Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) Conducting a research is one of the implementations of Three Pillars of Higher Education that has a crucial role for the development of science, technology, and arts as well as for the improvement of the welfare of society since the research results are directly implemented to the society/community. To spread more significant effect; not only for the society/community but also for more external parties; therefore, Universitas Internasional Batam hold a Conference on Management, Business, Innovation, Education and Social Sciences (CoMBInES) that is attended by lecturers and students from both domestic and overseas partners to disseminate their research works. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui bagaimana kinerja dari Pelayanan Publik Kantor Kecamatan Lubuk Baja Kota Batam pada saat terjadi Pandemi Covid-19. Serta apa saja hambatan dan upaya dalam pelayanan publik. Pelayanan suatu kegiatan dimana pelayanan tersebut membantu masyarakat dalam pembuatan seperti E-KTP dan KK. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian deskriptif yang dimana jenisnya Empiris dengan data yang dikumpulkan dengan observasi, wawancara dan dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kualitas pelayanan publik kecamatan Lubuk Baja Batam belum memenuhi keluhan dari masyarakat yang melapor kepada Pelayanan Publik Kecamatan Lubuk Baja Batam, baik dari segi pelayanan, fasilitas, dan daya permasalahan dari masyarakat tersebu

Painting is the activity of creating art using paint and canvas. According to qualitative method (Creswell, 2008) and correlational method, which is connecting the relations of the analysis results Batam is quite an advanced city and very close to the neighboring country, Singapore. However, there are not many places providing painting facilities in this small town. Planning painting studio by using high-rise buildings view from Singapore at Tanjung Pinggir Beach area will really support the mood of the artist or painter. The concept of 'paint' leads to the concept of 'Palette' and 'Paint drop' which are used as a reference for the main buildings of Paintinggir, Painting Studio and Recess Area. Paintinggir, a sustainable architectural design using pallete concept and paintdrop as a form of a development area, makes development with the purpose to provide tools, facilities and places for painters and connoiseurs of paintings.

Video is one of the developments in information technology that has a function as an introduction to information conveyed through audio-visual media. Ease of playing back videos, making videos as a medium that can improve and develop the ability to understand information presented in a structured manner such as learning English through video. One of the international communication standards is the ability to communicate in English. English language skills also play an important role in employment in the modern era like today. With research on developing English listening practice videos using voice dubbing techniques, this video can provide audiences with learning and practice about English. The method used for the development of this video is the MDLC method. The results of this study are expected to improve the audience's ability to speak English.

This paper aims to investigate the factors that influence consumers’ buying behaviour towards Malaysia’s traditional handicraft with the support of the Theory of Planned Behaviour. The variables considered in this study are consumers’ knowledge, subjective norms, perceived behavioural of control and product characteristics. Self-administered online survey questionnaires were distributed and collected from 233 respondents. Consumers’ knowledge, subjective norms and product characteristics have strong direct and positive effect on the purchase intention of Malaysia’s traditional handicraft. However, perceived behavioural of control was found to be not significant. The findings of the current study may assist the organizations and business owners as well as marketers to better understand the Malaysia's traditional handicraft and hopes to devise business strategies to encourage purchases among the local and foreign consumers. The outcome of this study demonstrates the variables that influence Malaysia's traditional handicraft purchase intentions.

This research is to analyze the factors that trigger the change of PAF. Audit opinion, audit delay, PAF scale are categories of audit characteristics and management changes, financial distress, company scale including company characteristics and managerial ownership as research factors. The final research summarizes that management exchanges, company scale, and audit delays have no effect on the change PAF. Audit opinion and managerial ownership have a negative effect on the change PAF, financial distress and the PAF scale have a positive effect on the change PAF. The company is facing financial problems and a big PAF will cause a change.

