Abstract

Nowadays, the rapid development of the internet has greatly affected many people’s life especially towards the franchise industry in Indonesia. Food and beverage industry is one of the industry which has an intense business competition, especially in this case is boba drink. The purpose of this study is to test a framework for the significant effect between Perceive Information, Trust, Social Media Marketing, and Brand Image towards behavioral intention with trust and brand image as the intervening variables in Boba Drink in Batam city. The respondents in this study are the customer who has previously purchased one of the Boba Drink in Batam city. The sample's criterion used in this study is non-probability with the judgemental sampling method. A total of 292 questionnaires were returned and the data were analyzed using PLS SEM (Structural Equation Modeling). The findings reported in this research demonstrate that Perceive Information, Trust, Social Media Marketing, and Brand Image have a significant effect on behavioral intention with trust dan brand image as the intervening variables.

Abstract

The research aims to explore and understand the key factors that contribute to a positive organizational culture, including leadership style, communication practices, recognition and rewards systems, and opportunities for growth and development. A strong and supportive culture promotes employee engagement, teamwork, innovation, and a sense of belonging, which in turn enhances individual and collective performance. Conversely, a negative or toxic culture can undermine motivation, collaboration, and overall productivity. The research reveals key factors that contribute to a positive organizational culture, including leadership style, communication practices, recognition and rewards systems, and opportunities for growth and development. Recommendations are provided for government agencies and policymakers to foster a healthy and empowering organizational culture that nurtures and motivates civil servants to perform at their best. The findings emphasize the importance of robust institutional frameworks in achieving government effectiveness. A well-functioning legislature, in collaboration with other institutions, is vital for crafting policies that address societal needs and enhance public services. Furthermore, effective governance requires the government to tackle significant challenges in a comprehensive and cooperative manner, engaging both internal and external stakeholders.

Abstract

Basic wind speed is a very essential parameter used for conversion into wind loads on building structures. In Cambodia, the information of basic wind speed remains uncertain due to insufficient fundamental studies on the wind characteristics associated with regional climate. The aim of this paper is to predict the basic wind speed in Battambang, a northwest province of Cambodia using statistical and probabilistic approaches. The datasets have been collected from Mekong River Commission data portal in forms of hourly wind speed, and were then statically converted to 3-second gusts speed using Gaussian distribution transformation. The extreme value distributions such as Gumbel and Gringorten were used to analyze the extreme speed in accordance with a return period. The results showed that with a return period of 50 and 700 years, the basic wind speed was found to be 31.3 m/s, 41.1 m/s by Gumbel and 28.4 m/s, 36.1 m/s by Gringorten, respectively. These results provided a new look over traditionally uncertain basic wind speed selection and can be an alternative for estimation of wind loads for the design of building structures in Battambang.

Abstract

Faedah Shop is an online shop that sells unique gifts such as Mosaic Photos, Photo Boxes, Polaroid Frames and Stickers located in the city of Batam. This online shop focuses on unique gifts. However, until now, Faedah Shop does not have a promotional media that can provide information and introduce Faedah Shop to the general public and potential buyers of Faedah Shop. Therefore, we need a promotional media in the form of a video profile that can contain information and advantages of Faedah Shop. The methods used include interviewing the owner of the Faedah Shop, direct observation, and literature study. The results of this study will be implemented on Faedah Shop's social media, namely YouTube with the aim of the video profile being able to increase the interest of new prospective buyers to buy at Faedah Shop and be useful as a medium of information for the general public.

Abstract

Manual library management requires a higher workforce for librarians and causes discrepancies during data encoding. The transaction history is too numerous and needs to be stored over a long period of time, requiring a lot of files for storage. With the advent of digital technology and the increasing complexity of library functions, traditional manual systems have become inefficient and time-consuming. In this work, an automated Library Management System (LMS) was developed specifically for education such as universities or colleges where users are students and admin to simplify the management of library resources, enhance accessibility, and improve overall efficiency. The system provides a user-friendly interface that enables librarians to quickly and accurately add, search, and update bibliographic information, ensuring a well-organized and easily searchable library collection. Also, it provides alternative methods for students to perform the borrowing process and check the current book availability at library through the system. The system also supports a range of user services, including patron registration, tracking borrowing history, and managing fines and penalties. The methodology used for this system is the Waterfall model, from the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Overall, the LMS offers a comprehensive and efficient solution to address the challenges faced by modern libraries.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk melihat pengaruh literasi keuangan, terlalu percaya diri, bias penghindaran penyesalan, dan toleransi risiko terhadap keputusan investasi saham pada anak muda di Kota Batam. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 104 responden yang merupakan anak muda yang mempunyai investasi dalam bentuk saham. Data diperolah menggunakan data primer yaitu kuesioner yang disebar melalui google form. Teknik Sampling yakni convenience sampling. Data yang terkumpul diolah dengan regresi linear berganda. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan literasi keuangan dan terlalu percaya diri berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap keputusan investasi saham pada anak muda di Kota Batam. Sedangkan variabel bias penghindaran penyesalan dan toleransi risiko tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan investasi saham.

Abstract

Abstract

Batam City is a zone of territory that is surrounded by the ocean so it is called an archipelago. And also surrounded by Singapore and Malaysia. Making the city of Batam a strategic position. And because Batam city is an archipelago, Making Batam City rich in culinary tourism especially on seafood. Batam City is also known as paradise for seafood lovers because Batam City has a very large and rich supply of seafood. Seafood is a food that produces a source of animal protein and omega 3 which is beneficial for our health. Therefore, culinary tourism especially seafood restaurants is a promising business in Batam City. Seeing the prospect and high demand for seafood, The seafood restaurant business is also growing and increase in Batam City. This research aims to analyze the effect of Promotion Strategy, Price, Advertising, Quality Service, Customer Trust, on Purchase Decision with mediation of Product Quality in Batam City. This research was conducted by distributing questionnaires by google form and the total of the samples used in this study were 400 respondents. This study was analyzed using smart PLS version 3.

Abstract

The purpose of this practical work is to help OMA Tour & Travel in promoting several tourist destinations in Batam City to potential customers by using the website as a promotional medium. This website contains a collection of information about tourist attractions such as place descriptions, available facilities, entrance ticket prices, operational times, as well as addresses and locations of tourist attractions. In the design process, the author will use Wordpress as a platform to design the website. Data collection methods used in this activity are observation and interviews. The result of the implementation is a website that is implemented through hosting services in the hope of increasing sales, as well as expanding the marketing reach of OMA Tour & Travel
