Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze and to obtain empirical evidence concerning the influence of time budget pressure, the complexity of the audit, and the auditor’s professional skepticism on the quality of examination results of the Inspectorate Local Government in Lombok Island. The number of population in this study is 125 respondents, contain of the auditors and the local governmentsupervisor of the Inspectorate Local Government in Lombok Island, while the number of respondents are 106. Before the hypothesis test, firstly the validity and reliability test is applied, and followed with the classical assumption test and multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this study shows that timebudget pressure, the complexity of the audit, and the auditor’s professional skepticism give positive influence on the quality of the examination results of the Inspectorate Local Government in Lombok Island. Partially complexity of the audit and the auditor’s professional skepticism gives positive influence significantly, whereas time budget pressure has no significant influence. This is caused by theallocation of working hours on overtime hours can be done by the auditor, the auditor’s division of labor based on a fixed object and repeat inspection every year, the inspection team flexibility in audit work program within the budget allotted time, the auditor that the majority of respondents have more than 6 years of experience in the audit, the auditors step of career already arranged in a neat andprofessional education and ongoing training of auditors in the demands of his profession. Keywords: time budget pressure, complexity of the audit, the auditor’s professional skepticism, the quality of examination results

Abstract

Kata kunci: Alarm palsu, portal monitor radiasi, pencacahan monotonikTHE USE OF DETECTOR’S MONOTONIC COUNTING TO MINIMIZE FALSE ALARM ONRADIATION PORTAL MONITOR. Radiation portal monitor (RPM) has essential role in preventing the diversion and smuggling of radioactive material by detection of vehicles at check-points, such as seaport and airport, as well as industrial, health, and nuclear facilities. The RPM performance is characterized by low number of false alarm occurrences. The alarm threshold setting varies and is subjective, because there are many factors that should be considered. One of them is fluctuating background. The alarm threshold can be set by using detector’s monotonic counting. This paperdescribes a simulation of a radioactive source moving toward/leaving from the detector of RPM. The moving average filter is used in the statistical analysis. The difference of radiation intensity defines the slope of the generated data. The results obtained indicate whether the detector iscounting monotonically increasing or decreasing, so that the alarm threshold can be set in order to minimize the occurrence of false alarm. Keywords: False alarm, radiation portal monitor, monotonic counting

Abstract

AIDS remains ranked as the third most deadly disease in Indonesia. The disease is caused by the HIV that can lead to lower a person's immune status to trigger an opportunistic infections and cause of death. The incidence of HIV disease in 2014 has reached 32,711 cases, at the age of 14-19 years of 1,717 cases (5.24%). Lack of knowledge among teenagers about HIV/AIDS makes their behavior leads to negative interactions or risk to free sex, misuse of syringes, and other related problems. Problem-based instruction (PBI) as a learning model is expected to change knowledge and attitudes of teenagers on HIV / AIDS. The results of dependent t-test t value -3.8380 for knowledge, and the value of t -22.174 for attitudes which means an increase in value after a given model of PBI with a mean difference -6.800 and -24.000 respectively for knowledge and attitudes. The p value 0.000 for the results obtained knowledge and attitudes. The p value was

Abstract

Bill of Quantity is a form used by the contractor to submit a price to the owner in order to obtain a construction contract. It takes the ability and experience to make bill of quantity, not everyone can do it. The development of “Cost Estimation System for Construction Project (CES-CP)” is aims to assist people to make Bill of Quantity. The development of this application use FAST (Framework for the Application of Systems Techniques) methodology. This application stored the knowledge that required to make Bill of Quantity. It can show which one of the Work Unit Price are recommended for use on Bill of Quantity and which ones are not. All Work Unit Data that used on Bill of Quantity of a project will be stored and can be displayed at any time as a reference. This application helps people to make Bill of Quantity and make the process of making Bill of Quantity becomes more efficient.
