Abstract

Abstract: Transcendence is one of the prophetic ethics initiated by Kuntowijoyo. Observed from the prophetic-sufistic terminology, transcendence can be interpreted as a consciousness of the godliness, it means that what is beyond the limits of humanity. Prophetic ethics is divided into humanization, liberation and transcendence. Although in this study the problem is only focused on the transcendence dimension. The purpose of this study is to describe the meaning of prophetic ethics contained in the anthology poetry Rahasia Sang Guru Sufi work by Odhy's in terms of transcendence dimensions, to deepen the discussion also presented Sufi diction. The method used is hermeneutics qualitative. Based on the results of research, found Odhy's poems contain dimensions that have transcendent weights especially if viewed from a theological and metaphysical perspective. The poet consistently uses the distinctive Sufistic dictionaries such as parks, birds, ponds, roses, alms, oceans, dhikr, tariqat, makrifat, the teacher, mirrors, drunkenness, wine, death and others. The key poem can be called a transcendent poem (tu'minunabillah) of 44 titles of poetry. Odhy's learning tendencies are always related to Sufi issues.Abstrak: Transendensi merupakan satu di antara etika profetik yang digagas oleh Kuntowijoyo. Ditinjau dari terminologi profetik-sufistik, transenden diartikan kesadaran-kesadaran ketuhanan terhadap makna apa saja yang melampaui batas kemanusiaan. Etika profetik terbagi atas humanisasi, liberasi, dan transendensi. Namun, penelitian ini difokuskan pada dimensi transendensi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan makna etika profetik yang terdapat dalam kumpulan puisi Rahasia Sang Guru Sufi karya Odhy’s ditinjau dimensi transendensi. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif dengan strategi hermeneutika. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, puisi-puisi Odhy’s mengandung dimensi yang mempunyai bobot transendental apalagi jika ditinjau dari perspektif teologis dan metafisis. Penyair konsisten menggunakan diksi-diksi khas sufistik misalnya taman, burung, kolam, bunga mawar, setanggi, laut, samudra, zikir, tarikat, makrifat, sang guru, cermin, mabuk, anggur, kematian, dan lainnya. Puisi-puisi yang dapat diklasifikasikan sebagai puisi transendensi (tu’minunabillah) sebanyak 44 judul puisi yang membuktikan kecenderungan pemikiran Odhy’s selalu terkait dengan persoalan-persoalan sufistik.

Abstract

Cultural diversity in human life in the country context or in the world context is an essence. This case was duly understood and commonly accepted, but what is true is not always like that.On the other hand, there is often tension or conflict in the world and in the regional caused by cultural diversity. This paper shows the brooding of literature and reasonable principles espoused to ensure social harmony, coexistence and peace in the midst of diversity and cultural differences. First, the importance of being open to differences and accept it although not compatible with their own beliefs and practices (toleration) in order to achieve common goals. Second, the need to honor or celebrate differences (celebration) in order to achieve social cohesion, peace and perfect unity. To achieve the objectives of the above principles, should be practiced the current method and approach.In the context of language and literary education in a country like Indonesia or Malaysia, the spirit of cultural diversity can be developed through a number of ways. Among them, by utilizing the discipline of Comparative Literature which clearly stipulates that are cross-cultural studies. Next, using a curriculum that focuses on literary works such as Jalan Menikung and Hikayat Hang Tuah which is featuring side of cultural diversity, especially around the theme of harmony between human beings.

