Abstract

The transformation of the da'wah medium from a conventional pulpit to an algorithmic environment necessitates a new managerial framework. This study aims to analyze the digital da'wah management strategies within the ecosystems of Hijrah Youth Shift and Jeda Nulis. Employing a qualitative approach with a four-stage netnographic design (data entry, observation, interpretation, and validation), this study analyzed 200 top-performing content units across YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok from December 2025 to May 2026. The findings reconstruct the classical POAC management functions into the "Algorithmic Da'wah Management Model": Takhthith (data-driven algorithmic profiling), Tandzim (agile media team organization), Tawjih (hook-optimized actuating), and Riqabah (metric-based controlling). Empirical evidence indicates that algorithmic architecture acts as a primary gatekeeper of theological visibility. The analysis demonstrates that the highest interaction (85% engagement rate) correlates not with theological depth, but with the technical mastery of micro-duration content (30–60 seconds). Linking these findings to platformization and algorithmic governance theories, the study argues that digital religious actors globally must adopt identical managerial agility to survive the attention economy. This research contributes to digital religion studies by providing an empirically validated model for religious communication in a platformized society.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze and construct a conceptual model of Islamic therapeutic communication based in campus mosques for spiritual development as a preventive strategy against sexual violence in higher education institutions. This research employs a qualitative approach with a library research design. Data were collected through document analysis of academic journals, books, and relevant regulations, and were analyzed using thematic analysis consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was ensured through source triangulation. The theoretical framework includes Michel Foucault’s theory of power relations, Johan Galtung’s violence triangle theory strengthened by contemporary feminism, Islamic therapeutic communication theory, and the concepts of zawajir and jawabir in Islamic criminal law. The findings indicate that sexual violence in higher education is a multidimensional phenomenon influenced by power asymmetry, patriarchal culture, and weak institutional protection systems. The discussion reveals that Islamic therapeutic communication through istima’, hiwar, and irsyad provides a transformative space for psychological and spiritual recovery as well as prevention. The integration of the four perspectives produces a mosque-based preventive model emphasizing power deconstruction, cultural transformation, therapeutic communication strengthening, and continuous internalization of Islamic values within academic environments.

Abstract

The development of tourism in the small archipelago has brought gradual but consistent social changes to the structure of family relationships, the division of domestic roles, and the daily interaction patterns of local communities. This study aims to analyze how Sambas Malay Muslim families in tourism-affected archipelago communities build and practice family resilience through relational, religious, and adaptive strategies in daily life. Using a qualitative approach with a case study design, the research was conducted on Lemukutan Island, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan, with subjects of Sambas Malay Muslim families who have inhabited the island for generations. Data were obtained through in-depth interviews and limited observations, then analyzed using thematic analysis with a culturally and religiously sensitive approach. The findings show that the resilience of the Sambas Malay Muslim family does not manifest itself as a reactive response to acute crises, but rather as a non-confrontational social practice that is lived consistently through three dimensions: management of internal family relationships based on spiritual routines and intergenerational bonds, adjustment of interactions with tourists through structured and value-limited strategies of openness, and maintenance of family stability through the implementation of values Islam and social care across generations. The contribution of these findings lies in the designation that the resilience of Muslim families in the context of tourism is not a product of external intervention, but rather a system of layered social practices rooted in the cultural and spiritual capital of communities that have accumulated long before the wave of tourism arrives.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the formulation, implementation, and effectiveness of the sufistic da’wah management strategy applied by Jam’iyah Ahlith-Thariqah al-Mu’tabarah An-Nahdliyyah (JATMAN), Banyumas Branch, in building the spiritual awareness of contemporary youth. Using a qualitative-descriptive approach with an intrinsic case study design, data were collected through method triangulation, comprising in-depth interviews with JATMAN leaders, tarekat murshids, and activists of Mahasiswa Ahlith Thariqah Al-Mu’tabarah An-Nahdliyyah (MATAN), supplemented by participatory observation and institutional document analysis. The findings showed that JATMAN Banyumas successfully integrated modern management principles (planning, organizing, actuating, controlling) with the theosophical value of ihsan through the autonomous youth body MATAN. The da’wah implementation strategy was developed hybridly, combining large-scale physical manaqib assemblies with creative digital content production to reduce the existential anxiety of the millennial and Gen Z generations while eroding the bid’ah stigma imposed by puritan groups. This study’s limitation lies in its geographically specific locus in Banyumas Regency, implying the need for comparative studies with other urban regions. The practical implication offers a blueprint for religious organizations in repackaging Sufi teachings into an adaptive and inclusive spiritual therapy method in the digital era. The originality of this research lies in the theoretical conceptualization of “Transcendental Da’wah Management,” which bridges George R. Terry’s management functions with the esoteric pillar of ihsan and the concept of the spiritual chain of transmission (isnad).

