Abstract

This study aims at understanding how the municipal government of Batam addresses human trafficking and its issues during the COVID-19 pandemic. This research utilizes a qualitative methodology and a descriptive approach to examine how local governments are responding to the mounting number of human trafficking cases, especially those that involve women and children. The Riau Islands Regional Police statistics indicates that there were seven suspects in the TIP case in 2017, seventeen suspects in 2018, six suspects in 2019, and eighteen suspects in 2020. Comparatively, based on the number of cases, there were four cases in 2017, twelve cases in 2018, four cases in 2019, and ten cases in 2020. That which occurs continuously till the lockwodn. The results of the study indicate that: (a) The economic downturn, lack of education, lack of information, and socio-cultural conditions are factors that influence the increase in human trafficking during the pandemic; (b) Weak law enforcement and (c) a lack of cross-sectoral cooperation are the most significant factors that contribute to the escalation of human trafficking in Batam.

Abstract

PT Ferwindo Karya Pratama is a company which has been operating for almost 3 years and enganged in procuring and supplying all kind of need for local industries. One of the significant obstacles experienced by PT Ferwindo Karya Pratama since its official establishment was that there was no company profile and online ordering system that could simultaneously function as promotional media and product ordering media automatically. In addition to making it easier for clients and prospective clients to get the latest and complete information, this system also makes it easier for ordering from anywhere and anytime online. This study uses the System Development Life Cycle system development methodology with the Waterfall model. The final result of this study is the web-based company profile with ordering feature and integrated with an admin page to manage web content. This research is implemented with the hope that the system can become a media promotion for the company so that people can easily access actual information about the company and place an order, so as to increase the sales of PT Ferwindo Karya Pratama

Abstract

Chronic respiratory symptoms such as long-lasting cough, wheezing, shortness of breath, and chest pain are symptoms of respiratory problems mainly developed due to occupational exposures. Occupational disease is primarily produced by the air of the factories polluted by poisonous gases, fumes and dust emanating from the manufacturing processes. An unhealthy environment will affect the worker's productivity, leading to low productivity in the workplace. In this work, we have developed a monitoring system to monitor air pollution in a workspace. The developed system is designed with a smart alert system that can help workspace management to receive a notification when the workspace is in bad air pollution conditions. The system is developed using the Rapid Application Development model by considering three-layer Internet-of-Things Architecture. The system is equipped with sensors and Arduino in the device layer, Wi-Fi in the network layer, and a cloud platform in the application layer. The developed prototype is verified through functional tests, gas detection and cloud integration.

Abstract

Rape is a crime that cannot be forgiven, because it causes mental and psychological damage to the victim and robs the future of the victim, for this reason there is a need for legal protection given to rape victims and rape victims who perform abortions. The form of protection can be in the form of restitution, compensation and psychological assistance given to the victim and also the protection provided by the health law related to the rules that allow rape victims to perform abortions on the baby they are carrying. This article uses a normative juridical research method with a statutory approach which is certainly very relevant to the theme that will be studied. Therefore, it is necessary to protect the victims of rape in order to exercise human rights against the victims and to give appropriate punishments to the perpetrators

Abstract

Asset management is the act of calculating the number of assets going in and out per day according to customer requests. The flow of asset management must be recorded perfectly to create effectiveness and efficiency; therefore, a company must have a capable flow recording system. Using the RAD method to focus more on development stage, this project aims to design a website-based application to save time and increasing accuracy in calculating the amount of stock going in and out. By using Django, React and PostgreSQL, the author succeeded in designing a website-based in-out stock recording application to assist the stock calculation process at PT Greentech Globalindo. And thus, the company need not rely on manual reports and therefore accelerate up the inventory process, while getting some new features such as reporting and dashboard

Abstract

Establishing a large and new company has many obstacles and many business plans that must be faced in the future from all of that the company aims to seek profits and profits for the company as well as a source of employment for the local community, but from all of that the company must prioritize aspects of valuable employees Therefore, companies are required to provide training or at least provide information that is useful and easy to digest by employees who dedicate their lives in the office or in the field, to maximize information for employees, a Motion Graphic-based information media will be designed. This design uses applied research methods. The final result of designing a Motion Graphic video will be implemented in digital media and social media such as Instagram and websites.

Abstract

Practical work is a compulsory subject taken by students. Practical work carried out by the author aims to analyze the time schedule in the initial plan for the Batam green house development project. Practical work carried out by the author starts from October 25, 2021 until January 25, 2022. In collecting practical work data, the author uses observation methods and instruments. The author collects work data directly from the project field, so that the results of the analysis can be used to compare the initial plan and the realization time of the time schedule in the field. This aims to find out whether there is a delay in the project. After doing practical work, the final result obtained by the author is a delay in the time schedule from the original plan. The project was delayed by five weeks. One of the factors causing delays is the weather.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine whether there are significant effect of brand identity, brand image, brand interaction, brand personality and customer satisfaction on repurchase intention of local brand cosmetics in Batam City. This study used 279 respondents using purposive sampling method, only respondents who had bought local brand cosmetics in Batam City were the respondents in this study This study used SPSS version 26.0 program for analysis of respondents' demographic data and then continued with testing using the SmartPLS version 3.0 program for analysis of the relationship between variables. Based on the results of hypothesis testing, data showed that brand image, brand interaction, and brand personality have significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. Meanwhile, brand identity has no significant positive effect on customer satisfaction. In addition, customer satisfaction has been shown to have a significant positive effect on repurchase intention. Based on the results of this study, in increasing repurchase intention for local brand cosmetics, it is recommended that local brand cosmetics business people be able to increase customer satisfaction first through the creation of a good brand image, brand interaction, and brand personality

Abstract

Bengkulu is a city located on the island of Sumatra which has a variety of tribes, cultures and languages ​​in it. Bengkulu itself has a charm of beauty that spoils the eyes, especially in the field of tourism. There are many beautiful tourist destinations in the city of Bengkulu, but due to the lack of exploration of these destinations, the city of Bengkulu looks like a quiet city without any recreation areas for refreshing during the holidays. With these problems, there must be an innovation in the field of media and publications to help create a promotional media in the form of promotional videos about tourism in the city of Bengkulu. Which later will be implemented into a youtube platform. This study uses the ADDIE method (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The results obtained after this promotional video was successfully designed, the author hopes to be a reference or encouragement to the tourism office and also the Bengkulu city government to introduce more tourism in the city of Bengkulu

Abstract

MSMEs or commonly known as micro, small and medium enterprises play an important role in the country’s economic growth. But there are still many MSMEs doing their business record manually. This community service (PkM) exist to provide support to one of the MSMEs, PT. Ashmi Sinar Dynamata in recording its business processes. By the use of waterfall method in form of define requirements, design, build, testing to implementation to assist the system creation process. The result of this research is a web-based accounting record system. The recording of business processes in this MSMEs will be a lot faster and more accurate with this system.