Abstract

Fiksi transkultural muncul di Indonesia sejak masa kolonial Belanda melalui para pengarang keturunan Tionghoa generasi kedua maupun berikutnya. Tema transkultur lahir sebagai bentuk ekspresi dari kegelisahan mereka sebagai diasporan Cina di wilayah ini. Negosiasi dan resistensi terhadap budaya leluhur yang terjadi dalam proses pembentukan identitas mereka dimanifestasikan dalam bentuk karya sastra yang menampilkan pergulatan para tokoh protagonisnya dalam menyikapi permasalahan kehidupan mereka. Dalam Bunga Roos dari Tjikembang karya Kwee Tek Hoay pergulatan itu muncul pada tokoh Bian Koen, Marsiti, dan Gwat Nio dan upaya penciptaan third space tampil secara simbolik pada tokoh Gwat Nio. Sedangkan dalam Dimsum Terakhir karya Clara Ng pergulatan tersebut muncul pada tokoh ayah—Nung Atasana, dan keempat perempuan anak kembarnya (Siska, Indah, Rosi, Novera) dengan upaya penciptaan third space yang intensif pada keempat protagonis perempuan. Hasil analisis ini menguatkan argumen bahwa identitas merupakan proses yang senantiasa dalam pergulatan (in the making) sebagaimana terlihat dalam kedua karya berbeda jaman ini. Dengan demikian, identitas ke-Cina-an bagi diasporan Tionghoa di Indonesia senantiasa cair, tidak kaku, dan selalu menghadapi dinamika renegosiasi dari jaman ke jaman.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to study the language in mass media. The focus of this research is the usagee of language; unwell, illogical, and ignore the politeness in the language. The mass media offered a language that was inconsistent with the reader's expectations, so the text caused dissatisfaction of the reader. Nowadays, democracy grows in Indonesia. Language in mass media also was involved in freedom when it was delivered. So that, it caused of the neglect of the language aspect that should be the main point by the author. This study tells how the conventional media and be popular in public, by separated the use of good and correct Indonesian. Kind of this research is qualitative research, by making Kompas newspaper as research object.Researchers found some disregarding aspects of politeness in language such as: ignoring the facts, the title is not appropriate, the term is not appropriate and so forth. The optimization of language is expected to make everyone pay attention to write well and use the correct language. In addition, language rules and courtesy in language should be applied in writing the mass media.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji bahasa yang terdapat di dalam media massa. Fokus penelitian ini adalah penggunaan bahasa yang tidak baik, tidak logis, dan mengabaikan kesantunan dalam berbahasa. Media massa menyajikan informasi menggunakan bahasa yang disukai oleh penulisnya, sehingga berita di media massa seperti koran terkadang bersifat subjektif. Seiring demokrasi yang semakin berkembang di Indonesia, bahasa di media massa juga mengalami kebebasan dalam penyampaiannya. Akibatnya adalah pengabaian aspek kebahasaan yang seharusnya menjadi perhatian utama oleh penulisnya. Penelitian ini menyajikan bagaimana media massa konvensional dan dikenal publik, masih mengesampingkan penggunaan bahasa Indonesia yang baik dan benar. Penelitian ini tergolong ke dalam penelitian kualitatif, dengan menjadikan koran Kompas sebagai objek penelitian. Peneliti menemukan beberapa pengabaian aspek kesantunan dalam berbahasa seperti: mengabaikan fakta, judul tidak sesuai, istilah yang tidak tepat dan lain sebagainya. Pengoptimalisasian bahasa diharapkan mampu membuat semua pihak memerhatikan penulisan bahasa yang baik dan benar. Selain itu, kaidah kebahasaan dan kesantuanan dalam berbahasa perlu diaplikasikan dalam penulisan di media massa.

Abstract

Absract: By the early of the 17th century, the Malay-Indonesian poetry began with a controversial issue of tasawuf, that of the wahdatul wujud concept. In the Malay-Indonesian literature, the issue has been reproduced ever since with all the controversy, to the Indonesian literature in modern times, one of which is articulated by Emha Ainun Nadjib. This writing discusses the articulation of that concept in the poetry of Emha Ainun Nadjib, by researching the forms of articulation and answering the question of original and novelty about this concept in his poems. Furthermore, it will also be discussed whether the concept contains speculative ideas or mystical experience. Finally, it is concluded that in Nadjib’s poems, speculative ideas mingled with the expression of mystical experience. With this conclusion, the sustainability of the concept in the modern Indonesian poetry is also an effort to further expand and enrich the depth of its meaning.Abstrak: Puisi Melayu-Indonesia dimulai dengan isu tasawuf yang kontroversial di awal abad ke-17, yaitu faham wahdatul wujud. Dalam sastra Melayu-Indonesia, isu ini direproduksi dari abad ke abad dengan segala kontroversinya, sampai sastra Indonesia di zaman modern yang salah satunya diartikulasikan Emha Ainun Nadjib. Tulisan ini mendiskusikan artikulasi faham wahdatul wujud dalam puisi-puisi Emha Ainun Nadjib, dengan melihat bentuk-bentuk artikulasinya berikut apa yang orisinal dan apa pula yang baru dalam puisi-puisinya menyangkut isu ini. Selain itu,  didiskusikan apakah wahdatul wujud dalam puisi Emha Ainun Nadjib mengandung gagasan spekulatif ataukah pengalaman mistis? Tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa dalam artikulasi wahdatul wujud Emha Ainun Nadjib, gagasan spekulatif berbaur dengan ekspresi pengalaman mistis. Abstract

