Abstract

This study aims to analyze the power struggle in George Orwell's novel Animal Farm. The author describes the novel Animal Farm using the historical hermeneutic approach of Wilhelm Dilthey and Roland Barthes' semiotic interpretive method. Research data comes from conflicts between animals and humans and between animals on farms. The data analyzed was taken from reading the novel Animal Farm repeatedly and understanding every element in the story. The author then divides the power struggle based on the tyranny that carries out slavery on the farms. Among them is the propaganda by pigs to rebel against all animals against humans. Animal propaganda is not to imitate and torment humans—and pig animal propaganda is to control the farm personally. The results showed that the power struggle in the form of propaganda and violence was influenced by the difference in ideology to exercise power on the farm. And the conclusion of this study is that George Orwell, through his work, is conducting propaganda and criticizing the ideology of power.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the potential of Securities crowdfunding technology as an alternative financing for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia. This research analyses the mechanism of Securities crowdfunding technology and its implications for the growth and sustainability of MSMEs amidst the dynamics of the Indonesian economy. Through a deeper understanding of the potential benefits and obstacles that may arise, it is belived that this research can provide a comprehensive view of the role of Securities crowdfunding technology in overcoming the financing obstacles often faced by MSMEs, as well as identifying the factors that influence the acceptance and success of this financing model in the Indonesian market.

Abstract

This study is aimed to identify the people’s views on language and their identities in Br. Pengukuh. This study used the quantitative method to interview and know the data that was obtained also, deliver a clear and brief description of the data. In the data collection, researcher combining between sharing the form and doing an interview to locals in Br. Pengukuh. These things are examined using Hickey (2010) theory to analyze the cultural aspect in language to identify a person identity. The subject of this research is language as the identity of a person in Br. Pengukuh. The result of this study showed that the majority of the locals from Br. Pengukuh can speak more than one language. 52% of the respondents are speakable foreign languages and the remaining 48% are able to speak Indonesian and local languages.

Abstract

This study discusses the public service process, which is an interaction relationship between two elements, namely the government and the public. The problem formulated is the scarcity of resources and budget limitations in the implementation of public services. The research methods used in this research are observation and interviews. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of the performance of the Natuna Regency Population and Civil Registration Service. The research location is at the Population and Civil Registration Service in Natuna Regency. The results of the research show that it takes quite a long time to search for incoming mail, outgoing mail and official mail as well as storing mail documents on shelves which can cause the mail to be lost or easily damaged. Therefore, human resource development is carried out by providing employees with special training in the application of information systems in the process of completing work in the office, such as the work of archiving incoming and outgoing letters. Communities who can work together and understand every service process will ensure that there are no delays or other problems with the Natuna Regency Dukcapil Service System. Natuna Regency has made innovations to get better services.

Abstract

This study is aimed to find out the conflict that found in the Kung Fu Panda 1 movie, and to analyze the moral values of being that found in the Kung Fu Panda 1 movie. This movie narrates about a fat panda who has a solid desire about being the greatest warrior. The descriptive qualitative method was used in this research to elaborate the conflict in this movie also, deliver a clear and brief description of the moral values of being. In the data collection, researcher combining between watching and recording techniques. These things are examined using DiYanni (2000) theory to analyze the conflict, and while, Linda and Eyre (1993) to identify the moral values of being in the movie. The subject of this research is the movie entitled Kung Fu Panda 1 by Ethan Reiff and Cyrus Voris. The result of this study showed that are three types of conflict that found in the Kung Fu Panda 1 movie, namely between character and themselves, between character and the other characters, and between character and society. Furthermore, there are five types of moral values of being, namely honesty, courage, peaceability, self-reliance and potential, and self-discipline and moderation.

Abstract

One of the obstacles that occurs in village government is the lack of control over village funds obtained from the Village Fund Allocation. This research aims to determine the effect of transparency and accountability in village financial management on changes in village assets. Researchers conducted research in Sumurgayam Village, Paciran District, Lamongan Regency. The method in this research uses quantitative descriptive methods. The population in this research is the people of Sumurgayam Village. The results show that the Transparency Variable and Accountability Variable both influence each other's village assets.

Abstract

In this study, language style was examined as it is used in the film "Keeping Mum," which illustrates how language style is employed in society. The varieties of language styles employed in the film "Keeping Mum" and the factors influencing the choice of language style in the "Keeping Mum" movie are the two issues that need to be resolved in the study. The theoretical foundation of this study is based on Joos (1967), who identified five different language styles: the frozen style, the formal style, the consultative style, the casual style, the intimate style, and according to Holmes (1992) The participant, setting, topic, and function are the four criteria used to select linguistic variety. The study's finding that there are 20 data points on the different language styles and elaborate factors influencing the choice of language style that been used in “Keeping Mum” movie and intimate style is the mostly language style used by the characters with percentage is about 40%.

Abstract

The Beatitudes are a moral teaching in the Catholic faith which is actually a teaching about the theological virtues that must be lived in the life of Christians, namely faith, hope and love. One of the points in the Beatitudes is "Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God". This is an inspiration for Christians to manage life here and now, in a direction towards the desired final happiness, namely seeing the face of God in eternal life. This research aims to explore the theological meaning contained in one of the main points of the Beatitudes spoken by Jesus. The method used is library research with a descriptive analysis approach. The results obtained are a picture of Christians who live the three theological virtues, namely faith, hope and love. By consistently and consistently living these three virtues in life, a pure heart is formed, so that the Christian man can see God or experience God.

Abstract

Christian believers are at the same time members of the Church and citizens of the State. In the context of national and state life, the socio-political role of Christian believers is seen as participation in the struggle to realize national ideals, namely the bonum commune for all citizens or in the terminology of the Pancasila principle, the fifth principle, social justice for all Indonesian people. In facing the democratic party in the political year 2024, this social and political role is increasingly being emphasized because political phenomena show a degradation of ethical values ​​in politics. Using literature research methods based on political philosophical discourse and theological reflections on the holy books, this national political phenomenon is analyzed by putting forward ideal ideas that inspire Christian believers to play an active role in efforts to realize the bonum commune. The results of this analysis show that the social and political role of Christian believers is very important to realize as an apostolic calling and mission as inspired by Paul in the Letter to Romans 1:2-7.

Abstract

 PT Bintang Suryasindo, a company focusing on the distribution of consumer products, caters to a diverse customer base, including outlets spread across various regions. One crucial aspect of company operations is the management of receivables originating from these outlets. To facilitate its business operations, PT Bintang Suryasindo provides credit or receivable facilities to outlets. However, in its implementation, customer outlets often struggle to recall or monitor the receivable payment deadlines they must meet. Therefore, an effective solution is required to provide timely notifications to outlets. One viable solution is to develop an application capable of sending receivable notifications directly to outlets. The application, built using the Waterfall method, incorporates features such as employee task schedules, settled outlets, and overdue outlets. The results of testing for all 18 test cases were successful and aligned with the testers' expectations. This indicates that the application is ready for implementation.
