Abstract

The role of youth in village development is becoming increasingly important in the digital era, particularly in promoting local potential, social activities, and creative economic initiatives. One of the main challenges faced by youth organizations such as Karang Taruna is the limited ability to produce engaging digital content and graphic designs, despite the great potential of social media as a means of promotion and communication. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to enhance the capacity of Karang Taruna members in creating creative content and graphic design using simple and accessible digital applications. The program was carried out in several stages: identifying participants’ needs, developing training modules, conducting in-person training sessions, and providing post-training assistance. The training materials included the basics of graphic design, understanding visual elements (color, typography, layout), simple photography and videography techniques using smartphones, and the use of design applications such as Canva, CapCut, and Pixellab. Participants also practiced creating social media content to promote village activities, local MSMEs, and social campaigns managed by Karang Taruna. The results show a significant improvement in participants' skills in designing posters, Instagram feeds, and short videos for publication purposes. Some of the participants' works have been uploaded to Karang Taruna’s official social media accounts and received positive responses from the community. This program not only enhanced technical skills but also fostered confidence, creativity, and a spirit of collaboration among members. It makes a tangible contribution to empowering village youth through digital literacy and creative media. Moving forward, this training can be developed into a sustainable program to strengthen the village’s digital identity and promote local potential through community-based efforts.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve digital literacy by educating the public about cybersecurity and personal data protection. In today’s digital era, the public is increasingly exposed to cybercrime risks, while awareness and understanding of digital safety remain low, especially among active internet users such as MSME actors, students, and housewives. The program was designed using a participatory-educative approach, including stages such as partner needs assessment, preparation of educational materials, interactive training, mentoring, and evaluation. The results indicated a significant improvement in participants' knowledge regarding basic cybersecurity practices, such as password management, phishing identification, and privacy settings. Tangible outputs include a training module, educational infographics, and short videos that can be reused by the community. Furthermore, the program successfully formed digital literacy agents from active participants to continue promoting cybersecurity awareness in their surroundings. The conclusion shows that community-based education effectively enhances cybersecurity awareness and provides measurable impact. Future recommendations include program replication, cross-sectoral collaboration, and development of online educational platforms for communities..

Abstract

The development of information and communication technology has brought significant impacts on society, particularly in terms of access to information, communication, and online learning. However, this progress also comes with various challenges, especially concerning digital security, the spread of hoaxes, and the low level of digital literacy among students and the general public. The lack of ability to distinguish between valid and invalid information, as well as limited awareness of online ethics and safety, has become an urgent issue that must be addressed through proper education. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to improve digital literacy through training on internet safety and anti-hoax education for students and the local community in the partner area. The method used involves a participatory educational approach through seminars, interactive discussions, case studies, and simulations of information source verification. The training materials cover recognizing hoaxes and disinformation, using credible information sources, maintaining digital privacy, and practicing ethical communication on social media. The results of the program showed a significant increase in participants’ knowledge regarding hoax characteristics, fact-checking techniques, and the importance of maintaining a responsible digital footprint. Participants also became more critical in consuming information and demonstrated behavioral changes in using the internet safely and responsibly. This training not only enhances individual capacity but also strengthens social resilience in facing the flow of information in the digital era. This program is expected to serve as a sustainable effort in fostering a culture of healthy and wise digital literacy, and it can be replicated in schools and other communities to broaden its impact.

Abstract

Improving the competitiveness of local products in the digital era requires micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to be able to utilize information technology in their marketing processes. However, many local business actors still rely on conventional promotional methods and have not yet optimized the use of digital media. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to assist partner MSMEs in increasing their product visibility through website creation and social media management as promotional tools. The program was carried out in several stages: identifying partner needs, training in the creation and management of websites using WordPress, training in content design and marketing strategies via social media (Instagram, Facebook, and WhatsApp Business), and mentoring in content creation and account management. During the program, partners were equipped with basic skills to build a simple online store website, copywriting techniques, product photography using smartphones, and the use of free design tools such as Canva. The results of the activity show that partners who previously had no online presence now have active websites displaying product catalogs, business profiles, and contact information. In addition, the partners’ social media accounts became more active and strategically managed, featuring consistent and engaging promotional content. This activity also increased partners’ understanding of the importance of digital identity and content-based marketing strategies. The PKM provided direct impact in the form of increased consumer trust in local brands, enhanced sales potential, and better preparedness of MSMEs to compete in the digital market. Moving forward, this training can be replicated in various local business communities as part of a technology-based community economic empowerment effort.

