Abstract

The rapid development of the cyber media industry demands communication students not only to master classroom theories but also to possess adaptive practical competencies tailored to the digital ecosystem. The Impactful Campus Internship Program serves as a crucial bridge aligning industry requirements with students' academic capacities. This study aims to analyze the enhancement of students' communication competence through the implementation of the Impactful Campus Internship at the Digital Editorial Division of SUMEKS.CO, specifically across interpersonal, professional, and multimedia-based mass communication dimensions. ​This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through participatory observation during the 16-week internship period (February–June 2026), semi-structured interviews with field supervisors, and documentation of the entire work portfolio produced within the digital editorial division. Data validity was ensured through source and method triangulation techniques. The conceptual framework used to examine this phenomenon includes David A. Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory, Contemporary Journalism Theory, and Digital Media Theory. ​The results of the study indicated that internship activities in the Digital Editorial Division of SUMEKS.CO successfully facilitated a significant increase in students' communication competence through direct involvement in multimedia content production. Throughout the internship period, the student successfully produced a tangible portfolio consisting of 4 creative video contents for Instagram Reels and wrote as well as published dozens of digital journalistic articles across various main rubrics, including Game, Local News, Automotive, Lifestyle, Health, and Business. Through the experiential learning cycle (concrete experience, reflective observation, abstract conceptualization, and active experimentation), the student not only mastered cyber newsroom workflows and journalistic regulations but also improved interpersonal skills, teamwork, copywriting techniques, adaptation to video editing technologies, and basic Search Engine Optimization (SEO) understanding. This study concludes that the Impactful Campus Internship program at the Digital Editorial Division of SUMEKS.CO is highly effective in transforming students' theoretical knowledge into ready-to-use practical-professional competencies in the modern media industry.

Abstract

Cybersecurity threats continue to increase in both number and complexity, necessitating a detection system capable of accurately and efficiently identifying malicious activity. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the Random Forest algorithm compared to the Isolation Forest in detecting cybersecurity threats by utilizing the Cybersecurity Threat Detection Logs Dataset. Experiments were conducted with three variations of data size: 100,000, 200,000, and 500,000 to assess the impact of data scale on model performance. The preprocessing process included feature selection, categorical data encoding, and the division of training and testing data using a stratified sampling technique. Model evaluation was performed using precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy metrics based on a weighted average due to class imbalance in the dataset. The study findings revealed that Random Forest provided more stable and superior performance with precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy values reaching 0.85 in all test scenarios. On the other hand, Isolation Forest showed good effectiveness in detecting anomalies, but also produced a higher false positive rate. Therefore, Random Forest is more suitable to be used as the main model for labeled cyber threat detection, while Isolation Forest can serve as a supporting system for anomaly detection.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the handling process of seafood raw materials at the Butcher Section of Aerofood ACS Surabaya, which includes preparation, cutting, and storage. Proper seafood handling is crucial in the airline catering industry as it directly relates to quality, safety, and food suitability. This study adopts a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods through direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results show that the preparation process utilizes thawing in a thawing room at 5–10°C for 10–12 hours until the product temperature reaches ≤8°C, along with the implementation of hygiene through re-washing of seafood. The cutting process uses large/small knives and blue cutting boards with chlorin sanitation at 50–100 ppm, and all seafood must be thawed beforehand. For storage, a complete labeling system with different colors each day is applied for FIFO implementation, with storage in chiller (0–5°C) at 1×24 hours shelf life and freezer (-18°C) with approximately 6 months shelf life. However, this study also identifies several problems that need to be addressed, such as material loss during thawing of 15–50% The drip loss varies among seafood types, with milkfish showing approximately 5%, shellfish around 5%, shrimp around 5%, dory fish about 10–15%, and squid reaching up to 50% and suboptimal uniformity of seafood weight and size. This study provides recommendations for improving operational standards in seafood handling at the Butcher Section.

