This study aims to determine the effect of soursop leaf herbal tea consumption on reducing stress levels among new students at MAN Insan Pakar OKI. The research employed a laboratory and field experimental method using a One-Group Pre-Test-Post-Test Design. The stages included the preparation of soursop leaf tea, phytochemical tests (Benedict, FeCl₃, and saponin), microbiological tests (TPC, Salmonella sp., and E. coli), and psychological assessment using the DASS-42 questionnaire. A total of 90 respondents consumed one cup of soursop leaf tea daily for seven days, with stress levels measured before and after the intervention. The results indicated a significant decrease in DASS-42 scores (t = 9.12; p < 0.001) with a large effect size (Cohen's d = 1.15). These findings suggest that soursop leaf tea has the potential to serve as a functional herbal beverage that is safe for consumption and supports students' psychological well-being in adapting to a boarding school environment.

Coal mining activities in East Kalimantan Province provide a significant economic contribution, yet simultaneously triggering massive deforestation that threatens biodiversity. This research aims to analyze the dynamics and implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs at PT Kaltim Prima Coal (KPC) in advancing the attainment of Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) 15 concerning Life on Land in Kutai Timur Recency. Employing a descriptive qualitative method with a purposive sampling technique, data were collected through observation, semi-structured interviews and documentation studies involving the company, local communities and local government agencies. The analysis was conducted using Triple Bottom Line (TBL) theory, SDG 15 framework, CSR theory and the Ecological Perspective. The findings indicate that PT KPC has integrated SDG 15 into its business strategy through the principle of Beyond Compliance, moving beyond mere regulatory obedience. Technical implementation focuses on restoring post-mining land to a safe, stable and productive condition through topsoil salvage and arboretum development, which has successfully reintroduced endemic fauna, signaling ecological recovery. A key finding of this research demonstrates an interdependent synergy between Environment and External Affairs division, where the technical requirement of 35.000 seedlings per month for reclamation was transformed into an economic empowerment program by involving local communities as strategic partners, thus supporting Target 15.c. Furthermore, the company successfully transformed environmental risk into sustainability assets, such as utilizing mining voids for municipal clean water (PDAM) and developing integrated cattle farming (PESAT) on reclaimed land. The study concludes that the successful achievement of SDG 15 is highly dependent on the balance between Planet, Profit and People pillars. Although persistent challenges in shifting community dependency patterns towards self-reliance, the strategic integration of CSR programs with the Regional Development Plan (RPD) and the legal assurance provided by the Mine Closure Plan (RPT) is essential for creating shared value and ensuring community economic independence after mining operations cease.

The growing reliance on digital platforms in tourism has reshaped how destinations communicate and compete, particularly for tourism villages that depend on community involvement. The strength of human resources in managing tourism potential and conducting effective promotion is a key determinant of tourism village development. Therefore, targeted training is necessary to enhance local community capacity in tourism management and digital promotion to expand wider visitors. This study examines digital tourism promotion training as a community development practice in Rindu Hati Tourism Village, Indonesia, focusing on collaboration between local tourism actors and Universitas Bengkulu (UNIB). This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach to explore processes, practices, and outcomes of digital tourism promotion training within the community. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation, capturing how digital promotion was prepared, implemented through participatory training, and integrated into everyday tourism management. The findings show that digital tourism promotion developed through collective training activities that enabled the community to manage websites and digital video platforms as shared promotional spaces. Digital platforms functioned not only as marketing tools but also as media for expressing local identity and strengthening community participation. The collaboration with the local university supported learning and facilitation while maintaining community control over tourism narratives. Furthermore, this research found that this training contributes to local community development when embedded in participatory processes, educational collaboration, and locally grounded practices.