Abstract

Strengthening the research capacity of university lecturers is a crucial aspect of improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. One relevant skill to support research development and scientific publication is the ability to conduct bibliometric analysis. This analysis is useful for mapping research trends, identifying scientific collaborations, and determining potential research topics through the study of references and citations. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to provide training in bibliometric analysis using the software tools VOSviewer and Publish or Perish for lecturers affiliated with Kopertip Indonesia (Coordinator of Indonesian Private Universities). The training was conducted both online and offline, using a combination of theoretical and practical approaches. The materials covered included basic bibliometric concepts, methods for accessing scholarly publication data (e.g., from Google Scholar and Scopus), and hands on practice using Publish or Perish to extract bibliometric data and VOSviewer to visualize the analysis results in the form of term maps and author collaboration networks. The training was also complemented by case studies from various fields of science. Evaluation results indicated that the training improved participants’ understanding and skills in using both tools. Participating lecturers reported increased confidence in mapping research topics, selecting relevant journals, and planning more targeted publication strategies. This activity not only enhanced digital research competencies but also encouraged lecturers to be more productive in contributing to national and international scientific outputs. In the future, this type of training can be replicated across other higher education environments as part of efforts to strengthen a data-driven academic ecosystem.

Abstract

Administrative services at the neighborhood level (Rukun Tetangga/RT) are an essential component in supporting good governance within communities. However, in practice, these services are still frequently managed manually, leading to various issues such as service delays, data entry errors, and inefficiencies in documentation. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to design and implement a web-based neighborhood administrative information system to assist RT administrators in delivering faster, more accurate, and transparent services to residents. The implementation methods include needs assessment, system design, software development, as well as training and technical assistance for both administrators and residents. The system is developed using web-based technologies (PHP, MySQL, and HTML/CSS), allowing access via computers or smartphones. Key features of the system include resident data management, automated issuance and printing of official letters, archive management, and financial and activity reporting. The implementation results indicate a significant improvement in the efficiency of RT administrative services. RT administrators are no longer burdened with manual record-keeping, and residents can access services independently from their homes. Moreover, the system supports administrative transparency, as all activities are digitally recorded and easily traceable. This program has a positive impact on digital literacy among residents and strengthens the integration of information technology with public services at the micro community level. In the future, the system is expected to be replicated in other RTs as a community-based digital transformation solution.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on household economic stability in Indonesia. Many families have experienced a decrease in income, changes in consumption patterns, and limited access to formal financial services. In the post-pandemic period, the economic challenges faced by households have become increasingly complex, thus requiring enhanced literacy and skills in financial management, particularly those based on digital tools. This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to provide training in digital-based household financial management to communities in the partner area, in order to improve their ability to manage income, expenses, savings, and the wise use of digital financial applications. The implementation method includes an initial survey to assess participants' financial literacy levels, preparation of training modules, face to-face and online training sessions, as well as evaluation of participants’ improvement in knowledge and skills. The training materials cover topics such as household financial planning, debt and savings management, the use of digital wallets, financial recording applications, and basic understanding of micro-investments. The results of the program indicate that the training successfully increased participants’ understanding of basic financial concepts and improved their ability to use digital financial tracking applications. Participants also became more skilled in preparing family budgets, monitoring daily expenses, and identifying priority needs. Other positive outcomes include heightened awareness of the importance of saving and managing financial risk. This activity provides tangible contributions to fostering economic self-reliance among families in the digital era. Going forward, similar training programs are expected to be developed as sustainable initiatives, particularly for lower-middle income communities that are more vulnerable to economic shocks.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program aims to improve financial transparency and accountability in village cooperatives through the utilization of a simple accounting application. Activities include training on application usage, assistance in recording financial transactions, and evaluation of system implementation. It is expected that with this application, the financial management of cooperatives will become more structured, easily understandable, and accessible to members, thereby increasing trust and participation in cooperative activities.

Abstract

This Community Partnership Program aims to provide basic coding training to high school students to enhance their competence in the digital era. The training is designed to introduce programming concepts, computational logic, and problem-solving skills through an easy-to-understand programming language. Activities include an introduction to algorithms, simple data structures, and the development of small coding projects. It is expected that through this training, students can develop computational thinking skills, increase creativity, and prepare themselves to face technological challenges in the future.

Activities include education on the benefits of digital payment, training on application usage, and assistance in non-cash transactions. This program is expected to increase transaction efficiency, security, and financial accessibility for traders, while also promoting financial inclusion in traditional markets.
