Abstract

Sexual violence against children is one of the acts that violate human rights. As is known that the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia and the Law on Human Rights. Therefore, the protection of children from violence should be respected, upheld, and enhanced human dignity without discrimination, welfare and justice for children. Violence is any unlawful act with or without using means against the physical and psychological that causes danger to life, body, or causes the deprivation of a child's freedom. The purpose of this study is an effort to provide legal protection to children who are victims of sexuality from a human rights perspective. By using a normative legal research method based on primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials, such as laws and regulations, legal theory, and can be in the form of expert opinions related to existing problems. The results of this study were then analyzed qualitatively with descriptive-descriptive presentation. Then it was found that the existence of child victims of sexual violence had not received adequate services so that efforts were needed to protect legal protection for child victims of sexual violence with the aim of providing guarantees and protecting their rights so that they can live, grow, develop and participate optimally, and obtain protection from violence and discrimination.

Abstract

Cucumber plants are a group of fruits that are in great demand in various circles, cucumbers are often used as fresh vegetables and processed as juice and stir-fry, so the demand for cucumber fruit production is very high. In 2020, cucumber production has decreased due to the low productivity of cucumber plants. To increase the production and productivity of cucumber plants requires effective plant cultivation techniques, especially in basic fertilization so as to produce maximum production. The fertilizer used in this study is agricultural lime or dolomite. This study used a non-factorial group randomized design (RAK). The treatment of dolomite (D) with 3 levels, namely D0 = 0 gr/plot, D1 = 100 gr/plot, and D2 = 200 gr/plot. The results of Anova analysis of variance for the observation parameters of plant height (cm), fruit weight (gr), and number of fruits showed no significant effect but the observation of fruit diameter (mm) had a significant effect. The best treatment average is D2 = 200 gr/plot.

Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the use of the word wall technique can increase students’ vocabulary mastery and students’ interest in learning vocabulary with a word wall. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan, Deli Serdang Regency for the 2023/2024 academic year. The main problem in this research consisted of 50 students. The form of research is quasi experimental where the research uses two groups, namely,VIII-9 as a control group (not using the word wall technique) with a total of 25 students and VIII-11 as an experimental group (using the word wall technique) with a total of 25 students. The researcher gave a pre-test and post-test for both groups. The results of the data showed that there was an increase and interest in using word wall technique to increase students’ vocabulary. The percentage of students’ scores before being taught using the word wall technique was 19.34% and after teaching using word wall technique was 41.76%. Therefore, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) for this research is accepted. This means that the use of the word wall technique increases students’ vocabulary mastery in class VIII of SMP Negeri 2 Percut Sei Tuan.

Abstract

Construction projects are growing rapidly over time. Each project has certain characteristics and requirements at each stage of project implementation in order to distinguish one project from another. The role of the owner, consultant and contractor is needed in project implementation to achieve maximum results. The cost and time control process is an important factor for the success and efficiency of project work. This study uses the Earned value method with a document study data collection method where the type of research uses quantitative with descriptive analysis. Data processing uses Microsoft Excel. The results of the study showed the SPI value from week 1 - week 11 of 0.59, in weeks 12 - 20 the SPI value was 2.97. The CPI value from week 1 - week 27 was 0.90 which means more wasteful costs. Estimated At Completion (EAC) using the Earned value method is IDR 20,298,475,550.24 with a projected loss of IDR 8,759,432,242.03. Estimated All Schedule (EAS) using the earned value method is 176 days.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) in village governance with a case study in Lahusa Satu Village. BPD is a village institution that has a strategic function in the village governance process, including in formulating village policies, supervising the performance of the village head, and accommodating and channeling community aspirations. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with BPD members, village heads, and community leaders, as well as direct observation and documentation studies of village regulations, activity reports, and BPD meeting minutes. The results of the study indicate that the BPD of Lahusa Satu Village plays an important role in making village policies and supervising the performance of the village head, but still faces various obstacles such as a lack of understanding of BPD members regarding regulations, minimal resources, and limited technical support. In addition, community participation in village development facilitated by the BPD also showed positive results by increasing a sense of ownership and shared responsibility for village development. In conclusion, to optimize the role of the BPD, it is necessary to increase the capacity of BPD members through training and technical guidance, as well as closer cooperation between the BPD, village head, and the community.

