Abstract

Video as one of the developments in information technology that has the benefit of providing information and motivation for people to carry out an activity. One of the stages of human life is growing old as a senior, requiring activities aimed at developing his or her well-being. The method used to develop the video is Research and Development(R&D) and using Rowntree model. The contents of the video content are reading, caring for plants, playing chess and sports by seniors. The developed video has received a small group evaluation and a large group evaluation to get comments and suggestions regarding the necessary revisions. Based on user comments, the developed video has provided useful information regarding the activities of seniors

Abstract

Royale Laundry was established in 2015, the location of Royale Laundry is located in Komp. Nagoya point Blok H No 8, Batam. Royale Laundry is a shop engaged in laundry services. In the era of globalization and increasingly rapid technological advances encourage people to be more active in using the internet today, apart from sharing information, the internet is also used as a means of promoting a product or service so that it is easier for people to find the product or service they need and the owner of the product or service easier to market. its product or service. This activity aims to help Royale Laundry to the public to find out the services, laundry services at Royale Laundry and provide tangible results. Promoting Royale Laundry by creating a catalog, namely an E-catalog using Adobe Photoshop CC 2018 and publishing it on Instagram. Data collection methods used: observation and interviews, with the design process design, predesign, design, postdesign. Suggestions for Royale Laundry shop owners, are expected to be active in introduction and promotion using social media or the internet in various social media platforms.

Abstract

PT. Rofenni Prima Jaya is a company engaged in land construction services and heavy equipment rental business that has been operating since 1994. The company's problems are insufficient attendance time and lack of employee discipline every month, which can be measured by monthly attendance in the form of employee permits that are delayed resulting in a decrease in productivity and quality. To help the company, an employee performance appraisal system was created. The method used in system development is using the waterfall method and also developing the system using the Hypertext Preprocessor, JavaScript, JQuery, and Bootstrap CSS programming languages, as well as using phpMyAdmin. The results of the system will provide an assessment form by doing one click on the Check List Form button in each period, assessment results reports, and assessment results reports per period. With this assessment system, employees can maintain the performance of employees to achieve the goals that have been targeted, as well as identify deficiencies in carrying out responsibilities.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the related factors that influence the behavioral intention of customers in cafes in Batam city. This research was conducted on the grounds that the cafe trend is increasing day by day in the people of Batam city so that this research can be useful as a guideline regarding the factors that influence customer behavioral intention for related parties. The sample used in this study amounted to 385 respondents who are residents of the city of Batam, which were obtained through the distribution of online questionnaires on social media. Sampling was carried out by purposive sampling technique and data processing was carried out with the help of Smart PLS (Partial Least Square) 3 software. The results of the analysis of this study prove that the independent variables used such as food quality, service quality, and physical environment quality have a significant positive effect on the mediating variable, namely customer satisfaction and the dependent variable, namely behavioral intention. In addition, the mediating variable, namely customer satisfaction, has also been shown to have a significant positive effect on the dependent variable, namely behavioral intention.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the implementation of e-Procurement and the challenges faced, along with proposing effective solutions to overcome these obstacles concerning the implementation of Electronic Procurement Services (LPSE) in Batam City. By examining the practical aspects and identifying potential hindrances, this research contributes to the improvement of public service quality through the utilization of electronic procurement mechanisms. The provision of efficient and accurate public services is crucial for meeting the basic needs and civil rights of citizens, encompassing goods, services, and administrative assistance provided by public service providers. In the era of rapid information and globalization, it is essential to implement swift and precise public services to prevent social upheaval and potential national disintegration that could lead to division and harm to the nation and the state. The quality of public services often suffers due to a lack of transparency and accountability in their implementation. One of the government's endeavors to address this issue is the application of good governance principles, aiming to deliver excellent services to the community. E-Procurement, the procurement of goods and services through information technology and electronic transactions, has been introduced as a means to enhance efficiency and transparency in accordance with legal provisions. To facilitate this, an electronic unit responsible for goods and services procurement, known as the Electronic Goods and Services Procurement Service (LPSE), has been established within Ministries, Institutions, and Regional Authorities. This research adopts a sociological juridical approach, combining direct field observation with extensive literature research. Primary data is gathered through field observations and interviews conducted at the Batam City Government (PEMKO), while secondary data is obtained through comprehensive analysis of primary, secondary, and tertiary legal resources. The collected data is analyzed descriptively using qualitative analysis techniques.

