Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to explain the application of reading skills teaching materials to BIPA students at IAIN Surakarta. In addition, this study will also explain the analysis of the needs of teaching materials for foreign student reading skills at IAIN Surakarta. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative, which is a method that tries to describe the object in a real and real way. Data collection techniques were carried out by observation and distributing questionnaires to parties involved in learning reading skills at the BIPA IAIN Surakarta institute. The results of this study indicate that learning Indonesian for foreign speakers at IAIN Surakarta applies teaching material from the Center for Strategic and Diplomacy Development (PPSDK) namely Indonesian Friends, and still retains its Islamic characteristics by providing Islamic values to foreign students. Analysis of teaching material requirements on reading skills at BIPA IAIN Basic level Surakata are classified as follows, age, national origin, final education, prospective profession, language mastered, ability to speak Indonesian. In addition, the analysis of teaching material needs on reading skills includes several aspects, namely, aspects of material content, presentation aspects, and language aspects.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplanasikan penerapan bahan ajar keterampilan membaca pada mahasiswa BIPA di IAIN Surakarta. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga akan menjelaskan analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar keterampilan membaca mahasiswa Asing di IAIN Surakarta. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif, yakni metode yang mencoba menjelaskan objek secara nyata dan apa adanya. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan menyebarkan angket kepada pihak yang terlibat dalam pembelajaran keterampilan membaca di lembaga BIPA IAIN Surakarta. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia bagi penutur Asing di IAIN Surakarta menerapkan bahan ajar dari Pusat Pengembangan Strategi dan Diplomasi Kebahasaan (PPSDK) yakni Sahabatku Indonesia, dan tetap mempertahankan ciri khas keislamannya dengan memberikan nilai-nilai keislaman kepada mahasiswa Asing. Analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar pada keterampilan membaca di BIPA IAIN Surakata tingkat dasar diklasifikasikan sebagai berikut, usia, asal negara, pendidikan terakhir, calon profesi, bahasa yang dikuasai, kemampuan berbahasa Indonesia. Selain itu analisis kebutuhan bahan ajar pada keterampilan membaca meliputi beberapa aspek yaitu, aspek isi materi, aspek penyajian, dan aspek bahasa.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to describe the type of Indonesian language learning implemented in SMA Negeri 1 Ciawi, Social Class X. Qualitative method is employed in this research in order to describe the research object. The technique used to collect data was questionnaire, observation or direct observation in the classroom, and conduct interviews. The results showed that the type of Indonesian language learning that took place at SMA Negeri 1 Ciawi, Social Class X is integrative type. Integrative type is a type of language learning in which students do not just learn the language, but everything they learned in school are applied in everyday life. Through the questionnaire knows as much 67% students show a positive attitude towards Indonesian language. In addition, strengthened by the result of observations show seven teachers' activities also led to a positive attitude towards Indonesian. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan tipe pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ciawi. Metode deskriptif kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memaparkan objek penelitian tanpa memanipulasi data. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah penyebaran angket, pengamatan atau observasi di kelas, dan melakukan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tipe pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia di kelas X IPS SMA Negeri 1 Ciawi yaitu tipe integratif.  Tipe integratif mengarah pada pembelajaran bahasa yang membentuk sikap positif bahasa. Melalui angket diketahui bahwa 67% siswa menunjukkan sikap positif terhadap bahasa Indonesia. Demikian juga dengan angket guru, yakni sebanyak tujuh guru melakukan proses pembelajaran bahasa yang mengaraj pada tipe integratif. Permalink/DOI: http://dx.doi.org/10.15408/dialektika.v4i1.7000

Abstract

Abstract: The problem in this research is how the value of character education contained in the autobiography book of Happy Little Soul. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The results of this paper showed that there are 16 types of character education values, there are religious value, honest value, tolerance value, discipline value, hard work value, creative value, self-value, curiosity value, love value of the country, achievement value, friendship/communicative value, peace loving value, reading value, social caring value, responsibility value, and unyielding value.Abstrak: Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimanakah nilai pendidikan karakter yang terdapat dalam buku Autobiografi Happy Little Soul. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Hasil dalam tulisan ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 16 jenis nilai pendidikan karakter, yaitu nilai relegius, nilai jujur, nilai toleransi, nilai disiplin, nilai kerja keras, nilai kreatif, nilai mandiri, nilai rasa ingin tahu, nilai cinta tanah air, nilai menghargai prestasi, nilai bersahabat/komunikatif, nilai cintai damai, nilai gemar membaca, nilai peduli sosial/peduli sesama, nilai tanggung jawab, dan terakhir nilai pantang menyerah.

