Abstract

This paper traces the historical evolution of giftedness conceptualization from ancient philosophical foundations to modern psychometric paradigms, delineating shifts from demystification (scientific scrutiny of divine/mystical traits) to identification and emerging transactional models emphasizing context and equity. Employing a narrative literature review of primary texts and secondary analyses, it examines philosophical founders—Plato's meritocratic "golden souls", Aristotle's neurotic genius, Locke's nurtured "natural genius"  Rousseau's natural education, Kant's artistic originality, Schopenhauer's idea-contemplating anomaly and modern pioneers like Galton's hereditarianism, Terman's longitudinal studies, Binet's modifiable judgment, Lombroso's pathological degeneration, Yoder's early recognition, and Cattell's mental tests. Findings reveal embedded elitism and inequities, urging inclusive, ethical practices for dynamic potential realization.

Abstract

The Cambodian Skills Roadmap is tasked with developing the country’s workforce into highly skilled, productive human capital capable of meeting current and future market requirements. Simultaneously, networking skills are becoming increasingly essential in the knowledge economy, leading to a corresponding increase in the skills required for graduate employability. The effect of employee networking competency on employability will be investigated in this paper. The objective of this paper is to investigate the pivotal role of networking skills in augmenting graduate employability. The article employs secondary sources, including official documents, books, journals, reports, and websites, to support its arguments. Thematic analysis is then employed to facilitate the organization and extraction of meaningful insights from the complex information presented. The review reveals that networking skills offer three primary advantages: developing skills and knowledge, achieving career success, and personal branding and lifelong learning. In the face of uncertain future career prospects, it is highly advisable to cultivate networking skills through the utilization of effective communication platforms.

Abstract

The rapid adoption of digital technologies in teaching and learning has increased the need for inclusive leadership that ensures equal access to digital learning opportunities for all students. However, poor infrastructure, inadequate funding, and gender disparities in leadership practices continue to hinder the effective implementation of inclusive digital platforms in Nigeria. This study examined leadership strategies for implementing inclusive digital platforms for deep learning in secondary schools in Anambra State, Nigeria, with particular attention to gender differences among school leaders. A descriptive and comparative research design was adopted. A purposive sample of 70 school leaders, comprising 26 males and 44 females, participated in the study. Data were collected using a validated questionnaire measuring inclusion practices, engagement strategies, and implementation challenges. The instrument yielded a reliability coefficient of 0.87. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics and the Mann–Whitney U test. Findings revealed that male leaders reported higher levels of inclusion promotion (3.65 vs. 3.25), stronger student engagement strategies (3.92 vs. 3.18), and greater concern over poor internet connectivity (3.31 vs. 2.59) than female leaders. Significant gender differences were found in inclusion practices, engagement strategies, and implementation challenges (U = 262.000; 289.500; 313.500, p = 0.001), leading to the rejection of all null hypotheses. The study concluded that gender and leadership style significantly influence the successful adoption of inclusive digital learning platforms. It further established that inadequate funding, poor connectivity, and limited assistive technologies remain major barriers. The study recommends gender-responsive leadership training, equitable allocation of digital resources, improved internet infrastructure, and sustained professional development for school leaders to strengthen inclusive digital platform adoption in secondary schools.

Abstract

The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) into educational materials has opened new possibilities for early childhood language learning. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an AI-based interactive storybook as a medium for introducing English vocabulary to early childhood learners at TK Yayasan Wanita Kereta Api (YWKA). Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach with the ADDIE model on a limited scale, the study involved 20 children from one classroom. Data were collected through structured observation using a four-point developmental rubric assessing vocabulary recognition, word-picture association, pronunciation, listening engagement, and comprehension. Results indicated that the majority of children achieved the Developing as Expected (BSH) and Developing Very Well (BSB) categories across all indicators. The AI-based storybook proved effective in enhancing children's English vocabulary acquisition and sustaining learning engagement throughout the instructional process. These findings conclude that AI-based storybooks represent a viable and innovative instructional medium for early childhood education. The implications suggest that such technology-enhanced materials should be more widely integrated into early childhood curricula, particularly to introduce English language learning at an early age, thereby supporting the development of foundational language competencies in young learners.

Abstract

This study aims to uncover the language used in Dedi Corbuzier’s podcast through Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA). It employs a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The data source of this study is a podcast by Deddy Corbuzier featuring the Minister of Education, discussing polemics surrounding education policy. Data were collected through documentation, note-taking, transcription, and coding, and analyzed using data reduction, data display, hermeneutic interpretation, validity testing, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that, at the macro level, the discourse theme centers on controversies surrounding educational policy. At the superstructure level, the text consists of a title, lead, and storyline, while the microstructure includes syntactic and semantic elements that support the theme. Social cognition is reflected in the use of person, self, role, and event schemas by Dedi Corbuzier in interpreting Nadiem Makarim and educational policies. In social practice, power relations are evident in Nadiem’s position as minister and Dedi’s role as media owner, influencing public acceptance. CDA highlights that language is embedded with ideology and interests, making it essential for critical literacy.

Abstract

This study is motivated by the relatively low level of discipline among early childhood learners, which necessitates effective strategies to foster positive behavior in classroom settings. The purpose of this research is to examine the effect of teacher-provided rewards on the discipline of Group B children at TK Ar Rehan Pekanbaru. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a nonequivalent control group, involving an experimental group and a control group. Data were collected through observation and documentation using a systematically developed discipline observation sheet. Data analysis was conducted to identify changes within each group and differences between the two groups. The findings indicate that teachers' use of rewards has a significant positive effect on children’s discipline. The group receiving the intervention demonstrated greater improvement in disciplined behavior compared to the group without the intervention. These results highlight the importance of rewards as a form of positive reinforcement in shaping disciplined behavior in early childhood education. This study contributes to strengthening the use of positive reinforcement-based instructional strategies that teachers can effectively implement to support optimal character development in young children.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the implementation of TikTok-integrated Project-Based Learning (PjBL) in improving digital marketing vocational competencies in the Package C equivalency program. A qualitative approach was used with a case study design at PKBM Anggrek Bulan Banyuwangi. Participants involved 25 learners with diverse characteristics, ranging from high school students to housewives with side jobs. Interview informants were selected through purposive sampling, consisting of PKBM heads and learners. Data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. The results showed that learners were able to understand the basic stages of digital marketing through TikTok, such as affiliate strategies, hashtag use, trending audio, and the preparation of promotional content for local Banyuwangi products, especially golden dragon fruit. Project-based learning also improved content creativity and marketing communication skills of learners.
