Abstract

This research aims to find out whether the learning activity of writing news texts for class VIII C students at SMP Negeri 1 Pabelan for the 2017/2018 academic year can be improved through problem-based learning methods and to find out what the learning outcomes for writing news texts for students at class VIII C at SMP Negeri 1 Pabelan are. The 2017/2018 academic year can be improved through problem-based learning methods.This research is classroom action research designed to be carried out in 2 cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation and reflection stages. The subjects of this research were students in class VIII C of SMP Negeri 1 Pabelan for the 2017/2018 academic year. This class was chosen because the results of learning to write news texts for this class were still below the expected minimum completeness criteria, namely 71.82.The research results showed that in cycle II the average score for students' learning activities to write news texts was 86.07 (high), while the average learning outcomes for students in writing news texts in cycle II reached a score of 85.51 (good). Classically, students have completed their studies because 93.75% of students have obtained a score of ≤ 76. Thus, the success indicator for this research has been achieved in cycle II so that this research can be declared successful in increasing students' activities and learning outcomes in writing news texts.Keywords: learning activities, learning outcomes, problem-based learning.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low value of mathematics subjects in division material in class IV at SD Negeri Sumowono. The formulation of the problem in this study is how to improve student learning achievement in learning math division material in Class IV SD Negeri Sumowono using a division board. The purpose of this study was to improve learning achievement in mathematics subject of division using division board.The research subjects were all fourth grade students of SD Negeri Sumowono which amounted to 26 students. This research was conducted in March of the 2022/2023 academic year. In this study, 2 data collection techniques were used, namely: (1) Tests to determine the value of student learning outcomes; (2) Observations made during the learning process to determine teacher skills and student activities.The results of the research were an increase in learning achievement as indicated by the results of the evaluation test in cycle I, which was completed by 11 students (42.30%), in cycle II it increased to 22 students (84.61%). For teacher skills, he received a score of 77.5 (Good) in cycle I and increased to 90 (very good) in cycle II. Student activity increased in the very good category from no students getting a very good score (0%) to 4 students getting a very good score (15.39%). Thus, it can be concluded that there is an increase in achievement in mathematics in division material using division boards in class IV students at Sumowono State Elementary School.Keywords: Mathematics, Division Material using the Division Board.

Abstract

Research on the Relationship between Self-Concept and Self-Confidence in Class XII Students of Teuku Umar High School, Semarang motivated by the lack of self-confidence of class XII students, this is indicated by the results of the AKPD (Students Needs Questionnaire) many students still chose the item "I lack self-confidence" which received a percentage of 3.26% in the high category.The aim of this research is to find out whether there is a relationship between self-concept and the self-confidence of class XII students at SMA Teuku Umar Semarang. In this research, the method used was quantitative with correlation research type, the population in this research was 142 students. This research sample took 75% of the population so that the sample used was 106 students which was determined using a saturated sampling technique.Based on the Pearson product moment correlation test, the calculated r value is 0.467, while the r table for a sample size of 106 is 0.160. Therefore, 0.467 > 0.160, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and the self-confidence of class XII students at SMA Teuku Umar Semarang.This relationship shows a positive direction, because the calculated r value obtained in this study is positive. A positive relationship means that if self-concept is high then self-confidence is high, and vice versa if self-concept is low then self-confidence is low.Keywords: student, self concept, self confidence

Abstract

This research was motivated by the lack of maximum learning outcomes in Mathematics and the low intensity of learning at home by fifth grade students at SDN Gedanganak 03 Ungaran. The purpose of this study was to determine whether or not the intensity of studying at home had an effect on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Gedanganak 03 Ungaran. The type of research used is ex post facto quantitative research. The population in this study amounted to 35 students of class V. The sampling technique used saturated sampling because all the populations in this study were used as samples. The variables studied included: the intensity of studying at home and learning outcomes of Mathematics. Data collection techniques using a questionnaire. Then the results of the data obtained were analyzed using a simple linear regression test. Based on the results of the research and after the data was analyzed, there was an effect of the intensity of studying at home on learning outcomes in Mathematics. This is shown by the results of simple linear regression, namely the value of Sign. smaller than 0.05 (0.00 <0.05) or, tcount > ttable (5.279 > 2.035). Then Ha is accepted and H0 is rejected. This means that there is a significant influence between the intensity of studying at home on the mathematics learning outcomes of fifth grade students at SDN Gedanganak 03 Ungaran.Keywords: learning intensity, home, learning outcomes, mathematics

