Abstract

Corn is a vital food commodity that plays a significant role in the Indonesian economy and is a staple food in several regions. This research is of a Qualitative Descriptive nature. The location of this study is Dusun Romleher Selatan, Desa Wonreli, Kecamatan Pulau – Pulau Terselatan. The population in this study consists of 20 individuals, while the sample selected randomly includes 10 individuals. Data collection techniques employed are observation, interviews, and documentary studies. Once the research data is gathered, it will be analyzed using the data analysis techniques chosen by the researcher. The research results indicate that wet milling (soaking) yields more flour than dry milling (without soaking). However, the nutritional content of dry-milled flour is higher. Mechanically processing corn into flour using a degerminator and a flour mill produces a wonderful flour texture.

Abstract

Cassava is considered the third staple food source after rice and corn. The purpose of this research is to investigate the processing of cassava in improving family economics. This study is descriptive and conducted in one month in Wailapia Hamlet, West Leihitu District, Central Maluku Regency. The sample for this research consists of 20 farmers who specialize in cultivating cassava. The study results show that cassava processing is one of the traditional activities in Wailapia Hamlet, which holds economic value through conventional processing methods. The income of the community members working as cassava farmers is substantial, enabling them to fulfill their daily needs, including clothing, food, shelter, education, and healthcare.

Abstract

This research was conducted to assess the availability of road networks in Dusun Wailapia and its impact on the mobility and activities of the community. The study identified that although road networks exist, they need to be improved, causing constraints in daily activities, especially for commuting to schools and conducting inter-village trading. The findings revealed that the existing number of transportation facilities needs to be increased to support community mobility, resulting in many still relying on private vehicles. The length of the inter-village road is approximately 1000 meters with a road width of about 3 meters, but the poor road condition hinders accessibility. The research developed several alternative strategies, including enhancing government and community collaboration, repairing and asphalting roads, and expanding public transportation facilities. The study aims to improve the quality of road networks, thereby facilitating mobility and enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Dusun Wailapia, as well as supporting economic growth and the tourism sector in the region.

potential to improve the economy and fulfill the livelihood needs of the local community. However, this sector faces several obstacles, such as limited human resources, simple equipment, and lower product quality and quantity compared to industry standards. Nevertheless, aluminum artisans can fulfill their families' clothing, food, and housing needs, as well as provide attention to education and healthcare for family members. Based on the findings of this research, it can be concluded that the household aluminum craft industry plays a significant role in improving the welfare of households in Ohoitahit Village. Increased government and relevant party support is expected to assist artisans, thus enabling this sector to contribute significantly to the local economy and community welfare.

Abstract

In the era of global economic dynamics, geographical factors have proven to be crucial variables that shape a region's identity and distinct characteristics. This article aims to elucidate the fundamental impacts of geographical factors on regional income. This research is a literature review conducted by analyzing and evaluating relevant written sources concerning the studied topic or issue. The analysis results reveal that complex topography and extreme climatic conditions can create unique economic opportunities and challenges within a region. The interplay of these geographical factors forms a distinct narrative about the economic development of a region. Abundant natural resources offer significant income potential, yet prudent management is necessary for long-term economic sustainability. Coastal regions provide essential trade and tourism opportunities, and marine resources become valuable assets in boosting coastal region income. However, wise protection and management are required to avoid negative impacts. Technology and its access play a crucial role in economic growth

Abstract

The dynamic and rapidly changing development of modern society has transformed the paradigm of foster care from traditional to more inclusive, flexible, and child-centered approaches. This paper discusses this shift, identifies influencing factors, and outlines its impacts and implications within society. The effects of urbanization, changing work patterns, and shifts in societal values on the role of foster caregivers are elaborated in detail. The traditional paradigm of foster care, involving nuclear families and gender roles, is also analyzed. Subsequently, the transition towards a future paradigm that is more inclusive, flexible, and child-centered is presented, emphasizing the roles of technology, education, and collaboration between biological parents and extended families. Despite the challenges and obstacles in adopting this new paradigm, community collaboration in supporting education and understanding, along with real-world examples of successful community transitions, indicate positive potential in nurturing foster children. In conclusion, this new paradigm necessitates improved understanding, close collaboration, education, and skill development to create an environment that supports the academic, social, and emotional growth of foster children in an ever-evolving society

Abstract

Buru Island exhibits a high diversity of rock formations and types, with varying topography ranging from lowlands along the coastal regions, reef terraces, to high hill regions with steep to very steep slopes, which dominate the topography of Buru Island. The complex and diverse geological conditions, encompassing both the constituent rock compositions and structures, indicate that Buru Island holds a significant potential for geological and mineral resources. The aim of this research is to understand the petrographic characteristics, rock geochemistry, and potential for metallic minerals at the research site. The research consists of three stages: preparation, field investigation, and laboratory analysis. The analysis methods include Petrographic Rock Analysis and Rock Geochemical Analysis. Rock Geochemical Analysis involves chemical examination of rock samples (selected based on petrographic analysis results) to determine the major elemental (metal) content within the Wahlua formation rocks. This includes Au, Hg, As, Ba, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, La, Mn, Ni, Pb, Sr, and Zn. The analysis of major elemental geochemistry will be conducted using AAS and ICP OES methods at the INTERTEK Laboratory (Jakarta). The research results reveal that the metal Au (gold) exhibits the highest concentration in quartz rock samples at the Ketel Katin Lahin location (Pagar Zn), with a content of 38,728 ppm or 38.728 g Au/ton of material (rock), and the lowest concentration of 6,005 ppm at the Ketel Kamang Lahim location, equivalent to 4,015 g Au/ton of material (rock).
