Abstract

This Living Qur'an research discusses the tradition (Ngaji Jama') of reading the Qur'an using the rhythm of tartil and tilawah. Ngaji Jama' is a religious ritual performed by the people of Bima and Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara. It is held at night (Ba'da Isha). The series of events of the Ngaji Jama' tradition are: Wedding, circumcision and Tahlilan by chanting the Qur'an using rhythm together or taking turns. This study aims to find out the process of Ngaji Jama' in the tradition of religious rituals carried out at Ngaji Jama' Wedding, Khitanan and Tahlilan events. Furthermore, to find out what impact Ngaji Jama' has on the social life of the people of Dompu, West Nusa Tenggara. The recitation of the Qur'an undergoes transmission and transformation, namely, the Recitation of the Qur'an in the Companions Era, the Recitation of the Qur'an in the Middle Era and the Recitation of the Qur'an in the Contemporary Era. In this study the author used descriptive, qualitative methods, then strengthened by primary data sources, secondary data and analyzed the data by collecting data through observation, interviews and documentation. This research was conducted by interviewing several religious leaders as well as reciters and Qariahs among the Dompu community. Based on the results of the research, it can be concluded that the people of Dompu understand the Qur'an not only as a holy book, but also as the embodiment of an ideal society that is always close to the Qur'an. This is what distinguishes the Ngaji Jama' tradition from other regions when there is a formal or non-formal event. Keywords: Kata Tradition, Ngaji Jama’, Living Qur'an

Abstract

Artikel ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui transformasi masjid sebagai destinasi wisata religi di Indonesia. Kemajuan teknologi dan perkembangan zaman membuat peradaban manusia mengalami perubahan cara pandang. Masjid yang memiliki fungsi sentral sebagai sarana dan tempat beribadah, kini mengalami transformasi multifungsi, yaitu sebagai destinasi wisata. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan library research. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah literatur seperti buku, artikel ilmiah, jurnal, dan laman web yang disajikan secara kritis-analitis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa masjid sebagai destinasi wisata religi tidak terlepas dari beberapa faktor, yaitu kemegahan bangunan dan fasilitas pendukung, catatan sejarah yang tak terlupakan, serta peningkatan spiritualitas dan religiusitas sebagai kebutuhan dasar manusia. Keberadaan masjid yang disulap menjadi destinasi wisata memiliki dampak positif dan negatif. Dampak positifnya dapat dirasakan oleh warga, yaitu meningkatkan umkm masyarakat yang tinggal di sekitar masjid, seperti pedagang kaki lima, tukang parkir, dan usaha berupa hotel dan penginapan lainnya. Namun, dampak negatifnya adalah kemacetan, pedagang kaki lima yang sulit ditertibkan, dan berkurangnya nilai kesakralan masjid yang seharusnya dapat menjaga nilai dan fungsi utamanya sebagai tempat ibadah.

Abstract

This paper will discuss the construction of tahlilan through da'wah from the Youtube account "Firanda Andirja", where the account has a routine in posting religious narratives containing the Qur'an and hadith. The delivery of da'wah on the account seems to have a significant influence in changing the audience's views on the practice of tahlilan, based on the Prophetic traditions and the views of the Shafi'iyyah Ulama. This paper is included in a literature study by referring to the theory presented by Stuart Hall, namely cultural studies. This theory helps in understanding how Islamic identity is presented and constructed in the media, as well as its impact on individual perception and identity. In the construction process, the author classifies three points that depart from Firanda Andirja's da'wah in the content regarding tahlilan, namely; the hadith that explains tahlilan as a religious tradition, the hadith that shows the arrival of the reward to the deceased, and the hadith that explains about serving dishes to the family of the deceased. From the da'wah delivered, it triggers a variety of responses among audiences (netizens) who comment on the column provided. The results found, that Ustadz Firanda Andirja's da'wah in his Youtube account with the content title 'Tahlilan Bid'ah?' has a bias in understanding and narrating his studies, this is evidenced by his understanding which tends to be textualist and subjective. This then has positive and negative implications for social media users.

