Abstract

The Government of Garut Regency has formulated a diagram of working relationships between organizational units as an to strengthen bureaucratic reform. The formulation of the working relationship can be realized through the preparation of a business process map of government agencies. This is also supported by the Regulation of the Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Regulation Number 19 of 2018 concerning the Preparation of Government Agency Business Process Maps. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a thorough exploration of the preparation of the Garut Regency Government business process map. Data was obtained through interviews with the Organizational Section of the Regional Secretariat of Garut Regency, which is authorized in the preparation of documents and is able to explain the flow of business process maps and their details. The results of the research obtained in the form of a tabulation model of the preparation of the Garut Regency Government business process map document as a reference in carrying out community service activities. Through business process mapping in Government Agencies, it can make it easier for ASN to map activities and the body in charge or responsible for realizing the vision and mission that has been formulated.

Abstract

The Indonesian government has designated halal certification as a key factor in enhancing the competitiveness of local products and facilitating the expansion of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the food sector. Furthermore, the government has underscored that starting in 2024, products circulating in the community that are not halal-certificated will face sanctions in accordance with the provisions outlined in Presidential Regulation No. 39 of 2021. In response to this, the government initiated the SEHATI (Gratis Halal Certificate) program, with a quota of one million certificates made available throughout the year. The implementation of Observation Experience, particularly in the Andir Subdistrict, Baleendah District, Bandung Regency, encompasses one of the programs aimed at assisting UMKM practitioners in obtaining halal certification for their products. This program is undertaken to maximize the fulfillment of the SEHATI program quota provided by the government and to assist UMKM practitioners who may lack understanding of the halal certification registration process. It also serves as an educational effort, specifically targeting UMKM practitioners, to raise awareness about the importance of halal certification for marketed products. The execution of this program is futher guided by LP3H (Institution for Assisting the Halal Product Process) to ensure that the procedures for registering halal certificated products align with established standards and to gain trust from the surrounding community, especially UMKM practitioners, that this program is government-based and not fraudulent.

Abstract

The ongoing nutritional issue and challenge for Indonesia today is stunting. Stunting refers to the condition of malnutrition in toddlers which results in inhibited growth, thereby preventing the child from reaching optimal growth and development, as well as experiencing a decrease in cognitive abilities. Generally, stunting is caused by prolonged insufficient nutrient intake, as well as inadequate caregiving from pregnancy to the first 1000 days after birth. Despite the government implementing policies to reduce the stunting rate, the decrease in stunting rates in Indonesia is still far from the set target. In 2012, the Indonesian government participated in the First 1000 Days of Life Movement aimed at improving the quality of life for Indonesian children in the future by focusing on the first 1000 days of a child's life. This research aims to determine the Influence of HPK 1000 Education Through Audio-Visual Media on the Knowledge of Pregnant Women in Cikakak Village, Wangon II Health Center. This study used pre-experimental research, with a one-group pretest-posttest design evaluation through pretest-posttest. The research sample consisted of 23 pregnant women who were given treatment in the form of 1000 HPK socialization using audio-visual media. The Wilcoxon test results obtained a p-value (0.000) no more than 0.05 indicating that there is a difference in knowledge about 1000 HPK in pregnant women before and after being given educational intervention using audio-visual media. A recommendation that can be given is that in health promotion programs, especially 1000 HPK, there needs to be the use of audio-visual media.

Abstract

Activated charcoal is becoming more important as Indonesia's industrial sector expands. To meet this growing need, researchers and entrepreneurs in the activated charcoal industry must strike a balance between producing enough high-quality charcoal and meeting the growing demand for it. In order to find out how well activated coconut shell charcoal adsorbs tofu liquid waste, this research set out to do just that. Carbonation, activation, and data analysis were the procedures employed. Tofu liquid waste was effectively adsorbed using activated coconut shell charcoal with NaOH activator, according to the findings. An rise in the pH of the tofu liquid waste which was 4 before treatment and 6 after indicates this. The use of adsorbents when activated charcoal is mixed in an acid group solution is able to release H+ causing a decrease in pH. There was a difference in the color and scent markers both before and after the therapy. With 25% NaOH, the COD level is 643 mg/L, with 75% NaOH bringing it down to 365 mg/L. Similarly, with 25% NaOH, the BOD level is 300 mg/L, with 75% NaOH bringing it down to 250 mg/L. Lastly, with 25% NaOH, the TSS level is 116 mg/L, with 75% NaOH bringing it down to 102 mg/L. This demonstrates that the activated carbon may remove contaminants from the tofu liquid byproducts.

