bimbingan pastoral dan penggembalaan harus sesuai dengan Teologi Kristen yang benar. Dalam penelitian ini, peneliti juga mengangkat Sejarah teologi Pastoral korelasinya dengan Ilmu Teologi dan Penggembalaan, Pemimpin gereja harus memiliki Pendidikan formal teologi yang baik, bagaimana gereja mengatasi masalah-masalah isu kontemporer. Feminism has become an engaging and relevant topic in today’s era. The position and role of women in society are reasons why feminism continues to be advocated. This study discusses one of the feminist figures in Indonesia who fought in her way in her time. R.A. Kartini certainly had her uniqueness in advocating for women's rights, especially in obtaining education. The experiences and observations of social practices she encountered, both in Javanese culture and how the colonialists treated natives, were expressed in the form of writings (correspondence) with some of her friends in the Netherlands. Eleven years after her death, this collection of letters was published into a book titled “Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang” (“Out of Dark Comes Light”). This book inspired many people, especially in Indonesian society, to believe that women also have an essential role in communal life. Kartini’s struggle for women’s equality opened people’s eyes to take action in addressing the social inequalities present in society. Previous studies have largely examined Kartini from the perspectives of educational and national emancipation, but few have explored her relevance to church life, particularly regarding the role of Catholic women. This study aims to examine Kartini’s feminist ideas and discover their relevance to the Indonesian Church through the work of the Indonesian Catholic Women's Association (WKRI). This study uses a qualitative method with a historical-theological approach, including a literature review of Kartin’s letters, Church documents, and a case study of the role of WKRI. The results of the study indicate that Kartini’s feminist ideas have inspired the empowerment of Catholic women and encouraged WKRI to become a vehicle for women's active participation in Church and community life. This study confirms that Kartini’s ideas remain relevant as a basis for theological reflection and praxis in the struggle for gender equality and social justice in the Indonesian Church.AbstrakFeminisme telah menjadi topik yang menarik dan relevan di era saat ini. Posisi dan peran perempuan dalam masyarakat menjadi alasan mengapa feminisme terus diperjuangkan. Kajian ini membahas salah satu tokoh feminis di Indonesia yang berjuang dengan caranya sendiri pada masanya. RA Kartini tentu memiliki keunikan dalam memperjuangkan hak-hak perempuan, khususnya dalam memperoleh pendidikan. Pengalaman dan pengamatan terhadap praktik-praktik sosial yang ditemuinya, baik dalam budaya Jawa maupun bagaimana penjajah memperlakukan penduduk asli, dituangkan dalam bentuk tulisan (surat-menyurat) dengan beberapa sahabatnya di Belanda. Sebelas tahun setelah kematiannya, kumpulan surat-surat ini diterbitkan menjadi sebuah buku berjudul “Habis Gelap Terbitlah Terang”. Buku ini menginspirasi banyak orang, khususnya di masyarakat Indonesia, untuk percaya bahwa perempuan juga memiliki peran penting dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Perjuangan Kartini untuk mengangkat harkat dan martabat perempuan membuka mata masyarakat untuk melakukan sesuatu terhadap ketimpangan sosial yang terjadi di masyarakat. Kondisi sosial tersebut mendorong Kartini untuk tidak berpaling dan membebaskan perempuan dari penindasan dan keterbelakangan sosial. Relevansi pemikiran Kartini dapat ditemukan dalam Wanita Katolik Republik Indonesia (WKRI) yang masih eksis hingga saat ini. Organisasi ini menjadi wadah bagi wanita Katolik untuk berpartisipasi dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat. Organisasi ini muncul dari keprihatinan sosial, khususnya isu upah rendah bagi perempuan dan keterbelakangan perempuan di berbagai bidang. Kartini meninggalkan pelajaran berharga bahwa ketidakadilan sosial menantang individu untuk tidak berdiam diri demi kebaikan bersama (bonum commune).

This paper explores the paradoxical relationship between melancholy and creativity within the framework of Heideggerian philosophy. Building upon the notion that melancholy is not merely a psychological state but a fundamental mode of being, it argues that this condition, characterized by an awareness of human finitude and the limitations of existence, serves as a crucial catalyst for creative activity. Following Heidegger, the paper posits that true freedom, the cornerstone of creative expression, is inextricably linked to a sense of burden and responsibility, giving rise to a melancholic mood. This melancholic contemplation, while seemingly negative, provides the fertile ground for artistic and intellectual innovation. The paper analyzes how this interplay between melancholic awareness and the creative impulse manifests in various forms of human expression, from artistic creation to philosophical inquiry. By examining the act of creation as a confrontation with "nothingness" and a struggle to find meaning in the face of mortality, the paper demonstrates how melancholy, rather than hindering creativity, serves as its essential precondition.

This article discusses the interpretation of the meaning of heart in the book of Ezekiel 36: 26-38 from the perspective of the spirituality of the Congregation of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. This research is motivated by the use of the text of Ezekiel 36: 26-38 as a devotional reading material in a congregational order of worship which is indicated to have similar meaning with the spirituality of the congregation. By exploring textually from the Book of Ezekiel and the principles of congregational spirituality, this article aims to show how the meaning of heart in Ezekiel 36:26-28 can be interpreted from the perspective of the spirituality of the Congregation of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus by describing the interpretation of the meaning of heart in the Book of Ezekiel 36: 26-38 and the spirituality of the congregation as well as looking deeper into the similarities and differences in the meaning of heart in both. The author uses descriptive-analytical method with qualitative approach in this research. There are 3 important questions that become the instruments of this research, namely: What is the context of the Book of Ezekiel 36: 26-28? What is the spirituality of the heart in the Congregation of Priests of the Sacred Heart of Jesus? What are the similarities and peculiarities of each in interpreting the meaning of heart? The results of the research show that there is a new understanding and meaning of the interpretation of the meaning of the heart towards Ezekiel 36:26 from the perspective of the spirituality of the Congregation.AbstrakArtikel ini membahas mengenai interpretasi makna hati dalam kitab Yehezkiel 36: 26-38 dari sudut pandang spiritualitas Kongregasi Imam-imam Hati Kudus Yesus. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya penggunaan teks Kitab Yehezkiel 36: 26-38 ini sebagai bahan bacaan permenungan dalam sebuah tata peribadatan kongregasi yang disinyalir memiliki kesamaan pemaknaan dengan spiritualitas kongregasi. Dengan menggali secara tekstual dari Kitab Yehezkiel dan prinsip-prinsip spiritualitas kongregasi, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperlihatkan bagaimana makna hati dalam Yehezkiel 36:26-28 dapat diinterpretasikan dari perspektif spiritualitas Kongregasi Imam-Imam Hati Kudus Yesus dengan mendeskripsikan interpretasi makna hati dalam Kitab Yehezkiel 36: 26-38 dan spiritualitas kongregasi serta melihat lebih dalam kesamaan dan perbedaan makna hati dalam keduanya. Penulis menggunakan metode deskriptif-analitis dengan pendekatan kualitatif dalam penelitian ini. Adapun 3 pertanyaan penting yang menjadi instrumen penelitian ini, yaitu: bagaimana konteks Kitab Yehezkiel 36: 26-28? Apa spiritualitas hati dalam Kongregasi Imam-imam Hati Kudus Yesus? Apa kesamaan dan kekhasan masing-masing dalam menginterpretasi makna hati? Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa adanya pemahaman dan pemaknaan baru mengenai interpretasi makna hati terhadap Yehezkiel 36:26 dari perspektif spiritualitas Kongregasi yang menyirat pesan pada dimensi pemulihan dan penebusan umat manusia yang senada.