Abstract

The language system in this world has universality. It means, every language has some element in common. As in the case of the structure of the sentence or sentences diversity. Javanese language has a diversity sentence similar to other languages. There is imperative sentence or order sentence in Javanese language. This sentence is spoken by speakers in order to get a reaction or response from the opponent speaker. Responses are expected to both verbal and nonverbal. The data taken from the mass media such as magazine or newspaper that is written by Javanese language. In addition, the data is also collected verbally from informants and other data generated creativelly by the writer as native speaker of Javanese language. The results obtained are, there are five characteristics that mark imperative sentence in the Javanese language, namely (1) the written sentence marked with (!), (2) the oral sentence intonation pattern [2] 3 # or [2] 3 2 # , (3) ended by -en, -a, -ana, or -na on his P, (4) can be given a pointer word commands like "come", "sumonggo", "monggo", "try", and (5 ) intonation is the main characteristic of imperative sentences. The second conclusion is that there are several markers in the Javanese language imperative sentence that P ended by -en, -a, -ana, or -na and use markers in the form of pointer commands like "come", "sumonggo", "monggo", "try" . The third conclusion is that there are four categories of the order sentence in the Javanese language as submitted by Ramlan.

Abstract

Dulce et utile is not an odd word in literary world, Dulce et utile is not an odd word to the world of literature, because it is the function of literature. A literary work which  is  born  as  the  graffiti  of  the  writer  has  a  goal  to  be  entertaining  and  useful  to readers. The benefit is the reader can get many forms of messages, such as moral, religious, even culture. Such as works of Pramoedya Ananta Toer is considered to be influencing the things that are not good for the reader. This can be explained that literary works actually have the ability to affect the "thought dimension" and socio-cultural of society. This paper describes how the literature can have a cultural influence in Indonesia in terms of history.

Abstract

Abstract: Contemporary popular novels generally bring about a global discourse. This is the impact of the authors' contact with the global world. Andrea Hirata and Ahmad Fuadi are authors who are closely related to the global world affecting their works. However, local cultural values are also contained in the novels. Thus, there is a wedge between local and global values within the text. This paper is intended to examine how the local values are represented by the text of a global popular novel. This study uses two popular novel texts as the object of study, namely Sang Pemimpi by Andrea Hirata and Negeri 5 Menara by Ahmad Fuadi. The questions that guide this paper are a) how aspects of locality are represented in popular novels, b) what forms of locality aspects are contained in popular novels. In this paper, an analytical descriptive method using the perspective of cultural studies is used. The results show that the aspects of locality are featured in popular novels through background stories, figures, and habits demonstrated by the main characters. These intrinsic elements show the values of locality that are related to mutual cooperation and wander traditions.Abstrak: Novel-novel populer kontemporer pada umumnya banyak memunculkan wacana global. Hal ini merupakan imbas dari persentuhan para pengarang dengan dunia global. Andrea Hirata dan Ahmad Fuadi adalah pengarang-pengarang yang memiliki keterkaitan erat dengan dunia global sehingga berdampak pada karya-karya mereka. Namun demikian, nilai-nilai budaya lokal juga termuat di dalam novel-novel tersebut. Sehingga, terjadi irisan antara nilai-nilai lokal dan global di dalam teks tersebut. Tulisan ini dimaksudkan untuk mengkaji bagaimana nilai-nilai lokal tersebut direpresentasikan teks novel popoler yang berwacana global. Kajian ini menggunakan dua teks novel populer sebagai objek kajian, yaitu Sang Pemimpi karya Andrea Hirata dan Negeri 5 Menara karya Ahmad Fuadi. Pertanyaan yang menuntun tulisan ini adalah a) bagaimana aspek lokalitas direpresentasikan di dalam novel populer, b) apa bentuk aspek lokalitas yang ada di dalam novel populer. Tulisan ini menggunakan metode deskriptif analitis dengan perspektif kajian budaya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek lokalitas ditampilkan dalam novel populer melalui latar cerita, tokoh-tokoh, dan kebiasaan yang ditunjukkan oleh tokoh utama. Unsur-unsur intrinsik tersebut menunjukkan nilai-nilai lokalitas yang berkaitan dengan tradisi gotong royong dan merantau.

Abstract

Abstract: There are many traditional oral literature which is nuanced of reflection is no longer known by people, eventhough this kind of literature anthropologicaly was formed by people tradition. It means that in the oral literature there are values which had been embraced by the owners. Even, many of the oral literature form have myth. The reflective text of an Indonesian humanist, Prie GS, can be categorized as spoken literary discourse by the author through the well known radiobroadcasts such as “Smart” in Jakarta, Manado, Palembang, Medan, Surabaya, Makasar, Jaya Pura, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Balikpapan, and “Sindi Kasih Semarang”. This study used qualitative method. Qualitative method is known as a research prosedure to result description analysis in the form of words from thr reflection text of Prie GS whis is the research object. The result shows that (a) The story is simply and not simply expressed whic can be seen from the forming of the figure of speech.. (b) The most dominant figure of speeches used are personification, allution, and methaphore. Keywords: reflection; figure of speech act; historical value; social value Abstrak: Banyak sastra tradisi lisan yang bernuansa refleksi tidak lagi dikenal masyarakat, padahal bentuk sastra ini dipandang secara antropologis dibentuk oleh tradisi masyarakat. Ini berarti sastra lisan di dalamnya terdapat nilai-nilai yang pernah dianut oleh masyarakat penciptanya. Bahkan, banyak di antara bentuk sastra lisan itu yang memiliki mitos. Teks reflektif hasil karya budayawan Indonesia bernama Prie GS dapat dikategorikan sebagai wacana susastra yang dilisankan oleh pengarangnya melalui siaran-siaran radio terkenal seperti pemancar radio Smart di Jakarta, Manado, Palembang, Medan, Surabaya, Makasar, Jaya Pura, Banjarmasin, Samarinda, Balikpapan dan Radio Sindi Kasih  Semarang. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif. Metode kualitatif dipahami sebagai suatu prosedur penelitian untuk menghasilkan uraian deskriptif berupa kata-kata dari teks refleksi karya Prie GS yang menjadi objek penelitian ini. Hasil yang didapatkan dalam penelitian ini adalah (a) Kisah cerita diungkapkan dengan cara yang lugas dan tak lugas hal itu tampak dalam penciptaan gaya bahasa; (b) Penggunaan gaya bahasa yang menonjol adalah gaya bahasa personifikasi, alusi, dan metafora. Abstract

