Abstract

Introduction: Anemia in pregnant women is one of the health problems that often occur and can have a negative impact on pregnancy. Iron and other nutrient deficiencies during pregnancy can increase the risk of complications, including premature labor and low birth weight (BBLR). This study aims to analyze the effect of anemia in pregnant women on premature labor and BBLR incidence. Research Methodology: This study uses an observational design with a retrospective cohort approach. Data is collected from the medical records of pregnant women who have given birth in the hospital for a certain period. The research sample consisted of pregnant women who experienced anemia and those who did not experience anemia. Result: The results showed that pregnant women with anemia had a higher risk of preterm labor compared to pregnant women without anemia (OR = 2.5; p < 0.05). In addition, the prevalence of babies with low birth weight was higher in mothers with anemia (OR = 3.1; p < 0.05). The results of the multivariate analysis showed that anemia in pregnant women was an independent risk factor for the incidence of premature labor and BBLR after being controlled by other factors such as maternal age, nutritional status, and obstetric history. Conclusion: Anemia in pregnant women has a significant effect on the increased risk of premature labor and low birth weight. Therefore, efforts to prevent and treat anemia during pregnancy must be improved through early screening, nutrition education, and iron and folic acid supplementation to reduce adverse impacts on mothers and babies

Abstract

Introduction: Game Online is a virtual world game site connected via the internet. Playing a game online intensely and with a high level of difficulty will trigger an increase in the production of adrenaline hormones, thus affecting blood pressure, pulse rate, and breathing. This study aims to determine the relationship between playing online games and blood pressure, pulse rate, and breathing rhythm. Research Methodology: The study used a quantitative research method, a non-experimental type with a cross-sectional design. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 84 people. The research variables were measured using a digital sphygmomanometer, pulse oximeter, and manual respiratory examination. Data was analyzed using SPSS 25 with the Pearson product-moment test and linear regression. Result: the majority of the sample was playing games online 7 times a week (56%), with a duration of 3 hours a day (41.7%). The results of the Pearson test showed that the intensity of playing online games was positively correlated with blood pressure (p<0.05; r=0.529), pulse rate (p<0.05; r=0.482), and respiration (p<0.05; r=0.269). The results of the linear regression test proved that the intensity of playing online games affected blood pressure (p<0.05; R-square=0.347), pulse rate (p<0.05; R-square=0.232), and respiration (p<0.05; R-square=0.072). Conclusion: It can be concluded that there is a positive relationship between the intensity of playing online games with blood pressure, pulse, and respiratory frequency. The higher the intensity of playing online games, the higher the value of the three physiological indicators. In addition, the intensity of playing online games has also been shown to affect blood pressure, pulse, and breathing. These findings suggest that intensive online gaming activities can have an impact on the body's physiological condition

Abstract

Introduction: Public health education plays an important role in promoting healthy living behaviors and reducing the burden of preventable diseases. However, the effectiveness of various health education programs in consistently changing individual behavior is still a topic of scientific discussion. This study aims to assess the effectiveness of public health education programs in improving healthy living behaviors, such as increased physical activity, healthy diet, smoking cessation, and adherence to preventive health checks. Research Methodology: This systematic review follows the PRISMA guidelines and includes a literature search from PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases for studies published between 2010 and 2024. Included studies should evaluate public health education interventions aimed at improving one or more healthy living behaviors in the general population. Data were collected and analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively to assess the impact of the intervention. Results: Of the 3,267 articles identified, 42 studies met the inclusion criteria. The majority of effective programs combine a community-based approach, digital media, and local stakeholder engagement. Overall, there was a significant improvement in healthy living behaviors in the intervention group compared to the control group, with the most pronounced effect on increased fruit and vegetable consumption and increased frequency of physical activity. Conclusion: Public health education programs are generally effective in promoting healthy living behaviors, especially when designed in a participatory manner and based on local contexts. These results support the importance of health policy development that encourages educational interventions as part of a sustainable health promotion strategy