Abstract

Workplace conflicts can damage team skills, productivity, and employee retention, so it's important to resolve them as quickly as possible. This article explores conflict management strategies that companies like PT Starindo can use to improve team performance. These strategies include encouraging open communication, providing conflict training, encouraging a positive work culture, providing tools and resources, and encouraging problem-solving skills. By implementing these strategies, PT Starindo can improve their team's skills, increase productivity, and stay ahead in a competitive market.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to find out whether COMIC STRIPS has significant effect COMIC STRIPS on the students’ Reading Comprehension of spoof text at the eight grade of SMP Parulian 3 Medan in academic year 2024/2025. The subject of the study was 47 students of the tenth grade students of SMP Parulian 3 Medan, which were chosen randomly. The writer took two groups of the students as the samples, one as the experimental group and another one as the control group. The data were collected by using reading test. The data were analyzed by t-test. The type of this research is an experimental research. The result of the study showed that the means of experimental group is 80,25 and it is good category. The means of the students who were taught reading comprehension of spoof text by using COMIC STRIPS technique was 80.25, the means of the students who were taught Reading Comprehension of spoof text without COMIC STRIPS technique is 67.75. It could be seen from the final result of t-test analysis which stated that the t-value was higher than the t-table (6.3549> 0,320). There was a difference in the students’ achievement in writing recount texts between students taught using COMIC STRIPS media and those without using COMIC STRIPS median. Having analyzed the data, the writer found that the students’ achievement of experiment class was better than that of the control class.

Abstract

The effect of the flipped class method on students reading hortatory exposition texts in class IX of SMPS Madani Marindal – I. A thesis. English Language Education, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Indonesian Community Development University. Supervisor: (I) Fatin Nadifa Br Tarigan, S.Pd., M.Hum. (II) Nurmayana, S.Pd., M.Li. Helping students to reading English is a problem that must be solved. So this is the background for carrying out this research. The aim of this research is to determine the effect of using the flipped class method in students' reading learning and to find out whether students are interested in learning with this method. The subjects in this research were class IX students at SMPS Madani Marindal – I Medan for the 2023/2024 academic year, totaling 65 students. This research uses one class, namely class IX. In this study, researchers applied an experimental research design involving pre-test and post-test to measure student achievement in reading hortatory exposition. Researchers used one instrument. There are tests carried out, including pre-test and post-test. Based on the results of data processing, the results showed that there was a significant increase, namely the average post-test score was higher than that found in the pre-test (68.8>48.52) and (82.29>49.51). From the results of the changed data, it can be concluded that students have experienced improvements in learning by using the flipped class. And the results of interviews conducted with English teachers prove that this method is effective for students. The research hypothesis in this study shows the number 7.32. And this is included in the good category and it can be said that this research is valid and significant.

Abstract

The reasearch entitled The Impact Of Extensive Reading Technique On The Students’ Vocabulary Mastery At The Eight Grade Of Smpn2 Kualuh Selatan. With the main problem studied in this research, namely what is the impact of extensive reading on students’ in vocabulary mastery at Smpn2 Kualuh Selatan. This research aim to find out whether the use of extensive reading has an impact or not on students’ vocabulary mastery. The researcher used a pre- experimental one group pre-test and post-test design, which consisted of six meetings including the treatments. Population in this reasearch were the eight grade students of Smpn2 Kualuh Selatan consisted of 6 clases. The sample was used was a purposive sampling technique with a total of 40 students. The instrument of this research used multiple-choice tests to obtain the data. From the data obtained indicate that there was a changed in student test results. The avarage score of students taught usinng extensive readiing technique 77,25, The avarage score of students taught without using extensive reading technique 67,75.

Abstract

The research was directed entirely to determine the impact of Promotion, Product Quality, and Brand with the method of partial hypothesis and simultaneous hypotheses on the Purchase Decision of the POCO smartphone product in the online store Xiaomi Official Store ID. The study used 100 respondents with the technique of the Random Sampling method. The method applied in this research is primary data starting from the questionnaire. This research shows that the Promotion affects the Purchase Decision of the POCO product in the Xiaomi Official Store ID online store. The quality of the product influences the Purchasing Decision for POCO products at the Xiaomi official store ID online shop. Markers influence the purchase decision of POCOs products in the online store of the Xiaomi official store ID. There is an enormous influence between Promotion, Product Quality and Brand on the decision to purchase POCO products in Xiaomi official shop ID online.