COVID-19 is a virus have developed into a global pandemic. This has resulted in millions of employees around the world currently working from home. Virtual Private Network (VPN) can be used to provide employees access to office data from home. This study analyzes the differences between L2TP/IPsec and SSTP VPN protocols to choose a VPN technology that is suitable for use according to user needs. This is done by building the VPN network in according to the device requirements, QoS, security, and scalability parameters using Network Development Life Cycle (NDLC) method. The results of this study indicate that both types of VPNs have their respective advantages and disadvantages in terms of performance, security and scalability. The results of this study are expected to provide an overview for users to consider the type of VPN that suits their needs.

PT Laut Mas merupakan salah satu perusahaan dengan bidang jasa shipping export import peti kemas di indonesia. PT Laut Mas telah memiliki sebuah sistem yang berbasis website, sistem berbasis website tersebut dapat mencatat segala aktivitas mengenai pengantaran container. Akan tetapi penginputan data yang diterima oleh karyawan admin melalui sistem ini selalu tidak tepat waktu. Berdasarkan dengan rumusan masalah tersebut, penulis memutuskan untuk merancang sebuat sistem tambahan berbasis android. Sistem tambahan ini memiliki fungsi atau fitur yang dapat menginput data secara langsung oleh sopir ekspedisi. Sistem ini dirancang dengan design yang cukup simple dan user friendly.

Tujuan penelitian ini guna mengetahui pengaruh brand equity dan country image terhadap purchase Intention pada kosmetik Korea di Batam. Sampel penelitian ini adalah masyarakat Batam yang menggunaan merek kosmetik Korea. Responden penelitian sebanyak 210 responden dengan teknik pengumpulan melalui kuesioner. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisa kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel independen brand loyalty, perceived quality, brand association, brand awareness berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap brand equity. Country image dan brand equity berpengaruh positif terhadap purchase intention. Penelitian selanjutnya disarankan bukan hanya di Batam agar memperoleh hasil yang lebih akurat pada hasil penelitiannya.

The COVID-19 pandemic has crippled and caused varying degrees of damage to most industries since early 2020. Many Chinese companies, particularly SMEs, are on the verge of bankruptcy due to their vulnerability when facing business losses. Employee stress has been increasing due to increased work and retrenchment stress. The stress on the employee has then reduced their motivation and engagement and thus affected their performance. Reviews of the pertinent literature show that there is a need to study the moderating effect of employee engagement on the relationship between customer value proposition and company performance, which is the purpose of this study. This study employs a structured questionnaire to collect data through an online survey method from targeted Chinese SMEs. From the collected data, 109 usable data have been analyzed using covariance-based SEM via SPSS and AMOS software. The findings of this study show that the customer value proposition has a significant positive effect on company performance and that employee engagement moderates the relationship between the customer value proposition and company performance in a positive manner, though marginally. The moderate effect of employee engagement on the relationship between the customer value proposition and company performance is contributing in the relevant literature. The results of this study suggest to industrial practitioners that they should focus not only on customers but also on the wellbeing of internal employees in order to grow their business.

Pelanggaran terhadap merek sering terjadi di tengah masyarakat, hal ini juga menjadi penyebab timbulnya korban akibat penggunaan merek tiruan. Kerugian tidak hanya akan dialami oleh konsumen melainkan juga produsen sebagai pemegang hak merek akan merasa sangat dirugikan atas kejahatan pelanggaran merk. Dalam tulisan ini penulis bertujuan untuk menganalisis bagaimana perlindungan merek dagang di Indonesia, bentuk pelanggaran merek dagang dan faktor yang menjadi penghambat dalam pelaksanaan perlindungan hukum terhadap penegakan merek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode yuridis sosiologis dengan bersumberkan dari data-data primer yaitu UU tentang Merek, dan data-data sekunder lainnya termasuk buku yang berkaitan dengan Hak Kekayaan Intelektual khususnya merek, artikel, jurnal dan lain sebagainya yang memiliki keterkaitan dengan permasalahan ini.