Abstract

This study aims to develop functional food innovations of cheesecake products based on local ingredients using soursop leaf extract (Annona muricata L.), analyze the effect of different concentrations on hedonic quality, and determine the chemical content of selected final products. The method used was a pure experiment with a single factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of three treatments of soursop leaf extract concentrations, namely T1 (3 ml / 0.5%), T2 (6 ml / 1.0%), and T3 (9 ml / 1.5%) of a total dough of 634 grams, followed by a hedonic test using a 5-point preference scale involving 35 panelists. The results of statistical analysis using the One-Way ANOVA test and Duncan's further test showed that differences in extract concentrations had a significant effect on color, aroma, texture, and taste parameters (p < 0.05), but did not significantly affect overall preference. The best formulation was obtained in treatment T2 (6 ml) with the highest overall preference score (4.26) and the characteristics of an even bright green color (4.03), aroma (3.77), soft-compact texture (4.09), and savory-fresh taste (4.06). The results of the proximate analysis of the best formula (T2) showed nutritional content in the form of energy of 308.88 kcal/100g, ash content of 1.50%, carbohydrate 31.21%, protein 5.33%, fat 18.08%, and water content of 43.88%. This study concluded that the innovation of cheesecake products with the addition of soursop leaf extract of 6 ml has great potential to be accepted by the wider public and has a proportional macronutrient value profile.

Abstract

Sayuran merupakan komoditas musiman yang penting namun sering mengalami ketidakstabilan harga, yang dapat merugikan petani dan menyulitkan konsumen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengimplementasikan algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) dalam memprediksi harga sayuran di pasar tradisional guna memberikan referensi bagi para pemangku kepentingan. Dataset yang digunakan mencakup data historis harga dan faktor yang mempengaruhinya seperti curah hujan atau luas panen. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan tingkat akurasi yang tinggi dalam memprediksi fluktuasi harga, serupa dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang mencapai akurasi hingga 91,67% untuk komoditas tertentu. Implementasi ini penting untuk membantu stabilitas pasar dan ketahanan pangan nasional

Abstract

Marriage is a noble Islamic institution; this nobility stems from the fact that in marriage, a husband does not merely make a promise to his wife and her guardian, and vice versa, but in essence, they are making a promise to their Lord (mitsaqan ghalizan). It is this strong and noble covenant that compels a husband to fulfill his obligations as a husband toward his wife’s rights, so that, by extension, the husband is also entitled to his rights regarding what is required of his wife. In the Qur’an, Allah has established the rights and obligations of husbands and wives in marriage, one of which pertains to the financial support (nafkah) that a husband is obligated to provide for his wife. In essence, financial support is one of the obligations a husband must fulfill toward his wife; likewise, the wife is obligated to obey and be submissive to her husband because she has received her right from him in the form of financial support. However, issues and debates arise when the wife works to earn an income and sometimes even contributes to providing for the family’s financial needs. Therefore, in this article, the author aims to explain the rights and obligations of husbands and wives regarding spousal support for working spouses from the perspective of the four schools of Islamic jurisprudence. The purpose of this article is to ensure that every Muslim who intends to marry or is already married understands the rights and obligations Allah has established for them within the household, so that their marriage may be one that pleases God, bringing peace and mutual love to the relationship. The method used by the author in writing this article is the descriptive qualitative method, which involves explaining and elaborating in depth and objectively on the rights and obligations of husbands and wives regarding spousal support for working spouses according to the four schools of Islamic jurisprudence. The author concludes, based on the opinions of the imams of these schools, that spousal support is an absolute obligation of the husband toward his wife.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the optimization of the VENUS Application and its impact on time efficiency, cost efficiency, and the effectiveness of administrative processes The research was conducted at PT Pertamina International Shipping during the researcher’s shore-based internship (PRADA) from July 2024 to July 2025. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using primary data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that the implementation of the VENUS Application has been effective and optimal. The application has improved time efficiency, reduced administrative and transportation costs, and enhanced the effectiveness of the document verification process. In addition, it facilitates digital document management and monitoring. Nevertheless, further user training, system socialization, and stronger internet network support are required to maximize the application’s effectiveness.

