Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has brought both positive and negative impacts to society, particularly among adolescents. One of the increasingly concerning negative impacts is the phenomenon of cyberbullying, which can cause serious psychological effects on its victims. Adolescents in Sitimerto Village, Pagu District, Kediri Regency still have a limited understanding of digital literacy and cyberbullying prevention. This community service program aims to increase adolescents' awareness and understanding of safe digital technology use and cyberbullying prevention through community-based digital education. The method used is the ABCD (Asset-Based Community Development) approach integrated with the Appreciative Inquiry approach, employing counseling techniques, interactive discussions, and practical workshops involving local adolescents. The program was implemented through a series of activities including asset identification, collective dream formulation, development of understanding regarding social media ethics, and program evaluation. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of digital literacy and the dangers of cyberbullying. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm and good ability in identifying forms of cyberbullying and prevention strategies. In conclusion, the digital education program is effective in increasing adolescents' awareness about responsible digital technology use and cyberbullying prevention in rural environments.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has given rise to new problems in the form of misuse of digital financial services. Some examples include illegal online lending (pinjol) and online gambling. Teenagers, who frequently use digital technology, are highly vulnerable to unregulated illegal pinjol and judol practices not supervised by the OJK. The objective of this initiative is to raise teenagers' awareness of the dangers of illegal lending and online gambling through an educational approach that is both enjoyable and participatory. The implementation methods included face-to-face counseling, case discussions, and interactive question-and-answer sessions held in Mekikis Village, Purwoasri Subdistrict, involving 35 teenagers. The materials presented included an introduction illegal online lending and online gambling, their illegal characteristics, psychological and social effects, and prevention methods. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding, marked by active engagement in discussions, the ability to recognize the characteristics of illegal online lending, and a commitment to share information with family and the surrounding community. Thus, this educational program was effective in building digital literacy and critical awareness among teenagers about the dangers of illegal online lending and online gambling.

Abstract

This community service activity aimed to enhance elementary school children's understanding of body boundaries as an effort to prevent sexual violence. This education was motivated by the persistently high number of child sexual abuse cases in Indonesia and the lack of children's knowledge about which body parts can and cannot be touched. The method used was service-learning with a participatory approach involving Community Service Program (KKN) students from UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri Kediri as facilitators. The activity was conducted at SDN 1 and SDN 2 Purwodadi Village, Purwoasri District, from July to August 2025. Participants were students in grades 1 to 6, ranging in age from 7 to 12 years. The material was delivered through interactive lectures, visual media (illustrated PowerPoint presentations, animated videos), educational songs, quiz games, and role-playing simulations to train children to refuse inappropriate touch. Evaluation was carried out through pre-tests, post-tests, and observation of active participation. The results showed a significant improvement in participants' understanding, where students who initially had low knowledge about body boundaries became more aware of private body parts, could distinguish between good and bad touch, and had the courage to say "no" to uncomfortable touch. The activity also involved teachers and parents as partners to create a safe and communicative environment for children. The conclusion of this activity is that body boundaries education using participatory, interactive, and enjoyable methods is effective in increasing self-protection awareness among elementary school-aged children.

Abstract

This community service program aims to improve the communication skills and TOEIC scores of D3 Mechanical Engineering students at PSDKU Politeknik Negeri Malang in Kediri City. The background of this activity is the low level of communication skills and English proficiency among engineering students, which has the potential to hinder learning and mastery of the material. The training methods used include blended learning, project-based learning, collaborative learning, and intensive TOEIC training. The participants in the training were final semester students who needed to improve their English skills. The results showed an average increase in TOEIC scores of 150 points and a significant improvement in communication skills, confidence, and readiness to enter the workforce. However, there were still obstacles in listening skills and grammar mastery. Overall, this program has proven to be effective and can be provided to other groups of students to support the improvement of graduate quality who are better prepared to face the national and international workforce.

Abstract

Drug abuse is a social problem that has expanded beyond urban areas and increasingly affects rural communities. Limited public knowledge regarding the types, impacts, and prevention strategies of drug abuse contributes to community vulnerability toward illicit substance use. This community service program aimed to improve public awareness and understanding of drug abuse prevention in Kambingan Village, Pagu District, Kediri Regency, through the Prevention, Eradication, Abuse, and Illicit Drug Trafficking Program (Pencegahan, Pemberantasan Penyalahgunaan dan Peredaran Gelap Narkoba – P4GN). The program was implemented using a Participatory Action Research (PAR) approach involving collaboration among students of the KKN program at UIN Syekh Wasil Kediri, the National Narcotics Board (BNN), village authorities, and local communities. The activities included problem identification, interactive educational sessions, discussions, question-and-answer sessions, and evaluation through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicated an improvement in community understanding regarding drug types, negative impacts, distribution patterns, and preventive actions at the family and community levels. Furthermore, the program encouraged community participation through initiatives for environmental monitoring and continuous drug prevention education. A community-based P4GN program through a participatory approach represents a potential strategy for strengthening collective awareness and social resilience against drug abuse threats.
