Abstract

This community service program has the aim of increasing sales, reaching a wider sales market and adding insight to new consumers by using social media and the media is 59 second long and increase about 20 to 30 people on their instagram account. Partners in community service are Aftertaste CoffeShop, which is a shop engaged in the food and beverage sector, located at Komplek Kintamani Blok F no 7, Sungai Panas, Batam City. The method used in this activity is MDLC (multimedia development life cycle and implementation on social media. The implementation results show an increase in new marketing reach, an increase in turnover and an increase in new consumers.

Abstract

This research focuses on street kid, who spend their time engaged in daily activities or wandering the streets and public places due to financial constraints in their families. Batam City, in particular, has a significant number of street children involved in various activities such as busking, selling cigarettes or newspapers, and even car cleaning at red lights. It is essential for the Batam City government, especially the Batam City Social Service, to prioritize the welfare and development of these children. This study aims to examine the policy implementation of the street children development program in Batam City, identifying the obstacles hindering the effective execution of this program. The qualitative research method, including observation and interviews, was employed to gather data. The findings reveal two key policies implemented by the Batam City Social Service: control programs and socialization and skills training. However, several challenges exist in implementing these programs, such as the lack of shelter or resting places for street children. Through this research, a deeper understanding of the policy implementation process and the barriers faced in the development of street children in Batam City can be gained

Abstract

The strike of the COVID-19 pandemic has forced the closures of most higher learning institutions around the world. Subsequently, the process of teaching and learning was being carried out online almost fully and this situation had yielded many challenges to tertiary English educators including those in Malaysia. Among the challenges faced were related to their technological skills, students’ participation, facilities, internet connection, and conducting assessments online. Subsequently, various measures were also taken by them to overcome the challenges in ensuring the continuity of the process of teaching and learning during this unprecedented situation. Thus, a multiple case study was conducted to explore the measures taken by nine English educators from three public universities in Malaysia, in overcoming the challenges they encountered during online learning throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. The data was collected through focused group interview sessions and individual open-ended responses for triangulation purposes. Based on the thematic analysis conducted, the findings disclosed that to overcome the challenges, educators had to improve their technological skills, find ways to increase students’ participation and conduct better online assessments. This study is believed could anticipate significant insights and guidance in planning and executing a meaningful ESL online teaching and learning experience for relevant parties, including the English educators, higher learning institutions, and the Ministry of Education especially during ERTL.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan dalam pencatatan akuntansi pada UMKM Aritas Homesewing dimana permasalahan utamanya adalah tidak tersedianya obyek pendukung yang mampu menghasilkan pencatatan kuangan yang rapi. Kerja praktik ini dilakukan mengikuti alur SDLC dimulai dengan merumuskan masalah, menganalisa kebutuhan, merancang desain, mengembangkan proyek, menguji proyek, hingga akhirnya melakukan implementasi. Dasar dari sistem akuntansi ini berasal dari partner jurusan Akuntansi. Luaran yang ingin dicapai adalah laporan serta informasi keuangan. Hasil yang dituju adalah merancang dan mengembangkan sebuah sistem akuntansi yang user friendly dan sesuai dengan fungsinya. Sistem ini bertujuan untuk menunjang pengambilan keputusan pemilik usaha dalam rangka mengembangkan usahanya. This activity’s purpose is to solve accounting records problem in Aritas Homesewing SMEs where the main problem is absence of supporting object that is able to generate a neat financial record. Practical work activity was conveyed following SDLC flow starting with acquiring issues, resolving the requirement, mapping out design, developing project, testing the project, up to implementation. The groundwork of this accounting system originated from my partner who is majoring in Accounting. Output to be achieved is reports and financial information. The aimed result is to design and develop an accounting system that is user friendly and according to its function. This system is intended to bolster up SMEs owner decision-making in order to expand her business