Abstract

Inclusive and sustainable economic development has always been the main development goal of every region. Based on this, this research tries to analyze the effect of economic growth on environmental degradation by focusing on the amount of waste generation at the West Java Province during the 2013-2022 period. The research was carried out using quantitative methods using secondary data and data analysis using panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model. Based on the results of the analysis, it showed that there is no evidence of the existence of the EKC curve in research on waste generation in West Java, GRDP per Capita has a positive but not significant effect on waste generation, while GDP per Capita squared has a negative and significant effect on waste generation. Apart from that, education level has a negative but not significant effect, the Gini ratio has a positive but not significant effect, while population density and number of industries have a negative and significant effect. Based on these findings, policies can be recommended in the form of support for the leading waste management sector in West Java, provision of waste management facilities in densely populated areas, and waste management education for the community.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the implementation of good governance in developing countries through the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. Good governance, which includes transparency, accountability, community participation, and political stability, is a key element in creating effective and competitive governance. The results of the review show that the implementation of good governance in developing countries still faces various challenges, such as weak law enforcement, high levels of corruption, and lack of technological infrastructure and community participation. However, several countries, such as Rwanda, Brazil, and Botswana, have shown success in implementing innovative governance reforms through the use of digital technology and e-governance, fiscal decentralization, and the strengthening of anti-corruption institutions. This research also highlights the importance of political stability in supporting the implementation of effective governance. Countries with high political stability tend to be more successful in implementing governance reforms than countries with political instability. This study provides recommendations to strengthen governance in developing countries through increased transparency, accountability, and use of technology, as well as strengthening supervisory institutions and public participation. In addition, a strong political commitment is needed to ensure the sustainability of governance reforms in these countries.

Abstract

Kaffir lime peel (Citrus hystrix) is often discarded after extracting its juice, turning it into waste that is not utilized. In fact, the antibacterial properties in kaffir lime peel are quite good. The purpose of this research is to determine the effectiveness of using kaffir lime peel as a natural preservative for fish compared to ice, betel leaves, kaffir lime leaves, lime leaves, sweet orange leaves, lime peel, and sweet orange peel. Data collection was done using sensory tests, TVB-N tests, and Aerobic ALT tests. Data analysis was carried out using comparative descriptive analysis, ANOVA tests, and BNT/LSD tests. The use of kaffir lime peel as a fish preservative involved cutting the lime peel into small pieces, drying, and grinding it into powder. The effectiveness of kaffir lime peel in preserving fish was significantly better than ice or other natural materials such as betel leaves, kaffir lime leaves, lime leaves, sweet orange leaves, lime peel, and sweet orange peel. ANOVA test analysis showed a p-value is less than 0.05, concluding that there is a significant effect of using kaffir lime peel as a fish preservative. Based on the BNT test analysis, there is a significant difference between the use of kaffir lime peel compared to ice and other natural preservatives. The effect of kaffir lime peel on maintaining fish texture was 41.12%, eye clarity was 72.79%, gill color was 13.83%, fish scale color was 66.76%, and odor (aroma) was 66.73%. The results of the TVB-N test showed a value of 232.58 mg per 100 grams, which was better than ice with a TVB-N value of 262 mg per 100 grams. Meanwhile, the microbiological results using the Aerobic ALT test showed a value of 4.021 log cfu per gram, much better than ice, which had an Aerobic ALT value of 4.146 log cfu per gram. Thus, the use of kaffir lime peel is the most effective in preserving fish compared to ice and other natural materials.
