Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is a learning framework designed to provide teachers with the flexibility to design the teaching and learning process based on students' needs, interests, and potential. The independent curriculum is an independent program that emphasizes context-based learning, character building through the Pancasila Student Profile, and a differentiation approach that allows students to learn at a pace and method that suits their abilities. Through an adaptive and flexible approach, the Independent Curriculum aims to create a more relevant, meaningful, and contextual learning experience for students. Fractions are one of the important materials in basic mathematics because they provide a foundation for understanding more complex concepts such as decimals, percentages, and algebra. In the independent curriculum, this separate material aims to improve conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and application skills through a context-based approach and strengthen the Pancasila student profile. This article analyzes the implementation of the Independent program in distributed learning in elementary schools, including planning, implementing, and assessing learning. The results of the analysis show that the independent curriculum provides teachers with the flexibility to develop innovative learning strategies, such as Real-World Mathematics (RME) and project-based learning, so that students can connect fractions to everyday situations. However, the challenge is the lack of teacher understanding of the new approach and limited learning resources are still obstacles in its implementation. This article recommends teacher training and the development of contextual learning materials to support the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in fraction learning

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the performance of the Probabilistic Neural Network (PNN) method for detecting seismic anomalies in the monitoring data of Mount Merapi. The study utilized a dataset comprising 368 records, representing both normal activity and increased seismic activity. The dataset was divided into 70% for training and 30% for testing. During the training phase, the PNN model achieved an accuracy of 87%, indicating its capability to identify patterns in the seismic data effectively. However, the testing phase, conducted to validate the model’s generalization ability, yielded an accuracy of 64%. These results suggest that while the PNN method demonstrates promise in detecting seismic anomalies, its performance requires further improvement to enhance reliability in operational volcanic monitoring systems. Abstract

This research aims to analyze the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance in elementary schools. This research uses a quantitative descriptive method with a population of all teachers who teach in elementary schools in Lembah Seulawah District totaling 90 teachers spread across 9 schools. The research sample was selected using proportional random sampling. Data was obtained by distributing questionnaires distributed to selected teachers, which contained questions related to organizational culture and teacher performance. Data analysis uses descriptive statistical techniques to describe the characteristics of organizational culture and teacher performance, as well as correlation tests to see the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance. The results of the Spearman correlation coefficient analysis, found a correlation coefficient value of 0.740, which indicates a strong positive relationship between the two variables. The higher the organizational culture implemented in the school, the better the performance shown by the teacher. Factors in organizational culture, such as shared values, norms, and effective communication, have been shown to have a significant impact on teacher motivation and work quality. With a significance level of 0.000, which is smaller than 0.05, it can be concluded that the relationship between organizational culture and teacher performance is very statistically significant. These findings indicate that organizational culture not only has a positive influence, but is also an important factor in improving teacher performance, which in turn can support improving the quality of teaching and student learning outcomes. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study is entitled the influence of the use of active learning models with the strategy Give the Money on the social studies learning achievement of SMPN 1 Seunagan students. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of the use of active learning models with the strategy Give the Money on the social studies learning achievement of SMPN 1 Seunagan students. This study uses a quantitative approach and experimental research type. The population in this study were all grade VII students and the sample consisted of 42 students in the experimental and control classes. The data collection technique in the study was carried out by giving a test. Based on the results of the study, it is known that (1) in terms of homogeneity, the two classes used as samples are homogeneous. This result can be seen from the results of the hypothesis test with the calculation results of F count = 1.01 and F table = 2.12, so the data for both classes is homogeneous or comes from the same population, (2) for the normality test of the experimental class, X2 count = 1.05 and X2 table = 5.99 were obtained and the normality test of the control class was X2 count = 0.09 and x2 table = 5.99, so it can be said that the control class data is normally distributed, (3) the results of the hypothesis test using the t-test and obtained t count = 2.70 and the t table value at the significance level α = 0.05 (one-sided test) with dk = 40 is 1.68 accept Ha if t count > t table, where t count = 2.70 and t table = 1.68 or 2.70 > 1.68 then Ha is accepted. The research hypothesis stating that the learning outcomes of students taught using the active learning model with the Give the Money strategy are better than the learning outcomes of students taught using the conventional learning model can be accepted as true or in other words the research hypothesis is accepted.
