Abstract

Universities are designed to prepare graduates who are ready to enter the workforce and are able to develop a professional attitude. Educational institutions such as the University need a form of decisions in determining the right concentration for students, so that the learning process can be achieved well. The decision is very influential on the process of handling the choice of alternative concentration, choosing an appropriate concentration of interest will also have an impact on the research focus for the final assignment of students. This research develops student concentration selection system in Electrical. Currently the concentration determination system is based only on academic assessment alone, regardless of student interest, so that it can impact on student learning outcomes. The system was developed by combining academic judgment and interest inventory with three criteria, ie, interest tests using interest inventory, prerequisite concentration course grades, and GPA. The system is built using an intelligent system model that is Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making (FMADM), which helps the Department in the selection process and helps the process of career guidance on students. With this selection system, the Department can be provide the most suitable concentration decisions with interest in student.

Abstract

Gold is one of the people's preferred forms of investment and is considered the safest (save -heaven). Gold risk which is considered small is the main attraction because in general Indonesian people are not yet familiar with capital market investments such as stocks and mutual funds. But the price of gold is very volatile as for the factors that affect the fluctuations of gold are consumption demand, volatility and market uncertainty, protection of low-interest rates, and the US dollar. Predicting the movement of the gold price and knowing where the direction of the exchange rate moves and determining the price of gold up or down cannot be done accurately and consistently. For this reason, in reducing the risk of loss, an application is needed to predict gold prices using the Fuzzy Time Series Chen algorithm using MATLAB software. In this study to obtain prediction results and comparison charts using actual data and prediction data for the 2015-2017 gold price. From the calculation results obtained by the prediction results with the Fuzzy Time Series method with the Chen algorithm where the average difference between the actual data and prediction data is not more than Rp. 2,850, - where predictions using the Fuzzy Time Series method Chen's algorithm is sufficient to use 1 data to predict the second data which makes this method accurate in predicting the price of gold.

Abstract

Directorate General of Institutional Affairs of Science, Technology and Higher Education in performing tasks and institutional functions requires the availability of data quickly and accurately. Along with the passage of time, the need for information systems of university data management is very necessary especially the data of colleges in violation. Currently, the management is manually stored into excel files which of course have a lot of limitations. This practice resulted in problems in the supervision of the process as well as the problems at the college in violation. To overcome these problems, it is required the design of information systems for problematic colleges that can meet existing business processes. This research used the design of requirements information system that meets the existing processing needs. This design employs the Rational Unified Process method, where the design follows the workflow requirements and is done iteratively as much as 3 iterations. The results of the study are the Requirement Artefact Set document that elaborates in detail the needs of the problematic college information system.

Abstract

Nowadays there are lots of Network Monitoring System (NMS) software that are reliable and easy to use, such as CiscoWork, HP-OpenView, and IBM-Tivoli. It is just that the software is quite expensive, because it has classified as a commercial product. Fortunately, availability of NMS products is not limited to commercial, but also many other alternatives, namely products that classified as Free and Open Source Software (FOSS). Unfortunately, most of these FOSS products are not only difficult to implementation both in term of installation and configuration, but also limitations in the number of nodes and types of monitored, including network devices, servers, and applications. The method of selecting FOSS-based NMS software based on the Oyku Alanbay and ISO 7498-4 research methods through the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) approach using the Expert Choice tool. Among GroundWork, Hyperic, Nagios, OpenNMS, and Zenoss, based on the results of this study put Nagios as a fair reliable software for monitoring networks, servers, and applications.

Abstract

Development of information technology (IT) is used to support business sector, including banking. One of them, banking uses IT to improve the quality of service in the form of internet banking and mobile banking. Therefor, the research focused on development of mobile banking system using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology as client authentication and security system. Features on mobile banking system are checking balance information, mutation, electricity bill, a fellow bank transfer and transfers between Bank that has been working with ATM Bersama, as well as payment of electricity bills. System development using JAVA programming language with Android Studio tools, to access server using PHP with MySQL as database management, IdWebHost as hosting services, as well as data output using JSON format. Data collection method is done with interview stage and literature study. Researcher uses system development methods of Rapid Application Development (RAD), while testing using unit testing and user acceptance testing. Result of the study is secure mobile banking system utilizing Near Field Communication technology, PIN, and AES encryption.

Abstract

The development of technology is very important for humans, especially in the field of storage of goods that become a useful and important thing in the world of warehousing. In this study the authors take a case study at PT. Alfa Beauty Cosmetica  who still uses warehouse reports manually. This study aims to facilitate the work of employees of PT. Alfa Beauty Cosmetica. Employees can store in-app items consisting of goods unique code, item name, recording location of goods and recording transactions of goods. Message reminder simulation is if stock will run out using web based Gateway SMS. With stock reminder messages, employees are quicker at updating inventory. This application is expected to accelerate employee work.
