Abstract

This research aims to look at and analyze the effect of change management on employee performance and measure the role of organizational communication as a mediation variable for the impact of change management on employee performance at the Hospital of Special Surgery Karima Utama Surakarta. This model involved the training variable as the supporting variable. This research was relevant to hospitals; from several 350 employees, 100 employees were selected as samples using purposive sampling techniques. The study was analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS) with SmartPLS3 software. The results showed that change management had a significant and positive effect on organizational communication. Training had a significant and positive impact on organizational communication. Organizational communication, change management, and training had a significant and positive impact on employee performance. Organizational communication proved to be a partial mediation of the development of exercise on employee performance. Organizational communication was also proven to be a partial mediation of the impact of change management on employee performance.

Abstract

Bandung Islamic University participates in improving public health level by building a clinic named UPT Health Services of Bandung Islamic University. However the number of visit is still low: 2.34% by students, while by staff and lecturers: 32.32%. Patients satisfaction could influence this condition. The study aim was to analyse clinic utilisation by academic community, and to know patients satisfaction. This study was a descriptive research with a survey approach. The population was academic community of Bandung Islamic University having a medical treatment at the clinic. The samples were students (172 people), staff (51 people) and lecturers (61 people) with inclusive criteria: active students, and permanent staff and lecturers, and exclusive conditions for students on leave and for staff and lecturers on going study and on leave. This study was conducted between January 2020 and December 2020. The result showing clinic utilisation 51.74% by students, 84.31% by staff, and 67.21% by lecturers was good enough. Students (51%), staff (74.4%) and lecturers (68.3) had high satisfaction level. This was proven by revisiting clinic more than 1 time by students (31.97%), staff (78.43%) and lecturers (57.38%), because patients satisfaction gives a direct impact on patients loyalty making patients revisit health services.

Abstract

Patient satisfaction in health care is a key indicator of the success of health service delivery. Reliability is the ability to provide the promised service immediately, accurately and satisfactorily. If the reliability dimension is not implemented properly it will cause problems so that it can affect patient satisfaction. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the reliability dimension on patient satisfaction at the Padang Bulan Community Health Center in Medan. Data collection was carried out by in-depth interviews (in-depth interviews). Data analysis was performed descriptively and presented in narrative form. The sample in this study were 4 patients and 2 health workers with a total of 6 people. The results showed that there was an influence on the speed of health checks, accuracy of service schedules, and health workers provided clear information on patient satisfaction at the Padang Bulan Community Health Center in Medan.

Abstract

COVID-19 pandemic has threatened public health all over the world. All healthcare professionals especially nurses are at risk of experiencing health problems either physically or psychologically. One of which is burnout syndrome. This research aimed to identify burnout syndrome among nurses. The research applied a descriptive analytics design with a cross-sectional approach. The samples were 134 nurses in a hospital in Magelang regency who obtained from purposive sampling. The data were gathered through Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). Then, the data were analyzed through mean value distribution. The results showed that nurses' burnout syndrome was in a low category. Furthermore, the nurses' emotional exhaustion was in the moderate category, depersonalization was in a low category, and reduced personal accomplishment was in a low category.

Abstract

The problem of infection in nursing services in the hospital and in health care facilities is that Healthcare-associated infections are still high. The compliance rate in implementing Infection Prevention and Control is still low. Nurses' non-compliance with Infection Prevention and Control implementation can be found in the ward with a variety of causative factors. This study aims to analyze the factors associated with nurse compliance in implementing infection prevention and control in the hospital. The method used was quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The respondents consisted of 34 implementing nurses at hospital X in Jakarta. The results showed a significant relationship between nurses 'knowledge (pv 0.01; α 0.05), motivation, (pv 0.04; α 0.05) and nurses' perceptions (pv 0.02; α 0.05) on adherence Infection Prevention and Control implementation, but there is no relationship between attitude factor with the implementation of Infection Prevention and Control (pv 0.51; α 0.05). It is suggested that the support of nursing management, the head of room and service providers are needed to improve nurses' compliance with the implementation of Infection Prevention and Control as a basis for improving the quality of nursing services in hospitals through increasing the knowledge, motivation, and perceptions of nurses in the provision of facilities and infrastructure in infection prevention and control.