Abstract: This paper describes the language style in the collection of poetry of Hujan Bulan Juni by Sapardi Djoko Damono. With descriptive method and analytic approach, the poems’s Sapardi Djoko Damono are interpreted based on its language styles. The results of this study show that overall there are nineteen kind of language styles which is used by Sapardi, namely metaphor, personification, allegory, hyperbole, litotes, paradox, climax, anticlimactic, hypalase, erotesis, ellipsis, sinekdoke, alliteration, asonansi, epizeukis, anafora, mesodiplosis, and epanalepsis. The style of language that often appears in this collection of poetry is the style of comparison that includes personification, metaphor, and allegory. The effect of using the language style is to make writer ideas and emotions more real.   Abstrak: Tulisan ini mendeskripsikan gaya bahasa pada kumpulan puisi Hujan Bulan Juni karya Sapardi Djoko Damono. Dengan metode deskriptif serta pendekatan analitik, puisi-puisi karya Sapardi Djoko Damono ini dimaknai dan ditafsirkan berdasar gaya bahasanya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Secara keseluruhan terdapat sembilan belas gaya bahasa, yaitu metafora, personifikasi, alegori, hiperbola, litotes, paradoks, klimaks, antiklimaks, hipalase, erotesis, elipsis, sinekdoke, aliterasi, asonansi, epizeukis, anafora, mesodiplosis, dan epanalepsis. Adapun gaya bahasa yang sering muncul dalam kumpulan puisi ini adalah gaya bahasa perbandingan yang mencakup personifikasi, metafora, dan alegori. Abstract

Abstract: This paper shows the gender construction in the novel “Perempuan Berkalung Sorban” (PBS) – The Veil Neck Woman (VNW) by Abidah El Khalieqi. The method used in this paper is a qualitative description. Based on the analysis, there are two gender constructions in the text, namely the religion and community constructions. Both are interconnected so that it makes biased between religion and society. The gender construction and patriarchal culture make women vulnerable to the violence, which are in the novel VNW including rape, sexual abuse/sexual and emotional harassment, veiled violence, acts of beating, and physical attacks that occurred in the household. Abstrak: Tulisan ini memperlihatkan konstruksi gender dalam novel Perempuan Berkalung Sorban (PBS). Metode yang dipakai dalam tulisan ini ialah deskripsi kualitatif. Berdasarkan analisis terdapat dua kontsruksi gender yang terdapat dalam teks, yaitu konstruksi yang dibangun agama dan konstruksi yang dibangun oleh masyarakat. Keduanya saling berhubungan sehingga konstruksi tersebut menjadi bias antara agama dan masyarakat. Konstruksi gender dan budaya patriaki tersebut membuat perempuan rentan terhadap kekerasan, yang dalam novel PBS diantaranya tindak perkosaan, pelecehan seksual/sexual and emotional harassment, kekerasan terselubung, tindakan pemukulan, dan serangan fisik yang terjadi dalam rumah tangga. Abstract

Novel The Da Peci Kode karya Ben Sohib adalah novel yang menggambarkan budaya Betawi keturuan Arab yang tinggal di Condet. Penelitian  ini bertujuan melihat bagaimana realitas budaya Betawi keturuan Arab yang ditampilkan dalam novel ini. Selain itu, untuk mengungkapkan kritik sosial yang disampaikan penulis dalam karyanya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologi sastra untuk mengungkapkan bagaimana  hubungan antara sastra dan masyarakat, bagaimana hubungan tersebut terjadi, dan bagaimana keterkaitannya. Simpulan dari penelitian ini adalah kondisi sosial Betawi keturunan orang Arab dalam novel ini ialah kentalnya pengaruh Islam dan Arab pada masyarakat tersebut. Dalam Pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra Indonesia novel ini dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran. Novel ini memberikan nilai-nilai positif, seperti sikap kritis, menghargai pendapat yang berbeda, dan menghormati orang tua. Nilai-nilai tersebut adalah pondasi dasar untuk membangun karakter siswa.