Abstract

Most of the fire prevention system use smoke and heat sensors to detect the fire, leads to late action to stop the fire and cause a large damage. To avoid the problem, a fire prevention system that utilizes the RGB algorithm for early fire detection has been developed. By employing RGB algorithm and real-time monitoring, the system aims to enhance fire safety in various environments. The system consists of high-resolution cameras strategically placed in the monitored area. These cameras capture real-time video that are processed using the RGB algorithm. The algorithm analyses the video to identify patterns indicative of a fire outbreak, such as intense red and orange colours, and changes in brightness. Once a potential fire hazard is detected, the system triggers immediate alerts to relevant stakeholders through Telegram notifications, and audible alarms. To complement early detection, the system incorporates preventive measures such as automatic sprinkler systems, which can be activated manually or automatically. Overall, the fire prevention system leveraging the RGB algorithm offers early fire detection, real-time monitoring, and seamless integration with existing fire safety infrastructure. By combining these features, the system has the potential to significantly enhance fire safety in various environments, protecting lives and property.

Abstract

Ltd. itself is a capital partnership. The problems obtained in this research; Batam Indonesia Gemilang Ltd. needs a company profile video to provide any information to all consumers. There’s a purpose for this research, which is to help the business of Batam Indonesia Gemilang Ltd. in conducting promotions and providing all informations to the public, which is all about Batam Indonesia Gemilang Ltd. The research method used is Data Collection Techniques, this method contains stages such as observation, interviews, and literature study. Abstract

The utilization of information technology in everyday life has become a necessity for all of us. One example is the internet network or commonly called WiFi. This article describes the implementation of Job Training (KP) in a company engaged in the ISP ( Internet Service Provider ) in Batam City, named PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang. The design and implementation of the WiFi installation is necessary because consumers at PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang need an internet network for their needs. The author uses data collection methods in the form of observation and interviews. In the internet network installation stage, this research uses the PDDIE development method (Planning, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results of this activity are implemented and used by consumers of PT Cipta Informatika Cemerlang

Abstract

In this work practice, the author designed a company profile video that aims to introduce the company, its products, and services to the public. This research is related to PT HLS Batam which is engaged in the fishing industry and is domiciled in Batam. PT HLS Batam does not yet have a promotional media that helps the public to access the company and introduce its products and services. Therefore, we need a company profile video as a promotional media that can introduce PT HLS Batam and provide information about it. In this study using the method of observation, interviews, and literature study. In this case, the work practice that has been implemented will produce a company profile video, which contains a logo as a corporate identity, vision and mission of the company, company address, products to be offered to the public, and company telephone numbers that can be contacted. PT HLS Batam will implement and upload a company profile video to its YouTube account.

Abstract

Through the internet, all can be connected to each other. Internet can be used with various benefits, especially as a means to do business. One activity that can be used as an example is the fashion business. By utilizing internet technology which is integrated into the fashion business business system, hereinafter referred to as e-commerce is the activity of buying and selling goods or transmitting funds/data through electronic networks, especially the internet through websites. To establish a business system with e-commerce website integration that can be used effectively and efficiently, and can be improved from time to time. There is a need for the right method to build it, namely the Scrum method with the WDLC (Web Development Life Cycle) model. The result of this scientific project is the establishment of an effective and efficient fashion e-commerce website.

Abstract

Barbershop as a service or business that offers facilities to consumers or customers to meet ongoing primary needs. The increasing development of barbershops in Bengkong is a testament to the awareness of men in maintaining their appearance. With the barbershop business in Bengkong, it causes competition in the business, especially in Nagaya Pangkas Om Boy’s, increase and decrease in the number or customers is not stable every month so that it has an impact on income. The problem obtained in this research is that Nagaya Pangkas Om Boy's business needs a company profile video to provide information to consumers or customers. The purpose of this research is to help Nagaya Pangkas Om Boy's efforts to promote and provide information to the public about the business of Nagaya Pangkas Om Boy's barbershop. The research method used is Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) with the stages, namely concept, design, material gathering, assembly, testing, and distribution. The result of this research is a company profile video which is implemented into social media Youtube and Instagram.