Abstract: This classroom action research aims to describe the results and learning process of writing poetry by looking at the building elements using an acrostic technique. This research consists of two cycles. The technique used to analyze data is quantitative and qualitative descriptive. The subject of this research is Class X Students of SMA Negeri 7 Malang. The results of the study found that (1) learning completeness showed an increase of 12.75% and (2) the results of students' writing learning showed an increase from the average value of 67,7% in the first cycle to 80.05 in the second cycle. Based on these results the use of the acrostic technique is recommended for learning to write poetry in high school.Abstrak: Penelitian tindakan kelas ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil dan proses pembelajaran menulis puisi dengan memerhatikan unsur pembangunya menggunakan teknik akrostik. Penelitia ini terdiri dari dua siklus. Teknik yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah deskriptif kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini ialah Siswa Kelas X SMA Negeri 7 Malang. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa (1) ketuntasan pembelajaran menunjukkan peningkatan sebesar 12,75% dan (2) hasil pembelajaran menulis siswa menunjukkan peningkatans dari nilai rata-rata 67,7% pada siklus pertama meningkat menjadi 80,05 pada siklus kedua. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut penggunaan teknik akrostik direkomendasikan untuk pembelajaran menulis puisi di SMA.

Abstract

Abstract: Political communications can be done by using the selection of speech code in accordance with  its purposes and functions. This study aims to find and describes instances, functions, and patterns of speech code which is selected  by Ridwan Kamil in his Instagram's political communication as mayor of Bandung . The data are collected via observation method and other advanced techniques such as uninvolved conversation observation technique, documentation technique, and writing technique. The data are analyzed using Miles and Huberman analysis model, contextual method, and comparative method. The instance of  Ridwal Kamil’s speech code selection in political communication in Instagram were 1) intra-code in English, formal Indonesian, and Sundanese; 2) code switching in the form of code switching, register switching , and variety switching ; 3) code mixing in the form of  interpolation of word, phrase, clause, word-idiom, and word-phrase. The patterns of speech code selection of Ridwan Kamil in political communication was vertical pattern. The function of speech code selection were  individual, cultural, communal and educational. Abstrak: Komunikasi politik dapat dilakukan dengan menggunakan pilihan kode tutur sesuai dengan tujuan dan fungsinya. Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis wujud, pola, dan fungsi pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil sebagai Wali kota Bandung dalam komunikasi politik di Instagram. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode simak menggunakan teknik simak bebas  libat cakap (SBLC), teknik dokumentasi, dan teknik catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan model analisis Miles dan Huberman, metode padan, dan metode kontekstual. Wujud pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil dalam komunikasi politik di Instagram meliputi 1) tunggal kode dan variasinya yang berupa kode  Inggris, kode Indonesia ragam formal, dan kode Sunda; 2) alih kode yang berupa alih bahasa, alih register, dan alih ragam; serta 3) campur kode yang berupa penyisipan kata, frasa, klausa, kata-idiom, dan kata-frasa. Pola pilihan kode tutur Ridwan Kamil dalam komunikasi politik adalah pola vertikal. Fungsi pilihan kode tutur meliputi fungsi personal, kebudayaan, kemasyarakatan, dan pendidikan. Abstract