Abstract

Kehadiran Korean Wave di kalangan masyarakat, terutama di kalangan pemuda Indonesia, sangat memengaruhi pandangan, gaya hidup, dan fashion remaja. Korean Celebrity menjadi salah satu tontonan yang sangat populer di kalangan pemuda Indonesia, khususnya perempuan. Kecenderungan untuk mengikuti gaya hidup dan cara komunikasi yang ditampilkan dalam tontonan tersebut menjadi sangat terlihat dalam pola kehidupan sehari-hari generasi muda. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh menonton drama Korea 'Celebrity' terhadap moral Qur'ani remaja. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah fenomenologi dalam penelitian kualitatif, yang bertujuan untuk memahami bagaimana subjek penelitian memaknai dan menanggapi suatu pengalaman atau peristiwa. Proses pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini melibatkan beberapa langkah, antara lain: Reduksi Data, Dilakukan untuk menyaring data yang relevan dengan penelitian. Klasifikasi Data, Bertujuan untuk mengelompokkan data ke dalam kategori tertentu sehingga lebih terfokus. Validasi Data, Bertujuan untuk memastikan keabsahan dan keandalan data yang telah dikumpulkan. Analisis Data, Melibatkan interpretasi data yang telah dikumpulkan dan diklasifikasikan. Peneliti mencari makna mendalam dan memahami bagaimana subjek memaknai pengalaman mereka. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi fakta lapangan, buku, artikel, jurnal, dan informasi yang diperoleh dari internet. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa drama Korea 'Celebrity' memiliki dampak terhadap perkembangan moral generasi muda. Dampak positifnya termasuk perubahan cara berpakaian yang lebih fashionable, peningkatan citra diri, terbentuknya hubungan sosial, tumbuhnya motivasi dalam berbisnis, serta peningkatan mood dan semangat beraktivitas. Namun, dampak negatifnya lebih dominan, seperti sikap fanatik yang berpotensi menyebarkan kebohongan (hoax) di media sosial, usaha memaksa diri mengikuti gaya hidup aktris/aktor dalam drama, serta pemborosan waktu.

Abstract

In the current era of industrial revolution 4.0, it appears that the process of transmitting hadith has experienced a shift. Hadith, which was originally transmitted using a strict process using the tahammul wal ada' method, now seems to have been denied by social media which has become a free space for disseminating hadith. Hadith texts that appear on social media, certainly have interesting problematic gaps to study. This article aims to show the various patterns of hadith transmission that are spread in Reels, YouTube Short and TikTok. Using a library research methodology, this type of qualitative research study also refers to the mediatization concept approach as an analytical design. The results of this research found at least three models of hadith transmission spread across on new media, namely first, videos that only mention hadith and have background sound, this content tends to be textual and provides instant understanding; second, interpretation of hadith accompanied by videos or images as a form of contextualization; and third, snippets of lectures from figures who quote hadith. The three transmission models each have different impacts. The lecture fragment model is a form of transmission that is quite compatible, because it provides the text of the hadith and its explanation comprehensively. Meanwhile, video models that only provide translations of hadiths and background music are the weakest transmission of hadiths, because they can create confusion in understanding hadiths and there are concerns that there will be a bias towards opinions and even ideologies towards certain communities.

Abstract

The debate regarding the nature of revelation is a classic phenomenon that occurs especially among kalam scholars. In these debates, sometimes some try to find a middle way so as to find common ground (ikhtilāf tanawwu') so that the truth of an opinion does not mean blaming another opinion. However, sometimes there is no common ground (itkhtilaf taḍād) where an opinion cannot tolerate another opinion because it is contradictory and cannot be compromised. The author wishes to explain the etymology and terminology of revelation along with the process of revelation to the prophet. The author will also try to explain several expert views on the pronunciation and meaning of the Koran, along with the views of contemporary thinkers regarding the process of receiving revelation from the prophets. This research is included in the type of qualitative research, and the research data source perspective uses library research. Data collection techniques in this research include determining the problem, looking for verses related to al-Waḥy, exploring and comparing these verses with mu'tabar books, to extract common threads and analyzing the data using descriptive analysis as a way to resolve the problem, narrated and then analyzed using content analysis and linguistics. The results of this research explain the problems with the pronunciation of the Al-Qur'an; several scholars believe that the Al-Qur'an comes from Allah ﷻ both in terms of meaning and pronunciation. However, other opinions believe that the Qur'an is absolute and qaṭ'ī is only its meaning. Meanwhile, contemporary thinkers also have different opinions regarding the revelation of the Koran. Some tend to believe that revelation is obtained without effort. Some believe that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ received revelations through his spiritual journey since childhood.
