Abstract

This literature review draws on the available evidence regarding Islamophobia in the West. Despite the revolutionary ideas in regard to human rights, Muslims are still being persecuted in different countries and mistreated daily. Islamophobia is a current dilemma for Muslims who are suffering from a lot of abuse as a result of misconceptions about Islam in the face of the refugee crisis, some events in the Middle East, terrorism under the pretext of Islam, and prejudicial representation of Muslims in Western media and politics. Consequently, Muslims in the West are frequently misconstrued and affected badly because of their religion. This paper starts by defining the word ‘Islamophobia’ and tracking its origin. Then it tries to look back in history for the main events leading to the eruption of this phenomenon. Lastly, it sheds light on four aspects of Islamophobia which are violence, prejudice, discrimination, and exclusion.

Abstract

The rise of crime cases that occur among students shows that current educational progress does not go hand in hand with the morals of students. This is because the learning activities carried out only focus on the cognitive and psychomotor aspects of students and tend to ignore the affective side of students. Therefore, a study of spiritual pedagogy as a way to develop students' effectiveness needs to be done. This study aims to examine the concept of spiritual pedagogy based on the Western perspective and the Qur'an and hadith and its implications for IRE learning. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach with a literature study method, namely through books, journals, and sources related to spiritual pedagogy. From this study, it was found that spiritual pedagogy, both according to the western perspective and the Qur'an and hadith both involves values in its implementation. The difference is that values in a western perspective can come from culture, religion, or knowledge. Meanwhile, based on the Qur'an and hadith, the value in question is the values that already exist in humans, not external values which are then crammed into them.

Abstract

Talking about Indonesia will never end. Lately, many generations of students are far from Islam. It does not matter if Allah is pleased or not. Even the Qur’an was ignored. Education is not just looking for grades on a diploma, but education is a place to seek knowledge, then implement the knowledge gained in everyday life, and after that pass it on to others. The purpose this article is to interpret the regeneration of Al-Qur’an love education realized through the extracurricular tahfidz MTS N 2 Sleman. This research is a type of qualitative research with a qualitative descriptive research approach. The data analysis technique used is by Miles, Huberman, and Saldana with the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation and conclusion drawing. Thus, the love of the Qur’an education desired by the creator will be able to output generations that are useful for the future of the Indonesian nation.

Abstract

Through a study of several curriculum kinds of literature and educational innovations, we have understood how curriculum change in various educational institutions is. This study analyzed and discusses how policymakers prepare various strategic policies, from government documents to schools. We reviewed all documents with a phenomenological approach from curriculum transformation policy documents, from central institutional and local internal schools expecting school involvement with the change towards transformation. With curriculum transformation positioned as an innovation in a challenging digital era, the theory and application of transformational learning encourage the lens to analyze the alignment of national policies with the goal of curriculum transformation. This paper explores the extent to which the government is changing from a high-risk, subject-content-based learning approach to the curriculum. Pedagogy of learning and applications was essential to achieve more complex educational goals and active learning theory. Three phases of commitment are distinguished through an assessment rubric, offering a system for evaluating educational plan change drives. Suggestions for instructive pioneers incorporate the need to coordinate institutional techniques with disciplinary mastery and ability and the significance of language reception as a forerunner to execution.
