Abstract

Penghulu is a servant in the religious aspect in the Surakarta Sunanate in particular and in the Archipelago in general. He is someone who serves as a spiritual figure in Kasunanan. Penghulu is interesting to review, considering that currently it is not highly valued. This research on the prince uses the historical method with four stages of research, namely, first, searching for documents, second, criticizing documents, third, carrying out interpretations or interpretations, and fourth, presenting them in written form. In this research it can be concluded that, a penghulu is needed to receive education, which in the process of education in Kasunanan Surakarta is arranged through two madrasah levels, namely, first Madrasah Waran Hoeparanta (Voorbereidende-Afdeeling) which is divided into two parts and taken for 5 years with a minimum age of 15 years. Meanwhile, the second is the Wara Krida-Reh-Wara (Vak-Afdeeling) Madrasah which is taken for 4 years with the condition that students are not yet 25 years old. The penghulu who is part of the Ndalem servant of the Kasunanan Surakarta has two positions, namely, first, the servant of the master of the suranata, who is in charge of reciting prayers and tahlil, as well as serving as porters of port goods and serving incense. Second, Abdi ndalem ngulama anon-anon, who has the task of welcoming the Kasunanan tradition, assisting in the implementation of marriages of the sons and daughters of the ndalem, and as an instructor of Islam in the Surakarta Sunanate. As a royal servant in the Kasunanan Surakarta. The life of the prince is paid by the Surakarta Sunanate. The prince has high charisma, because apart from being a courtier, he is also a role model in the religious aspects of the Kasunanan community and public society, so that in his life, the prince deserves to have a decent and guaranteed life.

Abstract

Pesantren dikenal sebagai pusat pendidikan tradisional yang tetap eksis hingga saat ini. Meski begitu dalam diskursusnya pesantren, mengalami dinamika dalam sistem kurikulumnya, seperti halnya Pesantren Modern Ar Risalah ini. Tujuan dari siset ini untuk mengetahui sejarah berdirinya, dsistem kurikulum pendidikan, serta respon dari dikamika dalam pendidikan di Pesantren Ar Risalah. Riset artikel ini merupakan kajian lapangan, yang dalam metodenya menggunakan metode sejarah dengan adanya empat tahap yakni, heuristic, kritik, interprestasi, dan historiografi. Hasilnya dikatakan bahwa Pondok Pesantren Modern Ar Risalah didirikan oleh seorang tokoh yang bernama K. H. Syaiful Hadi pada tahun 1994 M. atas saran dari gurunya untuk berdakwah di daerah Sumatera Selatan, dikawasan Lubuklinggau menggingat daerah tersebut dulunya merupakan, kawasan perjudian, minum-minuman, maling. Mulanya hanya mengadakan pengajian majelis taklim di musholla, surau. Kemudian mendapat dukungan para jamaah untuk mendirikan pondok pesantren guna mendidik agama Islam bagi anak-anak. Masa awal berdirinya 1994, Pesantren Modern Ar Risalah sistem kurikulumnya sebatas menyelenggarakan program khusus, yakni pengajaran kitab-kitab fiqih, akhlak, hadits, tajwid, tauhid, serta ilmu keislaman. 1998, sistem kurikulumnya terdapat perubahan tambahan pendidikan formal yang menkombinasikan pendidikan pesantren dan nasional. 2007, terjadi perubahan sistem kurikulum dengan menambahkan ekstrakurikuler. Sistem kurikulum pendidikan Pesantren Modern Ar Risalah terdapat beberapa metode pengajar yakni, metode ceramah, metode keteladanan, metode diskusi, metode demontrasi, metode sorogan, serta metode bandongan dan wetonan. Dinamika sistem pendidikan yang ada di Pesantren Modern Ar Risalah dipicu oleh beberapa faktor yakni, pertama pemimpin. Kedua ilmu pengetahuan dan tekhnologi (IPTEK). Dan Ketiga globalisasi.