Abstract

. This study aimed to determine the effect of using a modified air filter set consisting of a stainless steel air filter and a slim filter box on the power, torque, and fuel consumption efficiency of a 2019 Honda Beat motorcycle. The study was motivated by the widespread use of aftermarket air filters that are claimed to improve engine performance and fuel efficiency; however, these claims have not been sufficiently supported by measurable experimental data.This research employed an experimental method using a Posttest-Only Control Design. Testing was conducted on a 2019 Honda Beat motorcycle using a chassis dynamometer to measure engine power and torque, while fuel consumption was measured using a burette at engine speeds ranging from 1,700 to 4,000 rpm over a 90-second testing period. The collected data were analyzed using mean calculations and percentage increases or decreases in the test results.The results showed that the modified air filter set increased the average engine power by 15.57%, with improvements of 6.17% at 6,000 rpm, 21.74% at 7,800 rpm, and 18.79% at 9,300 rpm. Engine torque also increased by an average of 15.50%, consisting of 6.34% at 6,000 rpm, 21.59% at 7,800 rpm, and 18.56% at 9,300 rpm. In addition, the modified air filter set reduced average fuel consumption by 5.48%, with the greatest reduction of 8.50% recorded at 4,000 rpm. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that the use of a modified air filter set, consisting of a stainless steel air filter and a slim filter box, has a positive effect on the performance of the 2019 Honda Beat motorcycle by increasing engine power and torque while improving fuel consumption efficiency.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan gangguan metabolik jangka panjang yang ditandai oleh meningkatnya kadar glukosa darah akibat ketidakseimbangan produksi maupun pemanfaatan hormon insulin dalam tubuh. Tingginya angka kejadian diabetes yang terus mengalami peningkatan menegaskan perlunya pendekatan prediksi yang mampu mendukung upaya deteksi dini secara lebih akurat. Penelitian ini mengkaji penerapan algoritma K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) sebagai metode pembelajaran terawasi untuk melakukan klasifikasi risiko diabetes berdasarkan data medis pasien. Data yang digunakan bersumber dari dataset terbuka Kaggle dengan jumlah 768 sampel yang mencakup beberapa atribut klinis, antara lain kadar glukosa, tekanan darah, indeks massa tubuh, insulin, serta usia. Tahapan penelitian meliputi pengolahan awal data, pemisahan data latih dan data uji, serta proses klasifikasi menggunakan algoritma KNN dengan perhitungan jarak Euclidean. Kinerja model dievaluasi menggunakan parameter akurasi, presisi, recall, dan F1-score. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa model mampu mencapai tingkat akurasi sebesar 69%, dengan nilai presisi 68%, recall 69%, dan F1-score 68%. Capaian tersebut menunjukkan bahwa algoritma KNN dapat mengidentifikasi pola kedekatan antar data medis secara cukup efektif. Oleh karena itu, algoritma ini berpotensi dikembangkan sebagai sistem pendukung keputusan untuk membantu proses identifikasi dini penyakit diabetes

Abstract

Pemberian obat oral konvensional seringkali menghadirkan masalah waktu tinggal lambung yang singkat, yang mengurangi bioavailabilitas obat. Sistem penghantaran obat mengambang (FDDS) adalah pendekatan gastroretentif utama yang dikembangkan untuk memperpanjang waktu tinggal lambung obat. Studi ini bertujuan untuk meninjau temuan ilmiah terkait sistem FDDS, memetakan kombinasi polimer, agen pengapung, dan parameter evaluasi fisik terkini. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur sistematis (SLR) mengikuti pedoman PRISMA 2020, menganalisis 30 artikel dari basis data Scopus, ScienceDirect, PubMed, dan Google Scholar untuk periode 2021–2026. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan sistem non-effervescent (53,3%) sedikit lebih dominan daripada sistem effervescent (46,7%). Hidroksipropil metilselulosa (HPMC) diidentifikasi sebagai polimer utama yang paling sering digunakan (70%), diikuti oleh natrium alginat sebesar 16,7%. Kedua mekanisme flotasi tersebut telah terbukti menghasilkan waktu tunda flotasi (FLT) yang cepat dan waktu flotasi total (TFT) yang lebih lama. Kesimpulannya, pemilihan mekanisme flotasi dan jenis polimer yang tepat sangat penting untuk keberhasilan pengembangan sistem penghantaran obat yang efektif dan berkelanjutan