Abstract

The background to this research is that the low science learning outcomes of class V students at SDN Banyubiru 01 are due to the teacher still using the lecture method so that students only compete with the teacher and students feel bored in the learning process. By using a rotary wheel media, students will have a high curiosity in the learning process. This study uses quantitative research. The data collection technique used is in the form of a test. The results of the study show that there is an effect of the use of rotary wheel media on science learning outcomes. This can be proven by the acquisition of hypotensive test results with the t test formula, namely with the calculated t value greater than t table (5.10504> 2.042) then Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected.Keywords: rotating wheel media, science learning outcomes.

Abstract

This research aims to describe improving the learning process and outcomes of students in class IV of SD Negeri Sendangmulyo 03, Semarang City on fictional story material through the application of the Problem Based Learning learning model assisted by paper puppets. The data collected in this study were 29 students. This study used a Classroom Action Research (PTK) design. This research was carried out in two cycles through four stages, namely, planning, acting, observing and reflecting. Data collection techniques used in this study include observation, testing, and documentation. Observation sheets are used to determine the improvement of the learning process, namely the ability to reason critically and independently in learning. The test is used to determine the increase in student learning outcomes regarding fictional story material. The data analysis techniques used are descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The results of research in cycle I showed that the number of students who achieved completeness was 17 with a percentage of 59% and 12 students who had not yet completed it with a percentage of 41%. In cycle II there was an increase with 27 students achieving completeness with a percentage of 93% and 2 incomplete students with a percentage of 7%. The average score in cycle I was 72 and cycle II 87.93. The average increase in learning outcomes in pre-cycle and cycle II through the N-gain test was 0.69 in the medium category. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the use of the problem based learning model assisted by paper puppet media can improve students' learning outcomes in class IV fiction story material at SDN Sendangmulyo 03, Semarang City.Keywords: Critical reasoning, independence, problem based learning, paper puppets

Abstract

In 2023, the independent curriculum will begin to be implemented in schools. Even though in its implementation there are still many obstacles. The Ministry of Education and Culture issued a policy regarding the use of the independent teaching platform (PMM) as a means that can support and facilitate teachers in preparing to implement the independent curriculum. This research aims to determine the effect of using the independent teaching platform (PMM) on teacher readiness in implementing the independent curriculum in the Gatot Subroto cluster environment, East Ungaran District, Semarang Regency.The research method used is quantitative research with a survey research design. The population of this research is all class teachers and subject teachers in schools that are members of the Gatot Subroto Korwilcam cluster for Education in East Ungaran District, totaling 68 people. The sample was selected by purposive sampling with a sample size of 24 teachers. This research was conducted in May 2023 in the Gatot Subroto cluster, East Ungaran District, Semarang Regency. Data collection techniques using questionnaires and documentation. The results of the simultaneous correlation calculation were 2.389, with a significance level of 0.05 and 0.136, indicating that there was no significant influence in the use of the independent teaching platform (PMM) on teacher readiness in implementing the independent curriculum.Keywords: Independent Teaching Platform (PMM), Implementation of the Independent Curriculum

Abstract

Children are a trust from the Almighty God which we must protect in order to achieve a period of growth and development for a child to become an adult human being for a sustainable future. Apart from that, children are the hope of a nation as the next generation who are expected to become quality individuals. As the nation's next generation, children must be given full protection so that high-quality morals can be formed from an early age. Seeing developments in the current era, the development of social media is growing very rapidly, this cannot be separated from the reach of children even though it is not common. There is a lot of dangerous content on social media, especially violent and pornographic content. Legal protection for children from dangerous content on social media is still general, there are no specific and specific regulations that refer to providing legal protection for children from dangerous content on social media.Keywords: legal protection, children, dangerous content