Abstract

Economic uncertainty driven by digital transformation, technological disruption, labor market volatility, and global economic instability has reshaped young people's perceptions of success. Rather than being defined solely by material achievement, success is increasingly understood as a multidimensional concept encompassing psychological well-being, work-life balance, social contribution, economic resilience, and spiritual fulfillment. This transformation presents new challenges and opportunities for da'wah communication in guiding value formation among young people. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the role of Da'wah Communication Management in reconstructing young people's meaning of success amid economic uncertainty and to develop a conceptual framework that integrates communication management with Islamic values. This study employed a Scoping Literature Review approach following the PRISMA-ScR framework. Seven relevant articles published between 2020 and 2025 were identified through a systematic search and analyzed using thematic synthesis to examine patterns, concepts, and relationships among economic uncertainty, the construction of success, and da'wah communication. The findings indicate that economic uncertainty has shifted young people's orientation of success from predominantly material goals toward a more holistic perspective influenced by social interaction, digital communication, and Islamic values. Furthermore, the review demonstrates that effective reconstruction of the meaning of success requires strategically managed da'wah communication through the integrated functions of planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating communication activities. The novelty of this study lies in the development of a conceptual model of Da'wah Communication Management that integrates communication management theory, social construction theory, and Islamic values into a unified framework for reconstructing young people's meaning of success. This model contributes theoretically to the advancement of Islamic communication studies and offers practical guidance for da'wah institutions, educational organizations, and policymakers in developing communication strategies that foster holistic, ethical, and resilient perspectives on success among young people.

Abstract

This study investigates the communication model employed by religious leaders to sustain consistent worship practices among community members in Sekerak Subdistrict, Aceh Tamiang Regency, Indonesia. Using a descriptive qualitative design, the study explores communication patterns, message-delivery strategies, congregational responses, and factors shaping the effectiveness of religious guidance. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with religious leaders, mosque and prayer-room administrators, community figures, and active congregants, complemented by direct observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive process of reduction, display, and conclusion drawing, with credibility ensured through source and methodological triangulation. The findings reveal an integrated persuasive-participatory communication model combining interpersonal, emotional, dialogical, and exemplary approaches. Two-way communication was particularly salient, enabling congregants to raise questions, express concerns, and discuss barriers to worship. Religious leaders reinforced commitment through accessible language, gentle persuasion, repeated motivational messages, personal engagement, emotional support, and role modelling. Effectiveness was strengthened by leader credibility, family involvement, supportive religious environments, and face-to-face interaction, but constrained by work and economic pressures, health conditions, weak spiritual motivation, social influences, and limited use of digital media. The study concludes that persuasive-participatory communication grounded in interpersonal closeness and exemplary conduct can strengthen spiritual awareness, worship discipline, and continuity. The findings extend persuasive-participatory communication as a framework for understanding sustained religious practice and highlight the need for dialogical guidance, stronger family and institutional involvement, and context-appropriate digital strategies.
