Abstract

In a country with a multi-ethnic population like Indonesia, cultural conflict is something that cannot be avoided. Previous government policies that used the concept of assimilation meant that ethnic minority cultures had to merge into Indonesian culture as the dominant culture. As a result, ethnic minority cultures are lost or shackled. The concept of Multicultural Integration is offered as an alternative to reduce inter-ethnic conflict. Ethnicity is often seen as something that is situationally determined and symbolically charged. If, for example, platforms for solidarity are described and understood in structural terms, the result may be shifting ethnic identities on the basis of solidarity and politically called for mobilization on the basis of solidarity. Likewise, pressure, discrimination and racism, independent of gross cultural differences, form the basis for broad social solidarity and mobilization and the construction of a collective identity. The integration found in ethnic cultural wisdom is categorized into normative integration. Normative integration is a social bond that occurs because there is an agreement (consensus) on basic values and norms. The pattern of social relations between ethnic groups described above shows that an associative or positive pattern has been formed.

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is a chronic disease with an increasing prevalence globally. Diabetes management involves a multifaceted approach that includes lifestyle changes, blood sugar monitoring, and the use of medications. While modern medicine has become fundamental in the management of diabetes, traditional medicine is also still widely used. This study aims to evaluate and compare the efficacy of traditional and modern medicine in the management of diabetes. The research method used in this study is literature review. The results showed that modern medicine, which is based on strong scientific evidence and clinical validation, consistently showed higher efficacy in controlling blood sugar and reducing the risk of diabetes complications compared to traditional medicine. Drugs such as Metformin, DPP-4 inhibitors, and GLP-1 analogs have strong evidence of efficacy. On the other hand, studies on traditional medicine show mixed results with some offering potential benefits in controlling blood sugar. However, evidence regarding traditional medicine often lacks consistency and is poorly understood in the context of a clear mechanism of action.

Abstract

The aspect of population mobility in Banten Province is one of the demographic parameters that can describe the success of development, which is why writing related to mapping population mobility is important considering the very dynamic changes in demographic parameters in Banten Province. Population mobility used in this research is included in the category of permanent population mobility or can also be interpreted as migration (population movement). The research method used is quantitative with spatial descriptive analysis techniques. The elaboration stages include data collection, data processing, determining variables and overlaying digital maps. The unit of analysis in this research is the district/city where there are 4 districts and 4 cities. Mapping population mobility in Banten Province is to create a description of the data that has been obtained and display it in simple statistical form so that the public can more easily get an idea of the situation of population mobility in Banten Province. The mobility indicators studied are Incoming Migration, Outgoing Migration, Net Migration, Risen Migration, and the Percentage of Migrant Population. There are significant differences regarding the incidence of population mobility in Banten Province between North and South Banten. Greater Tangerang (Tangerang City, South Tangerang City and Tangerang Regency) is an area with a dominant composition of migrant residents. Regional status is also recorded to influence the incidence of population mobility, where the status of city areas is areas with high incidences of Incoming Migration compared to areas with district status. The policy that must be prepared regarding population mobility is facilitating the preparation of regional facilities and infrastructure related to the flow of movement and population movement, the pattern of which is increasing every year.

Abstract

When a person's physical, intellectual, and emotional growth aligns with the realization of harmony and adjustment between people, themselves, and their environment, they are said to be in good mental health. It's crucial to support kids' mental health in addition to their physical health. Both must go hand in hand without needing to focus on one point. That way, children can grow into individuals who don't get sick easily and are also mentally strong. To provide mental health support to children so that their souls are healthy, there are several steps that can be taken, namely by inviting children to talk about their feelings. Encourage children to maintain emotional and physical balance by encouraging them to engage in healthy activities, such as arranging study schedules, playing and communicating well. By taking these steps, parents can help their children maintain their mental health and build a strong foundation for their future emotional well-being. Library research techniques are used in this study. The definition and components of mental health, strategies for preserving children's mental health, and the part parents play in enhancing their mental health are all covered in this study.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to build a model that can detect damage to avocados, using gas sensors that are accurate, precise, specific, and sensitive. The specific goal is to get the best model from the several machine learning methods used. The best model will be obtained through a classification algorithm. The input data to be processed is gas data in units of ppm measured from damaged and normal avocados that have been stored for 7 days. Gas data recording uses the TGS 2600, MQ-3, MQ-4, MQ-2, and MQ-8 sensors. Each data quality will be improved by cleaning and normalizing data. The quality-enhanced data is then used as input to the machine learning system. The machine learning model used is the Ada-boost, Decision Tree, Multi Layer Perceptron (MLP) classification model and the Stratified K-Fold Cross Validation method. The trained model is then tested with a comparison of the number of test data and training data which is 70:30. The test results show the accuracy of the avocado damage detection system using ppm data obtained using the gas sensor and the Stratified K-Fold Cross Validation method with system accuracy on the Ada-boost value having an accuracy of 100%, 100%, 100% and 50%, with a method accuracy value classifier with 4x repetitions.

Abstract

News about student demonstrations regarding the impact of the increase in single tuition fees (UKT) after National Education Day has been widely reported, including in the mass media Tempo.co, Kalderanews.com, and Radarbanyumas.disway.id. It is certain that the perception and discourse of news from each mass media is different. Using Teun Van Dijk's Critical Discourse Analysis (CDA) method, this research aims to examine the discourse, social cognition and social context in mass media reports regarding the increase in Single Tuition Fees (UKT) in several State Universities after National Education Day on May 2 2024 . This research uses a qualitative method by collecting data through observing the three news stories and analyzing them using the Van Dijk CDA framework which includes macro structure, superstructure and microstructure (Semantics & Syntax). This study explains that the three news stories have the same topic, but the news is presented with different sub-themes and styles. These findings highlight that news articles depict students in a protest role, while universities and the Ministry as the guilty parties, indicating a lack of concern for students. This analysis highlights the role of the media in shaping public perceptions of the phenomenon.

Abstract

Business activities are very identical to the licensing process to obtain legality of business activities. In order to simplify the procedures, time, and costs of licensing services, the government has implemented e-government on the aspects of licencing services by issuing a Risk-Based Enterprise Licensing Policy through the OSS-RBA system. However, in the implementation process of this policy there are still problems so that implementation is not optimal. The problem raised in this study is the poor understanding of the entrepreneur to the use of the system, the socialization held by DPMPTSP Pontianak City is still ineffective, and still the low knowledge that the officials possessed by the DPMPsP Pontian City about using the OSS-RBA system. The purpose of this research is to know and analyze the implementation process of the policy of licensing attempts based on risk on DPMPSP Pontiaanak City. The methods used are descriptive qualitative research methods. Data is obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and triangulation. This study uses the implementation theory of Donald S. Van Meter and Carl E. Van Horn. The results of the research show that implementation of a risk-based licensing policy on Pontianak City DPMPTSP is not optimal. This can be seen from the absence of the Operational Standards Procedures in service, the many features in the OSS- RBA system becoming an obstacle to the entrepreneur, the participation of entrepreneurs is still low to understand the use of the system, the lack of knowledge and skills of some staff on how the system works, training of staff uneven, and ineffective socialization programmes.
