Violence against children in Indonesia from time to time continues to occur and increasingly various forms. In fact, children are the successors and assets owned by the nation that will maintain and realize the ideals of the nation. Pindakan is a behavior that violates the law and will be given sanctions to the perpetrators who do this. At present many crimes are often carried out such as violence. Violence is an arbitrary act carried out by someone with the aim of hurting physically and psychologically. Parents have an important role to maintain and protect but actually acts of violence against children are carried out by their closest people like parents. Then the need for a way so that acts of violence against children are not continuously carried out and must be given firm action by the government to the perpetrators who did this. This paper examines how legal protection efforts for children as victims of violence that occurred in Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the morphological characteristics of shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) using colchicine at various concentrations and soaking times. The results showed that the concentration of colchicine at 250 ppm was able to affect the morphology of shallot plants in terms of plant height, tuber diameter, and tuber fresh weight but had no effect on the number of leaves or tuber dry weight. A soaking time of 6 hours was able to affect the morphology of shallot plants on the rate of plant height and tuber diameter but did not affect the rate of the number of leaves, tuber fresh weight, or tuber dry weight. The interaction between colchicine concentration and soaking time showed that it was able to affect the performance of shallot plants in all observational variables except the dry weight of shallot bulbs. The concentration of colchicine and the time of administration are very influential in the induction of polyploid mutations. The studies summarized here can be a reference for the best soaking and concentration in combination with treatments that support the growth and production of local shallots in particular and varieties of shallots in general.

Abstract

Restorative justice is an alternative settlement of criminal cases in which the mechanism of criminal justice procedures focuses on punishment which is converted into a dialogue and mediation process involving perpetrators, victims, families and other related parties to jointly create an agreement on the settlement of criminal cases fair and balanced for victims and perpetrators by prioritizing restoration to its original state, and restoring good relations in society. The Supreme Court considers that it is necessary to apply Restorative Justice for several cases, one of which is the narcotics case which must be carried out by all district court judges and heads of high courts through the Decree of the Director General of the General Judiciary Agency of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Indonesia Number 1691/DJU/SK/PS.00 /12/2020 concerning the Enforcement of Guidelines for the Implementation of Restorative Justice in the General Courts (abbreviated as "Decisions") on December 22, 2020. Abstract

In the early 1980s, one of the fishery commodities, namely mud crabs, became an important commodity in Indonesia. The majority of the economic potential came from the wealth of the sea, specifically the increased production of mud crabs, especially in Ujungpangkah Village, Gresik Regency. This increase was influenced by the high demand for various types of mud crabs every day. The fundamental problem in the harvesting process of mud crabs still relied on conventional methods, which involved weighing and sorting each crab based on its weight. This method required a significant amount of manpower and time to complete the process, resulting in delays in distribution and marketing, which significantly affected the harvest yield and customer trust. This research aims to design an automation system that suits the field conditions, specifically an automatic sorting system for mud crabs controlled by a Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) Omron CP1E-N30DT-A and Arduino NANO, which communicate with each other to provide logical instructions. The system also employs a PID (Proportional Integral Derivative) controller to control the DC (Direct Current) motor of the conveyor. The sorting device created is a conveyor that transports the crabs to an automatic load cell sensor for weight reading.

Abstract

Sweet corn (Zea mays saccharata Sturt.) is a horticultural product that is widely consumed as a vegetable or consumed directly by Indonesian people because it has a sweeter taste than ordinary corn. Corn plants require sufficient nutrients to be able to grow and produce optimally, so fertilization is a determining factor for the success of corn cultivation. This research was carried out in the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Indonesian Community Development University (UPMI), Medan, from July to September 2022. A factorial randomized block design (RAK) with two treatment factors for organic fertilizer treatment, namely: K0 = Control; K1 = 1 kg/plot; K2 = 1.5 kg/plot; K3 = 2 kg/plot, and inorganic fertilizer treatment, namely: U0 = Control; U1 = 50 g/plot; U2 = 100 g/plot; U3 = 150 g/plot, repeated four times. Parameters observed were (1) plant height (cm), (2) number of leaves (strands), (3) cob length (cm), and (4) cob weight (g). The results of the research on organic fertilizer treatment had no significant effect on the observed parameters. But the application of inorganic fertilizers had a significant effect on plant height but had no effect on the number of leaves observed, cob length, or cob weight of sweet corn. The combination of organic and inorganic fertilizers for growth and production was better than the control treatment or the treatment of organic and inorganic fertilizers.

Abstract

The application of the Restorative Justice system to children who are in conflict with the law is an important alternative in considering children as perpetrators of violent crimes that result in physical and psychological violence. This type of research is research using a qualitative descriptive approach. Data collection in this study was carried out through a literature study, where the data obtained will be systematically arranged and analyzed using Restorative Justice. The restorative justice approach basically exists to reduce the number of inmates in correctional institutions. Therefore, as much as possible it is resolved peacefully (mediation) with the aim of restoring the situation to normal and restoring the pattern of good relations in society. In cases of sexual violence, the losses suffered by victims are not only physical and material, but also psychological and social. Can Restorative Justice protect victims and guarantee victims' rights, of course this is still a big question mark. Physical and material losses may recover in a short time, but psychologically it takes a very long time, even a lifetime. In addition, there is no security guarantee that the perpetrator will not make threats against the victim or even repeat his actions when the Restorative Justice process is complete.
