Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of brand image, product variety, and lifestyle on students' purchase intention toward modern retail products, with a focus on Alfamidi outlets in the vicinity of Muhammadiyah University of Surakarta (UMS). A quantitative approach was employed using an explanatory survey method. The research population was considered unlimited, and the sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in 130 active student respondents. The instrument used was a closed-ended questionnaire, and the data were analyzed using multiple linear regression. The analysis results indicate that brand image (α1 = 0.200; p = 0.018), product variety (α2 = 0.297; p = 0.001), and lifestyle (α3 = 0.302; p = 0.000) each have a significant partial effect on purchase intention. Simultaneously, the three variables have a significant influence on purchase intention, with a coefficient of determination (R2) of 0.657 and a model significance value (Prob. F) of 0.000 (< α 0.01). These findings suggest that students' perceptions of brand, product diversity, and lifestyle play an important role in influencing purchasing decisions in modern retail. The practical implications of this study provide a strategic foundation for retail businesses in designing more adaptive marketing approaches tailored to the characteristics of young consumers in a university setting.

Abstract

In the context of higher education, lecturers' capacity to engage in innovative work behavior is critical to institutional development and academic excellence. This study investigates the role of knowledge sharing and perceived organizational support in enhancing creative self-efficacy and their combined influence on innovative work behavior among university faculty members. This study aimed to develop and test a mediation model in which creative self-efficacy acts as a psychological mechanism linking social-organizational factors to innovation outcomes. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 79 lecturers at a state university in Indonesia. Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) was used to assess the proposed model. The results show that both knowledge sharing and perceived organizational support significantly predict creative self-efficacy, which in turn directly affects innovative behavior. Furthermore, creative self-efficacy mediates the relationship between the two predictors and innovative behavior. These findings provide theoretical insights into the role of self-efficacy in mediating the social and organizational drivers of innovation. Practically, this study suggests that universities should foster collaborative environments and invest in psychological empowerment to enhance faculty innovation. This study contributes to the advancement of multidimensional innovation models in academic contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of independent commissioners, foreign ownership, and asset efficiency on tax avoidance in energy sector companies specifically those in the oil, gas, and coal subsectors isted on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the 2019-2023 period. Using purposive sampling, a total of 220 observations were obtained. The research employs a quantitative approach with panel data regression analysis, and the Random Effect Model (REM) was selected using EViews 12 software. The results show that both independent commissioners and foreign ownership have a significant negative effect on tax avoidance, while asset efficiency has no significant effect. These findings indicate that the presence of independent commissioners and foreign investors plays a crucial role in reducing tax avoidance practices, whereas asset efficiency does not appear to influence tax-related decisions. This supports agency theory, which suggests that oversight from independent parties and involvement of foreign shareholders can reduce information asymmetry and managerial opportunism. The theoretical contribution of this study lies in reinforcing the importance of corporate governance mechanisms in limiting tax avoidance strategies that could be detrimental to the state.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of collusion, ego, and fraud hexagon elements on the potential for fraud in village fund management, as well as the role of moral reasoning as a moderating variable. The results indicate that collusion and ego have a positive and significant effect on the potential for fraud, meaning that higher levels of collusion and ego among village officials increase the likelihood of fraud. Conversely, factors such as pressure, capability, opportunity, and rationalization do not have a significant impact on fraud potential. Further findings reveal that moral reasoning significantly weakens the influence of pressure, collusion, opportunity, rationalization, and ego on fraud potential. However, the capability element remains significant and cannot be moderated by moral reasoning. These results underscore the importance of strengthening moral reasoning through ethics and integrity training for village officials to reduce the potential for fraud in village fund management.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the influence of servant leadership on employee performance, with employee loyalty as a mediating variable, at Koperasi Jasa Syariah Khairu Ummah. Based on data analysis and structural model testing, several key findings were identified. First, servant leadership has a positive and significant effect on employee loyalty, indicating that a leadership style prioritizing employee needs, support, and empathy enhances emotional attachment and commitment to the organization. Second, employee loyalty positively and significantly influences employee performance, suggesting that loyal employees are more motivated and likely to perform better. Third, servant leadership does not directly affect employee performance, implying the presence of a mediating variable. Finally, employee loyalty is proven to mediate the relationship between servant leadership and employee performance, meaning that effective implementation of servant leadership increases loyalty, which in turn improves performance. Overall, the findings emphasize the crucial role of servant leadership in fostering employee loyalty as a foundation for enhancing performance, especially in value-based, sharia-oriented organizations.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has profoundly transformed consumption patterns in society, particularly among students. The convenience of online shopping through e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, combined with modern lifestyle trends and low levels of financial literacy, often fosters consumptive behavior. This tendency is evident in habits of excessive purchasing, decisions driven more by desire than necessity, and the urge to follow prevailing trends. Such behavior not only affects daily life but also influences students’ financial management, especially for those who depend on parental financial support. This study aims to empirically analyze the influence of online shopping through Shopee, lifestyle, and financial literacy on students’ consumptive behavior at Universitas Gunung Rinjani. Employing a quantitative method with an associative approach, the research involved 55 students selected through purposive sampling based on specific criteria. Data were collected via questionnaires using a Likert scale and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression using SPSS software. The findings reveal that: (1) online shopping through Shopee positively and significantly affects students’ consumptive behavior; (2) lifestyle has a positive impact on consumptive tendencies; (3) financial literacy exerts a significant negative effect on consumptive behavior; and (4) jointly, these three variables significantly influence students’ consumptive behavior. In conclusion, the ease of transactions on Shopee, a hedonistic lifestyle orientation, and varying levels of financial literacy collectively shape students’ consumptive patterns. Therefore, enhancing financial literacy, regulating e-commerce usage, and promoting a more modest lifestyle are recommended to mitigate excessive consumption.