Abstract

Introduction: Pregnancy is a vulnerable phase for the mother's mental health. Adequate husband support is believed to reduce the risk of psychological disorders such as depression, anxiety, and stress. This study aims to systematically examine the influence of husband support on the psychological well-being of mothers during pregnancy Research Methodology: This systematic study was conducted by searching scientific articles in the PubMed, Scopus, and PsycINFO databases from 2020 to 2025. The inclusion criteria included quantitative studies that evaluated the relationship between husband support and the psychological condition of pregnant women. Data from 18 eligible studies were analyzed narratively. Results: Most studies show that emotional, informative, and practical support from husbands is negatively correlated with maternal levels of depression, anxiety, and stress. Husbands who are actively involved in prenatal care contribute to the improvement of the mother's mental health. The lack of husband support has been shown to worsen psychological conditions during pregnancy. Conclusion: Husband's support has a significant impact on maintaining the psychological well-being of pregnant women. Family-based interventions and couples education programs can be effective strategies to improve husband support and maternal mental health during pregnancy

Abstract

promotive and preventive efforts. The implementation of the Regional Public Service Agency Financial Management Pattern (PPK-BLUD) provides flexibility in resource management, including the recruitment of contract workers. However, high workloads, low job satisfaction, and dissatisfaction with salaries can trigger turnover intentions of health workers, which has an impact on service quality and organizational stability. Research Methodology: This study uses a cross-sectional design with a quantitative approach. The research population includes all health workers with BLUD contract status from 37 health centers, and it includes as many as 418 people. The sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique, resulting in 204 respondents who met the inclusion criteria, namely, having worked for more than 6 months. Multiple linear regression tests were carried out for data analysis. Results: The results of the analysis using multiple linear regression showed that there was a significant relationship between workload and turnover intention (p = 0.001), as well as a significant relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention (p = 0.043) in BLUD contract health workers. Meanwhile, satisfaction with salary showed no significant relationship with turnover intention (p = 0.169). These findings indicate that high workloads and low job satisfaction contribute to the increased willingness of healthcare workers to leave their jobs. In contrast, salary satisfaction levels are not the dominant factor in determining these intentions. Conclusion: This study shows that workload and job satisfaction have a significant relationship with the turnover intention of health workers under BLUD contracts, while salary satisfaction has no significant effect. Therefore, good human resource planning, workload management, and increased job satisfaction are important strategies for suppressing exit intentions and maintaining the sustainability and quality of services at the Health Center

Abstract

Introduction: Home care is a form of health care that is increasingly needed as the need for long-term care increases and a community-based approach to service. In this context, nurses are important as the main implementers of services in direct contact with patients. However, regulations that regulate home care practices often affect nurses' movement space and professional autonomy in providing optimal services. This study aims to analyze the impact of home care regulations on the independent role of nurses in society. Research Methodology: The method used is qualitative, using literature studies and semi-structured interviews with active nurses in home care practice. Results: Results show that restrictive and unclear regulations limit independent clinical decision-making, create legal uncertainty, and reduce public trust in the professional capacity of nurses. Conversely, supportive regulations can strengthen nurses' independent roles, improve service efficiency, and encourage collaboration between health teams. Conclusion: a balanced policy is needed between legal oversight and empowerment of nurses so that their role in the public health system can be optimized.

Abstract

Introduction: The increasing prevalence of chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, and heart disease demands a more adaptive and sustainable healthcare system. Community-based care programs and home care are becoming increasingly relevant approaches to holistically improving patients' quality of life. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of community care and home care programs in improving the quality of life of patients with chronic diseases. Research Methodology: This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design. Respondents consisted of 120 patients diagnosed with chronic disease divided into two groups: intervention (receiving community care and home care for 12 weeks) and control (conventional care). Quality of life was measured using the WHOQOL-BREF instrument before and after the intervention. Results: Results showed a significant improvement in the physical, psychological, social, and environmental dimensions of quality of life in the intervention group compared to the control group (p < 0.05). The most contributing factors were active family involvement and ongoing education by community health workers. Conclusion: Community care and home care programs effectively improve the quality of life of chronic disease patients. This approach is feasible to develop as part of a long-term chronic disease management strategy, especially in areas with limited access to health facilities

