Abstract

Children with multiple disabilities experience more than one type of developmental impairment that interacts and affects their communication, learning, and social participation. However, they are often understood through a deficit-based perspective, which limits recognition of their experiences and potential. This study aims to examine the perspectives of children with multiple disabilities through a systematic review of previous research. A qualitative descriptive literature review was conducted by analyzing 20 relevant journal articles from both national and international sources. Data were examined using thematic analysis to identify common patterns and shifts in perspectives. The findings indicate a shift from a limitation-focused approach to a more humanistic, contextual understanding. Children with multiple disabilities are recognized as active individuals with unique ways of communicating and interacting with their environment, even in the absence of verbal language. Responsive and inclusive environments, particularly the roles of families and educators, are essential in supporting children’s development and quality of life.

Abstract

Children with multiple disabilities often experience communication difficulties due to a combination of sensory, physical, and cognitive barriers that affect their ability to interact socially. This article examines communication intervention models and strategies for children with multiple barriers through a literature review. The study was conducted on 20 scientific articles published over the last five years, obtained from various relevant sources. Then analyzed using content analysis. The results of the study show that effective communication interventions include direct communication approaches grounded in empathy, the development of intervention models through research and development (R&D) methods, and the use of Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). Social environmental support, the roles of teachers and families, and adapting interventions to the child's individual characteristics are important factors in successful communication. Therefore, communication interventions need to be designed adaptively and holistically to support communication development and quality of life for children with multiple barriers.

Abstract

This study ahims to develop and substantiate an effective methodology for enhancing grammatical competence of higher-grade students through a communicative approach in English laguage teaching. The research employs a qualitative descriptive and experimental design, utilizing classroom observation, comparative-logical analysis, and experimental testing to examine the effectiveness of communicative grammar instruction. Communicative tasks, inductive and deductive techniques, and interaction-based activities were implemented during the instructional process. The results indicate that integrating grammar instruction into meaningful communicative contexts significantly improves students’ grammatical accuracy, fluency, and ability to apply grammatical structures in oral and written communication. The findings further reveal that the use of role plays, information-gap activities, problem-solving tasks, and technology-supported learning enhances grammatical awareness and learner autonomy. The study concludes that the communicative approach provides an effective and pedagogically sound framework for developing grammatical competence among higher-grade students.

Abstract

This article examines the translation of psycholinguistic features in Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. The research explores how cognitive processes, emotional subtleties, character idiolects, irony, and socio-pragmatic norms embedded in the original text are transferred into another language. Particular attention is paid to free indirect discourse, internal monologue, politeness strategies, gendered linguistic behavior, and Regency-era cultural conventions. Through qualitative textual analysis grounded in translation theory and psycholinguistics, the article identifies key challenges and evaluates strategies such as modulation, explicitation, stylistic compensation, and pragmatic adaptation. The findings demonstrate that translating Austen requires not only linguistic accuracy but also sensitivity to psychological depth and narrative voice.

Abstract

This article analyzes the issues of optimal design of the lining for a medium-frequency induction furnace. One of the main problems considered is the wear of the lining, its service life, and the change in its thermal resistance during the melting of ferrous metals and their alloys in induction furnaces. The study examines the selection of optimal lining thickness, the proper organization of gunning (repair) processes, and their impact on production efficiency. In addition, a number of assumptions are introduced for the operational model of the process, and approaches aimed at improving the performance of the lining are proposed. As a result, the importance of lining parameters and maintenance strategies in ensuring the optimal operating conditions of the furnace is substantiated