Abstract

The road has been used in many different loading types, affecting their performance. The increase in traffic of the vehicles is the main factor causing road damage, and including the problems of increasing environmental pollution causing to involves us thinking about improving the pavement characteristic and quality of the road pavement by using polymer modification materials that satisfy both the strength and economic aspects. Thus, this study aims to find the best combination of bitumen and plastic for long-term performance by comparing the stability of conventional and modified bituminous concrete. This study investigates the behavior of bituminous concrete mixed with bottle caps as recycled plastic waste in two processes the wet and dry processes. The various percentage of recycle plastic waste of 2%,4%,6%,8%,10% and 3%,4%,5%,6%,7%,8% were used in dry process and wet process, respectively. Marshall test properties such as stability, flow value, air void, etc., are used to determine the optimum recycling of plastic waste content. The result indicated improvement of the modified binder of the wet process's engineering properties and increases the mechanical properties of the bituminous concrete. The 8% of the recycled plastic content showed the maximum marshall stability of the wet process and optimum value for the dry process. The recommended method for use in toad construction is the dry process. It improves the base bitumen and stability, which resistance to deformation, rutting, and shear stress.

Abstract

CV Chalista Engineering Batam is a business producing tools to hold goods or hardware in the production process located at Ruko Tembesi Point, Batu Aji District, Batam. This company has a problem with paper-based financial records and manual reporting using excel. So the company needs a system that can record and generate reports. The method used in the design and development is the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) method by conducting needs analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation. The results of this study are a web-based financial reporting and recording system for CV Chalista Engineering Batam. With this system, the financial recording process will be easier, more effective and minimize the occurrence of data errors.

Abstract

Security is one of the main concerns to people who resides in a house as there is a lot of cases such as robbery. Thus, the safety of people is the utmost importance. However, people still use the traditional door lock to secure their home. Therefore, this paper presents the idea of using Face Recognition and Telegram application as part of the smart features to enhance the home security. Face Recognition methods that will be used are Local Binary Pattern Histogram (LBPH) which act as feature extraction under local appearance-based techniques and Haar Cascade as a classifier. Besides, the usage of Telegram application will also be utilised. As the output, the Face Recognition technology is being used to grant authorized user access to the house and the Telegram application is being used to remotely control the door lock without any keys. In conclusion, by implementing those advanced technologies it will strengthen the security of the home as well as the wellbeing of the people.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is a significant effect of work overload, perceived organizational support, interpersonal conflict and organizational commitment on organizational citizenship behavior at Honda Ahass. This study used 100 respondents from Honda Ahass employees using the saturated sampling formula method, namely only employee respondents in the 3 companies that I selected were respondents in this study. This study uses the SPSS version 26.0 program for analysis of respondents' demographic data and then continues with testing using the SmartPLS version 3.0 program for analysis of the relationship between variables. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, the data shows that interpersonal conflict, perceived organizational support has no significant effect on organizational commitment and organizational citizenship behavior, work overload has a significant effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Based on the results of this study, in increasing perceived organizational support for organizational citizenship behavior, the Honda Ahass employees are suggested to be able to increase organizational commitment first through the creation of perceived organizational support and organizational citizenship behavior

Abstract

Limited resources, especially human resources in MSMEs, making business owners have to do accounting records manually which will have an impact on inaccuracy in decision making. Therefore, in this research, the author will design and develop an accounting record system for Salon Fas. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, which consists of stages of analysis, design, development, testing, and maintenance. The result of this research is a website-based accounting record system that can manage the accounting needs of Salon Fas. With this system, hopefully that Salon Fas' accounting records will become more easier, accurate, and efficient
