Abstract

This study aims to determine how teachers apply the Role-Playing learning model for teaching speaking of the eight grade students at SMP Muhammadiyah 8 Tanggulangin. In addition, the study also scrutinizes how students perceive if this method is applied in speaking class. Some of the eighth graders still do not master English. The situation is due to several factors from students, such as students' lack of confidence to speak English and lack of vocabulary knowledge, so students feel insecure when they want to speak English. Most of them need help speaking a foreign language since it differs from their everyday language. They need to be more confident in speaking English. In this study, the researchers used qualitative methods to describe the results of their research using observations and interviews. This research shows that teaching speaking with the role-playing model is very effective as a medium for teaching and learning English. Using the roleplaying model, students become more motivated and active in class.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui adakah Hubungan Pemahaman Konsep dengan Kemampuan Matematika Siswa Kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 24 Surabaya. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian Kuantitatif dan menggunakan Teknik korelasi bivariate pearson. Subjek penelitian ini ialah siswa kelas IV di SD Muhammadiyah 24 Surabaya. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2020. Dari penelitian ini ditemukan hasil yaitu terdapat hubungan antara pemahaman konsep dengan kemampuan matematika siswa kelas IV SD Muhammadiyah 24 Surabaya. Hasil tersebut bisa dibuktikan dengan perolehan perhitungan data nilai signifikasi 0,501 atau (0,501 >0,05), serta diperoleh hasil rhitung0,11 yang diketahui lebih besar dari rtabel 0,369 dengan taraf signifikasi 5% atau 0,05.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan metode story telling terhadap maharah al- kalam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pre-eksperimental design dengan one group pre test-post test design. Instrument penelitian ini berupa tes, penelitian awal dilakukan pre-test kemudian dilakukan treatment dan kegiatan akhir dilakukan post-test. Pada penelitian ini ditemui adanya peningkatan nilai maksimum siswa dari 21 menjadi 25. Dan diperoleh nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,000 < 0,05 dengan nilai correlation sebesar 0,659 atau 65,9%. Dan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa metode storytelling efektif meningkatkan maharah al-kalam.

Abstract

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the government stipulated the PPKM agenda that limit the social interaction in public place, including school. Since then, the teaching and learning process was conducted through online learning. this research aims to know the students' perception toward the use of online learning in students’ speaking skills at Junior High School Al-Fattah Buduran Sidoarjo. In this research, the researcher focuses on the development of speaking skills in students through online learning during the pandemic. This research is a descriptive qualitative method by emphasizes a variety of approaches and takes an interpretive and naturalistic approach to its subject. Based on the research result, it was found that the implementation of online media for English speaking skill is considered less efficient for students since they are unable to practice their speaking ability with their teachers or their classmates. In addition, the most frequent obstacles faced by students in online learning is the poor signal and connection in their home or the teachers’ home that caused students experience the difficulties in understanding the lesson.

Abstract

Scratch dalam pembelajaran pemrograman memiliki bahasa pemrograman yang sederhana yang dapat meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir komputasional siswa. Melihat perkembangan digital dan kebutuhan pendidikan saat ini dan di masa depan, Scratch memiliki peran yang cukup baik dalam aplikasinya di sekolah dasar sebagai pelopor menuju literasi digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan aplikasi Scratch dalam pembelajaran pemrograman dengan panduan penggunaan Scratch sebagai aplikasi pendukung pembelajaran pemrograman. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif pada siswa kelas VI SD Plus Muhammadiyah Brawijaya Kota Mojokerto. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan melalui: (1) wawancara; (2) observasi; dan (3) dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi kemudian dianalisis menggunakan teknik triangulasi data dengan merujuk pada konsep Miles dan Huberman. Analisis pengalaman pengguna dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Model Penerimaan Teknologi (TAM) sebagai panduan penggunaan Scratch sebagai aplikasi pendukung pembelajaran pemrograman.