Abstract

This research analyzes copyrights owned or enjoyed by authors in the era of the Egyptian Mamluk Sultanate (648–923 AH/ 1250–1517 AD). Although the study focuses on the area and era of the Mamluk Sultanate, the idea of the integration of Islamic territories as one unified region (dār al-Islām) makes the results of this study have the potential to be drawn more broadly as a representative sample from various Islamic regions at that time. The main finding obtained from this research is that the massive literacy activities in the era of the Mamluk Sultanate gave rise to various unwritten agreements regarding an author's copyright among writers of that era. The emerging agreements tended to adapt to the conditions and spirit of the time, as the moral rights of writers in that era tended to be given more attention than the economic rights they had. The author's economic rights are almost completely limited to direct sales of the manuscripts he wrote/composed and rewards from their patrons. Meanwhile, copying manuscripts for personal and commercial purposes is done freely, almost without the author's permission. On the other hand, the second right, namely moral rights, whose embodiment is seen in the right of attribution and the right to safeguard the authenticity of manuscript content, seems to be considered more important by writers in this era. This tendency is because of the author's reputation and the potential influence (both in social, political, and religious aspects) that the writer can "enjoy" as an implication for the spread of the works he writes in various Islamic areas.

Abstract

This article examines the myth of shadow puppet performances in the Apitan tradition in Medani Village, Tegowanu District, Grobogan Regency. The aim of this study is to find out the mythical narrative of wayang kulit performances in the Apitan tradition in Medani Village. This research uses historical methods with data collection techniques in the form of interviews and literature studies. The results of the research show that, in the myth of the shadow puppet show, there are two mythical narrative stories, namely the first version, which was long believed by native Medani residents with the belief that it is a myth, the first appeared when they once did not perform the Apitan wayang dhanyang, an angry pagebluk occurred and the second version was only believed by newcomers with mythical beliefs. This arose as a result of the spread of disease outbreaks due to the lack of knowledge among residents regarding hygiene and disease management, resulting in a disaster where many residents died simultaneously. The symbolic function of the Apitan tradition for Medani residents is intended to provide reinforcements to obtain safety for Medani residents from the influence of bad things or spiritual threats. Apart from that, it also increases the self-confidence felt by each Medani resident. And strengthening harmony between Medani residents is the result of a series of developing Apitan traditional events.

Abstract

The Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam was an Islamic kingdom that existed in the 16 th century. Meanwhile in the western region, the Islamic kingdom which was the last caliphate, namely the Ottoman Empire, was at the peak of its glory under the leadership of Sulaiman al-Qanuni. On the other hand, the Portuguese had succeeded in occupying Malacca and became a threat to the Islamic kingdoms in the archipelago, especially Aceh Darussalam, especially because Aceh was close to Malacca which was the main Portuguese base. The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between the Aceh Darussalam kingdom and the Ottoman Turks in fighting the Portuguese. This research includes a literature review, where in the research method stages, the author uses a historical method which has four stages, namely, heuristics, criticism, interpretation and historiography. This related research can result in the discovery that, the arrival of the Portuguese to the archipelago was motivated by trade and pressure on Muslims in the Dutch East Indies. The relationship between the Kingdom of Aceh Darussalam and the Ottoman Turks was based on several things, namely. First, the economy in which the Ottoman Turks at that time wanted to invest in the Dutch East Indies. Second, socio-political, when Aceh was colonized by the Portuguese, Aceh asked for help from the Ottoman Turks to help in the war against the Portuguese colonialists by building a military. The first visible relationship between the Aceh Darussalam kingdom and the Ottoman Turks was during the Aceh expedition against the Batak-Portuguese Alliance in 1539 M. At that time Aceh received assistance from the Turkish, Gujarat and Abbysinia Alliance with additional forces totaling 120 Turkish troops and 200 Malabar troops.

Abstract

Islam Nusantara is a new term in Indonesia. The opposing group views it as a form of Islamic division, and the pro group considers it a strategy for Islamic da'wah with a slogan of moderation and a cultural approach. Islam Nusantara is defined as Islam that is friendly, inclusive, dynamic, and friendly with a diverse cultural, sub-cultural and religious environment. From this meaning, the question arises from this ambiguity: "does the Islam brought by the Prophet not have the characteristics mentioned above, so it needs a discourse on Islam Nusantara? Or did it just happen because of the problem of syncretism and local cultural infiltration? It is a fundamental question that needs to be cleared. This study uses a social and historical approach to analyze the origin, meaning, and purpose of Islam Nusantara from the perspective of Indonesian society. Islam Nusantara is not a new issue. The identity of Islam has been popular since Islamization. The researcher concludes that the terminology of Nusantara Islam has political and theological content. That is the discourse of certain Islamic rulers and organizations dealing with the current epidemic of radicalism and extremism in religion. Originality is the primordial value of Islam that is not bound by time and place; inclusive, dynamic, and moderate. At the same time, the cultural strategy is a dialogue effort between Islam and time and place. Islam Nusantara needed to develop and change according to the demands of the times.