Abstract

Introduction: The growing popularity of social media has positioned influencers as important agents in shaping adolescents’ attitudes, behaviors, and perceptions toward reproductive health topics. Adolescence is a critical developmental period when understanding and confidence regarding reproductive issues are often limited. This study aimed to analyze the influence of exposure to influencer-generated content on adolescents’ positive emotions and self-confidence in the context of reproductive health education. Methods: A quantitative quasi-experimental design was employed, involving 100 students, divided equally into intervention and control groups. Data collection instruments included the Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) to assess positive emotions and the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale to measure self-confidence. The intervention group received reproductive health education through influencer-created social media content, while the control group did not receive any exposure. Data were analyzed using the Paired Sample T-Test and the Independent T-Test. Results: The findings showed significant improvements in the intervention group across all variables: reproductive health knowledge (p=0.000), self-confidence (p=0.000), and positive emotions (p=0.000). In contrast, the control group exhibited no significant changes, indicating that influencer-based education effectively enhanced adolescents' cognitive and psychological aspects. Conclusion: Exposure to accurate, empathetic, relatable influencer content significantly improved adolescents’ emotional engagement and confidence. Therefore, collaboration among health educators, professionals, and social media influencers is recommended to develop credible, appealing, and youth-centered digital reproductive health communication strategies.

Abstract

Introduction: Primary health care (PHC) is recognized as the foundation of equitable and sustainable health systems. Nursing interventions are essential in translating PHC principles into effective practice. However, limited synthesized evidence exists on the effectiveness of nursing-led initiatives within PHC policy frameworks. This review aimed to evaluate the impact of nursing interventions on the implementation of PHC policies, with the hypothesis that structured nursing interventions enhance health outcomes, policy adherence, and community engagement. Methods: Following the PRISMA guidelines, a systematic search was conducted across PubMed, CINAHL, Scopus, and Cochrane Library for studies published between 2010 and 2025. Eligible studies included randomized controlled trials, quasi-experimental, and observational designs assessing nursing-led interventions in PHC settings. Two reviewers independently performed data extraction and quality appraisal. Due to methodological heterogeneity, a narrative synthesis was employed. Results: A total of studies demonstrated that nursing interventions such as health education, chronic disease management, maternal-child health support, and community empowerment significantly improved service accessibility, patient satisfaction, and adherence to PHC policy objectives. Moreover, community-based nursing initiatives strengthened preventive care delivery and promoted equity in service utilization. Conclusion: The findings confirm that nurses are pivotal in operationalizing PHC policies. Strengthening nursing capacity through training, policy integration, and resource allocation can accelerate progress toward universal health coverage. Further research is needed to establish standardized evaluation frameworks and measure long-term policy impacts of nursing interventions in PHC systems.

Abstract

Introduction: Dietary adherence remains a critical challenge for individuals with diabetes mellitus (DM), especially within community settings where lifestyle factors strongly influence disease control. Health education plays an crucil role in enhancing self-management behaviors and improving glycemic outcomes. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of structured health education on dietary adherence among people with DM in the community. Methods: A quasi-experimental pre–post design was conducted among 120 participants with type 2 DM in a community health program. Participants received four weekly sessions of health education focusing on nutrition knowledge, meal planning, and behavioral motivation, delivered through interactive workshops and visual aids. Data were collected using the Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ) and a 24-hour dietary recall, and analyzed using paired t-tests and multiple regression to assess changes in adherence and identify influencing factors. Results: Post-intervention findings showed a significant improvement in dietary adherence scores (p < 0.001) and a mean reduction in fasting blood glucose levels (p < 0.05). Education level, social support, and perceived self-efficacy were strong predictors of adherence improvement (R² = 0.48). Participants reported enhanced understanding of carbohydrate control and portion management. Conclusion: Community-based health education effectively improves dietary adherence and metabolic outcomes in people with DM. Integrating culturally relevant education and continuous community engagement is crucial to sustaining behavioral changes. This approach supports primary prevention efforts and strengthens community health systems in diabetes management