The issue of the lack tradition of reading among students needs attention and solution. Students need to be inspired, motivated, and facilitated so diligent and intense reading. For the progress of the study, reading is the basic skills are constantly required by the student. In the context of a student in college, an important reading skill by a student is critical reading skills. Critical reading skills involve aspects of critical thinking. Students trying to explore what were stated in the reading material and trying to explore the meaning. A critical reading activity not just memorize, but students with critical reading skills is possible does not accept what is presented, even college students understand the concept of what she or he had. Basically, when someone doing critical reading activity, he did it with thoughtful, attentive, insightful, analytical, evaluative, and instead want to find mistakes the author. Based on the facts and phenomena, critical reading skills so necessary for a college student. This study aims to describe the level of critical reading skills in college students majoring in Islamic Banking IV semester academic year 2012/2013. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach. This research uses the descriptive method. The population in this research is the whole Islamic Banking Majors semester IV amounted to 125. This research sample taken using proportional random sampling. Based on the model of random sample research, determined that Islamic Banking Majors semester IV class B and D of 59 people. The results showed that in general a student majoring in Islamic Banking Semester IV is quite skilled in the critical reading of a text. It is reflected in the statistical data indicating that the average value of the total of the skills of critical reading of a text on Islamic Banking majors semester IV is at number 77,35 and is skilled enough to qualify. Specifically, the percentage of the skill level of every aspect of critical reading on Islamic Banking Majors Semester IV can be outlined as follows, (1) aspects of skills to determine the facts in the text represents 22.5% of the total critical reading skills, (2) aspects of skills to determine the opinion in the text represents 22.2% of the total critical reading skills, (3) aspects of skills conclude text content representing 20.3% of the total critical reading skills, (4) aspects of skills analyze the use of the language within the text represent 15.7% of the total critical reading skills, (5) aspects of skills opined against text content represent 19,3% of the total critical reading skills.

Abstract

Abstract: The aim of this research is to do an in-depth study of the representation of injustice cointaned in the anthology of poetry Nyanyian Akar Rumput written by Wiji Thukul and its implication in learning Indonesian language. This research is a qualitative research using descriptive analysis method. The research concludes that the analyzed poems represent acts of injustice, such as commutative and recreative injustice. The results of this research showed: (1) Representation of creative injustice was found in the poem entitled “Peringatan” that revealed people’s freedom in voicing criticism to fight for their rights as citizens; (1) Representation of creative injustice was found in the poem entitled “Penyair” that revealed the poet’s disappointment with the regime due to his freedom to work; (3) The implication of this research can be used by teachers and students as learning materials for literary studyAbstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam mengenai representasi ketidakadilan yang terdapat di dalam kumpulan puisi Nyanyian Akar Rumput karya Wiji Thukul serta implikasinya dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan puisi yang dianalisis mempresentasikan adanya tindak ketidakadilan kreatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan: (1) Representasi ketidakadilan kreatif ditemukan pada puisi berjudul “Peringatan” yang mengungkapkan tentang ketidakbebasan rakyat dalam menyuarakan kritik untuk memperjuangkan hak-haknya sebagai warga negara ; (2) Representasi ketidakadilan kreatif ditemukan pada puisi berjudul “Penyair” yang mengungkapkan tentang kekecewaan penyair terhadap rezim saat itu akibat ketidakbebasan dalam berkarya; (3)Implikasi representasi ketidakadilan pada puisi dalam pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia dapat dimanfaatkan oleh guru dan siswa sebagai bahan pembelajaran sastra.

Abstract

Abstract: This paper describes the Indonesian interference into Madurese usage. The usage of Indonesian and Madurese language alternately allows interference. In general, interference is focused on the effect of one language (L1) into second language (B2) or other language. Interference often occurs in a casual register. However, there is little interference that occurs in the formal register, such as in the teaching and learning process of Indonesian. The findings of this study were the occurrence of grammatical interference  in the morphological and phonological levels. Abstrak: Makalah ini mendeskripsikan interferensi bahasa Indonesia terhadap penggunaan bahasa Madura. Penggunaan bahasa Indonesia dan bahasa Madura secara bergantian memungkinkan terjadinya interferensi. Secara umum interferensi lebih fokus pada pengaruh bahasa satu (B1) pada penggunaan bahasa kedua (B2) atau bahasa lainnya. Interferensi sering terjadi pada ragam santai. Namun tidak sedikit ditemukan interferensi yang terjadi pada ragam resmi, seperti dalam proses belajar mengajar bahasa Indonesia.
