Abstract

Basically, every child is born with a good character. They are a mandate from God who is blessed with extraordinary potential. This is what is then called human nature. Human nature believes that every child has the potential or uniqueness of each that deserves to be developed. A good educational institution should organize learning based on human nature because every child is born with a nature. One example of providing education based on human nature is the education in Tomoe Gakuen in the novel Totto-chan: The Little Girl in the Window by Tetsuko Kuroyanagi. In this study, the author tries to describe the dimensions of human nature implied in the novel. The research method used is literature study because it uses novel book media as the main object of research. The data was collected using a documentation technique, where the author reads the contents of the novel as a primary data source as a whole and records data relevant to the object of research. The author also reads and records data obtained from books or other similar studies as secondary data sources so that detailed data results are obtained. The data analysis technique in this study uses Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutic theory and has three main steps, namely the symbolic step, the step of giving meaning to the symbol, and the step of philosophical thinking. The results of this study indicate that the dimensions of human nature in the novel are reflected in humanist education, flexible and independent learning, and focus on children's potential.

Abstract

God sent down revelation as a means of guiding the life of mankind. Revelation is gathered in the form of religion that provides harmony in human life. This research is a research with qualitative methods and uses a descriptive approach. This research uses relevant books and articles in collecting data so that this research is a literature research with references to articles of various relevant journals as a primary data source. Anthropology is a term that is no less interesting in the world of research. The word derived from the Greek anthropos means man and logos which means science. So, it can literally be argued that anthology is a science that studies humans. Religion has an existence that is never detached from the social reality that surrounds it. Religion is a cultural phenomenon, in which the religious practices that arise in a society are the result of understanding the doctrine of the teachings of the religion itself. As a scientific discipline, the anthropological approach has characteristics. Among the characteristics in the modern anthropological approach is holism, that is, the view that social practices should be researched in context and essentially seen as related practices in those societies. The area of anthropology is limited only to the study of emerging phenomena. The study or study of religion with an anthropological approach seeks to study about humans and society related to religion and culture that develops in that society. In other words, religious anthropology examines the relationship between man and supernatural power, human thought, attitudes and behavior in relation to unreal power.

Abstract

Humans as social beings (zoon politicon) in everyday life cannot be separated from religious and cultural elements, because the nature of humans is religious beings (homo religious). In addition, humans are also born as cultured human beings, but in the process of running a life, of course, problems will arise that arise in religion and culture, so an interfaith and cultural counseling process is needed. This research applies a qualitative approach using descriptive methods. The result of this scientific work is that religion and culture can influence each other. Religion influences cultural systems as well as the practices of life. On the contrary, culture can also influence religion. The behavior of Indonesian society is very diverse in implementing religious and cultural values in everyday life. Religion is a cultural system consisting of values that unite society and provide identity for the individual. In this case, religion through ceremonies imposes values on each individual and forms organic solidarity. They always seek to divide and refer in various ways to conflict in religious life. If we do not have the power of belief and faith, it will be easily influenced so that problems arise in ourselves and with others and can even spread to the community. This is the challenge for counselors in helping to overcome various kinds of problems experienced by individuals and groups. Culture has elements that include patterns of behavior, ideas and values, including religious values. Therefore, counselors should place their clients' religious values in a cross-cultural perspective. This means that in the process of counseling he must know some information about the life of the client. Information about certain religious values, as it is an important part of the counselor's preparation to understand the client's self in the counseling process.
