Abstract

The Community Partnership Program (PKM) is about training on the MIG Flux Core Arc Welding method for men of the fatherhood (PKB) Elia Getsemani Paal IV. This activity aims to provide training in non-gas MIG Flux core arc welding methods for men of the father Getsemani Paal IV to open up entrepreneurial opportunities and increase competitiveness when looking for work, The impact of this community partnership program for the men of Elijah Getsemani Paal IV can add participants' insights about work safety in welding work, welding methods, and joining techniques to the non-gas MIG Flux core arc welding method. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to design and create a cooling system on the BV 20 lathe. The method used in this study is the design method by conducting direct design manufacturing based on the condition of the BV 20 lathe and designs by calculating the total head pump and pumping heading. The manufacturing process is carried out starting from the identification of working drawings and identification of components using existing tools or machines, ordering and procuring the market for other components. Abstract

The EMCO Compact 5-PC CNC Lathe engine made in Austria in the laboratory majoring in Mechanical Engineering, Sam Ratulangi University has not been operating due to the use and maintenance of machines that have been lasted for years so that they are not maintained and cannot be operated anymore. In order to be operated again, the machine needs to be repaired and modified. The purpose of this study is the modification of the eretan system in the EMCO Compact 5-PC CNC Lathe by adding a belt transmission system and calibrateing the motor stepper using a computer, so that a more precise product can be produced. Modification of the EMCO Compact 5-Pc CNC Lathe eretan system has been successful. The Modification Process of EMCO Compact 5-Pc CNC Lathe carried out is the replacement of old components with new components and assembling the grade system components based on the CAD image that has been created. Then the machine is connected to a computer/laptop to calibrate and adjust the speed of the stepper motor on the X axis, Y axis, and X axis through the GRBL Controller Software so that the resulting movements are the same as those programmed. Abstract

The electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine at the Mechanical Engineering Laboratory of UNSRAT Manado is used to insert the workpiece to be cut off at this present time, it still used manually or still requires human hands to work out, this makes the cutting process require a longer time, moreover, reducing the efficiency of time. Based on this case, this research conducts sustainable production technology and designs to makes an automatic work material feeding system on an electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. This study aims to design, as well as create a feeding system for automatic work control materials on an electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. The method used in this study is the design method by designing and manufacturing directly, based on the condition of the electro-pneumatic cutting grinding machine. The manufacturing process starts from identifying working drawings and components to be used using existing tools and machines, placing online orders, and using them from the market or other components. Abstract

Clean water is very important in human life. Clean water is a basic need that cannot be separated from the development of human life. In their daily life, humans are very dependent on clean water, its use in the long term makes clean water very difficult to obtain. The scarcity of clean water that is used by the people on a daily basis is also influenced by the factor of contamination of clean water by factory wastes. Clean water is currently something that is difficult for humans to obtain, this makes clean water production very expensive. This research was conducted to produce clean water using a distillation process. Seawater distillation is a process of purifying seawater from its existing content, namely salt. This process is a separation method by heating seawater to produce water vapor, which is then condensed to produce clean water. The seawater distillation process is a physical separation process between water and salt content by evaporating seawater, which then undergoes a condensation process. The process that will be used in this study is the process of adding gravel as an absorber to the production of clean water in the distillation apparatus to be studied. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion, it was found that with the addition of gravel the solar radiation would increase and the production of water condensation would also increase. Abstract

The causes of work accidents can come anytime, anywhere and to anyone. The risk can be fatal or just a minor accident, depending on the level of opportunity. To minimize the number of work accidents, it is necessary to take anticipatory steps from both the workers and the company management. This research focuses on reducing the impact of work accidents by analyzing the risks of hazards that can occur in every job. Researchers research using the HIRARC method for efforts to prevent and reduce the potential for work accidents, avoid and minimize risks that occur appropriately by avoiding and minimizing the risk of work accidents and controlling fiber in order to carry out the activity process so that the process becomes safe. Based on the results of hazard identification, there are 9 sources of danger on the container crane at Container Port of Bitung with 1 hazard risk has a high risk level (H) / High, 6 hazard risks have a high risk Moderate (M) / Medium, and 2 hazard risk has a high risk level Low (L) / Low. Abstract

The structure of the lattice tower is designed to be able to withstand the loads that occur, namely the wind force, and the gravity that occurs in the H-type Darrieus wind turbine. Structural calculations can be carried out by considering all the maximum forces affecting and then analyzing them for each part or structural component. The tower is designed with dimensions t x l x p, namely 2500 mm x 500 mm × 500 mm, 5 angle iron rods, the dimensions of the steel plate are 500 mm long × 500 mm wide × 3 mm thick, with ASTM A36 carbon steel as the material. The stress from the simulation outcomes must be equal to or below the allowable stress value where the allowable stress is 83.3 MPa, the von misses stress is 0.110526 MPa, and the results of the simulation show that the stress value fulfills the design requirements. Angle iron specifications yield with the requirements of ASTM A36 carbon steel with a yield strength (250 MPa). Calculation of checking the von misses stress. Keywords: Tower, Stress, Materials.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Human dependence on energy in this modern era is increasing day by day. Currently, the use of energy from non-renewable sources to meet energy needs is still quite high, namely 71%, while renewable energy is 29% (IEA, 2021). Even though the process of generating energy from non-renewable sources has a negative impact on the environment. Therefore, the utilization of renewable energy sources which are more environmentally friendly, must be maximized. To find out the energy generated from the desained model, a simulation through ANSYS is needed. In the simulation process with ANSYS, an additional program is needed to cover the characteristics of the piezoelectric and use the ACT extension, Piezo and MEMS extension. Based on the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that for modeling rainfall with strong intensity, it is obtained that there is an electrical energy of 0,00024623 volt, a small energy conversion requires a supporting component to be used for household electrical energy. Abstract

The purpose of this research is to get the relationship, predict the relationship and analyze the effect of variations in cutting parameters on the heat of heat that is carried by the gristle on the HERCUS CF 7264 freis machine. This research is an experimental research, namely by conducting tests on the freis machine in the Unsrat Mechanical Engineering Laboratory by varying the cutting parameters in the form of freis machine rotation as an independent variable to obtain the heat that is carried by the slurry as the dependent variable. The results of the analysis of this study are from 12 tests with variations in cutting parameters in the form of freis machine rotation to the heat carried by the graver. It can be seen that the actual relationship is that with the increase in the rotation of the freis machine, the heat carried by the grind increases. The results of simple linear regression analysis obtained the regression line equation y ̂ = 47.75 + 0.095x. This shows the effect of variations in cutting parameters in the form of milling machine rotation on the heat carried by the slurry on the HERCUS 7264 milling machine which predicts that every increase in rotation of 1 rpm, the heat with the down milling feeding direction will increase by 0.095 J/min.