Abstract

Islamic da'wah has a long history since the history of mankind, the prophets and apostles sent by Allah SWT from time to time depict an endless series of Islamic da'wah, many examples (uswah) can be taken from the life of the Prophet Muhammad's da'wah. Because basically he was sent on this earth to regulate the order of humanity so that it is in harmony with the rules of Allah SWT. This character radiated from the noble personality of the Prophet and was reflected clearly in his preaching activities and in the life of society and the state at that time. The purpose of writing this scientific work is to find out how the Prophet Muhammad struggled and how to preach in Mecca and Medina. This research method uses a historical method with four research stages, namely, first, searching for documents, second, criticizing documents, third, interpreting or interpreting, and fourth, presentation in the form of historiography. The results of this research are that there were many ways in which the Prophet preached in the cities of Mecca and Medina so that he could successfully spread, maintain and strengthen the religion of Islam in the people of Mecca and Medina. From his character in preaching, the principles of his preaching were also factors in his success. in preaching. Then, through the Prophet's preaching letters to regional rulers, it had a huge impact on the expansion of the Islamic region.

Abstract

Sendang Batik is a local household industry that is very profitable for the community. Because its appearance can boost the economy of the residents of Sendang Village. This article study aims to look at the dynamics of the batik industry in Sendang Duwur Village, in order to introduce local batik to the national and international level. In this research article, the author uses a descriptive qualitative approach because it is a field study. As for the research method, the author uses a historical method which has four stages in the study, namely, heuristics, criticism, interpretation, and historiography. In this research, the results can be found that the batik tradition began with Sunan Sendang Duwur's wife, namely, Dewi Tilarsih, who created this activity to fill her free time. The Batik industry starts from the homes of each community until the formation of batik industry communities. There is capital, labor, marketing, and the economy of the batik industry. The batik industry in Sendang Duwur Village is profitable for entrepreneurs in the economy. Because before the existence of the batik industry, people only worked as farmers whose economy could only be made for daily needs. With the emergence of the batik industry in Sendang Duwur Village, the people can live well enough to be able to send their children to college. There are various variants and motifs in Sendang Duwur Batik, namely leaves, flowers, whiteness, namkathil, singo kok, milkfish catfish. Apart from motifs or variants, Sendang Duwur batik also has various types of products, namely, Shawl, Jarik, Udeng, Sarong, Batik Shirt and Krudung. The many types of variants and motifs that Sendang Duwur batik has are encouraged by the community itself, as well as from the local government.

Abstract

This research aims to explain the history of Islam and politics in Pakistan. This type of research is descriptive using a qualitative approach. The main sources for this research are books and literature on the history of Islam and political policies in Pakistan. The source analysis process begins by reviewing data obtained from various sources or information. Data collected through documentation and literature study after being read, studied and then analyzed. Next, analyze the text of the document used as a reference in the research, so that keywords and flow are found that explain what is behind a political policy phenomenon. So that in accordance with the objectives to be achieved in this research, the analysis method used is qualitative using relevant sources for the analysis process. Political dynamics in Pakistan are quite high because there were upheavals, crises and military coups that often occurred in the first few years of its formation and in the following years. The incompetence of leaders in managing government has resulted in riots in various regions and ever-changing political movements. During the leadership of Ali Butto, the government system was changed from Islamic to secular, resulting in people being disappointed with Butto's leadership and ending in a military coup. In the subsequent dynamics of Zia Ul-Haq's government, there was development of all aspects of life which could improve government and change to an Islamic ideological system.

Abstract

The spread of Islam in Indonesia is not only limited to religious aspects, but also includes values, norms and cultural practices. Islam brought changes in various aspects of life, such as art, language, architecture and ways of dressing. Each region has its own distinct local culture, and Islam has played a role in integrating these cultural elements into the broader Islamic context. For example, the Javanese art of wayang kulit combines Islamic elements in the performance of Hindu epic stories, creating a unique art form that reflects the integration of Islam and local culture. This research method uses the cultural history method with four research stages, namely, first, searching for documents, second, criticizing documents, third, interpreting or interpreting, and fourth, presentation in the form of historiography. The results of this research reveal how Islam also influences social norms and values in Indonesia. For example, the concepts of gotong royong (collective cooperation) and Musyawarah (consultation) which are an important part of Indonesian culture, are also influenced by Islamic values of social solidarity and consensus in decision making. As well as influencing the style of aspects of art and architecture in Indonesia.