The rainy season has been observed to result in the river reaching its maximum discharge, thereby causing water to be sent into residential areas and roads at approximately 200 points within the Surabaya city area. This phenomenon is further compounded by the inadequacy of the drainage system, which, despite the construction of box culverts in anticipation of the issue, has not yielded substantial results in terms of flood risk management. In confronting these challenges, it is imperative to recognise the pivotal role that community perceptions play in effectively managing and responding to disasters. This study aims to explore the basis of community perceptions regarding mitigation, evacuation, rehabilitation, and the assessment of the city government's flood management strategies in the Surabaya area. The research will implement ethnography virtual research methods by uncovering public narratives generated through comments on “lovesuroboyo” Instagram posts related to flood and culvert box. The discourse in the public sphere has indicated a pervasive sentiment of dissatisfaction with the government for flood risk management. This has led that the culvert box, a primary conduit for flood mitigation, has been adjudged unsatisfactory. In the context of environmental protection and flood management, it is imperative to underscore the significance of two key elements, namely, effective drainage infrastructure and a shared understanding among stakeholders. The necessity for collaboration between government entities and the community as an instrumental means of addressing and mitigating challenges pertaining to flooding.

Extreme poverty remains a structural issue that hinders improving the quality of life of communities, especially in areas with minimal access to education, health care, and social protection. This study aims to analyze the role and effectiveness of Community School-based social protection as an alternative community empowerment strategy to break out of the cycle of extreme poverty. Using a qualitative approach with descriptive methods, this study gathered data through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation studies in communities implementing the Community School model. The results indicate that implementing Community Schools as a strategy to address extreme poverty has significant potential to improve the quality of life of children from the poorest families through boarding school education, a vocational curriculum, and a holistic approach involving health support and family empowerment. However, the study also identified significant challenges, such as limited competent teaching staff, incomplete long-term funding, the risk of social and psychological impacts on students, and targeting issues due to suboptimal data validity. Nevertheless, if these challenges can be addressed with appropriate policies, the Community School program has the potential to be an effective intervention in breaking the cycle of extreme poverty in Indonesia.

The development of community-based tourism villages is one of the strategies for sustainable tourism development in Indonesia. The success of tourism village development is largely determined by the level of participation of local communities as the main actors. This study aims to analyze the forms of community participation, supporting and inhibiting factors of participation, and their implications for the development of Sungai Petai Tourism Village, Kampar District. The study uses an interpretive paradigm with a descriptive qualitative approach within the Community Based Tourism (CBT) framework. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, field observations, and documentation studies. Research informants were determined purposively, including village officials, tourism village managers, community leaders, youth, and local business actors. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that community participation has occurred but is still dominated by the implementation stage of activities, while involvement in planning and decision-making is still limited. Supporting factors for participation include the natural potential of Sungai Petai and the community's spirit of mutual cooperation, while inhibiting factors include limited human resource capacity, low access to information, and non-inclusive tourism village management institutions. This study recommends developing a more inclusive model of community participation through strengthening village tourism institutions, particularly by examining in-depth the mechanisms of community involvement in the planning and decision-making stages to achieve sustainable village tourism development.

Maritime vocational higher education plays a strategic role in preparing human resources capable of meeting the needs of the ever-growing and increasingly competitive maritime sector. The dynamics of the maritime industry, characterized by technological developments, increasingly stringent work standards, and the need for a ready-to-work workforce, demand learning that is oriented towards achieving students' true capabilities. However, in practice, there is still a gap between the learning process in maritime vocational higher education and the real needs of the workplace, both in terms of learning orientation, the role of educators, and integration with industry. This study aims to examine in depth the implementation of competency-based learning in maritime vocational higher education and its commitment to graduate readiness and competitiveness. This study uses a qualitative approach through the review and analysis of various literature sources and previous research results relevant to competency-based learning and maritime vocational education. The results indicate that the direction and orientation of learning that align with the needs of the maritime industry play a crucial role in shaping graduates' work readiness. The role of educators, practical instructors, and an integrated learning environment also supports the achievement of students' professional skills and attitudes. Furthermore, integrating learning with the needs of the maritime industry, despite facing various challenges, opens up opportunities for continuous learning innovation to improve the quality and competitiveness of maritime vocational higher education graduates.