Abstract

As the most impacted sector by the pandemic situation, healthcare services should be prepared to encounter the Metaverse era. Hospitals should start thinking strategies to be taken, especially for International Standard Hospital. The aim of the research is to determine and evaluate the effectiveness of shifting business strategy conducted by BIMC Siloam Nusa Dua Bali Hospital in encountering metaverse era. Qualitative and quantitative data is used in this research by using techniques of collecting data through interviews, observation, and documentation. Research informants as many as 8 people, the Chief Executive Officer, top management representatives, and operational representatives. For triangulation informants were represented by the Chief of Management, the Chief of Operating, and two patients. The used of analysis technique in this research is qualitative analysis. The result research indicate the occurrence of shifting business strategy initially with (1) main market is from foreign tourist turning onto domestic tourist, local residents and expats, (2) the existence of digitalization service innovations, and (3) the emergence of new product, Crisalix Virtual Aesthetics, and Bariatric Surgery.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the provision of resources in the implementation of Tuberculosis - Multi Drugs Resistance (MDR-TB) treatment service in “X” Hospital. The research type is qualitative research with in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation. The main informants are health workers who have been trained and involved in MDR-TB treatment service while the triangulation informants are MDR-TB patients and the Head of Community Health Center. Existing data is collected, reduced, presented, evaluated, drawn conclusion and verified with 5 components of resources studied, namely the components of labor, facilities, logistics, funding and work methods or procedures. In this study, information was obtained that the implementation of MDR-TB treatment service in “X” Hospital must be supported by adequate preparation of resources by following applicable regulations. Therefore, an appropriate and measurable planning mechanism is needed so that in the preparation of resource requirements namely personnel, funding, facilities and logistics, as well as working methods or procedures in MDR-TB treatment service, can be calculated accurately and measurably to develop service.

Abstract

In the universal health coverage era, clinical pathways are generally applied in hospitals for quality and cost control. The utilization of clinical pathways has been widely used and researched. However, limited qualitative research has analyzed the phenomena and challenges for implementing the clinical pathway in Indonesia. This study aims to explore a depth perspective about the challenges in the implementation of the clinical pathway. The results of this study offer alternatives that can complement existing studies and encourage improvement in the use of clinical pathways in Indonesia. This study uses a single case study qualitative approach and descriptive method to describe the challenges of implementing clinical pathways in private hospitals. The challenges encountered were awareness problems, workload imbalances, different perceptions of doctors, and suboptimal hospital management.

Abstract

Introduction: The quality of hospital services is one of the indicators. Its function as a health care provider by creating satisfaction through health services with the best quality, in its implementation will synergize with clinical risk management one of the surgical services. Purpose and Method: The purpose of research is to analyze the implementation of clinical risk management surgery in supporting the quality of hospital services, This research was conducted at Arifin Achmad Riau, with a qualitative approach to rapid assessment procedure research design through observation, in-depth interview and triangulation analysis. The number of informants as many as 8 people following the rules purposively. Results: Informed consent has been understood and filled in according to regulations, although there are sometimes unreadable and incomplete writings, but generally good with the marked lack of prosecution. Surgical Safety Checklist is good. Preoperative and postoperative diagnosis discrepancy recording and reporting sourced from the operating report sheet has been done well and understands what is meant in accordance with regulations. For the formation of the operations team is still dominated in the superior services and the implementation of consultation during operations has been well underway, although there are still constraints namely the limited availability of operating rooms and evaluation of operations team activities that have not been regularly carried out. Conclusion: Implementation of good clinical risk management implementation of surgery is proven to support the quality of service in Arifin Achmad Hospital, implementation of operations team and consultation during surgery in order to be maximized.

Abstract

In the construction of a Dental and Oral Teaching Hospital, the presence of the Faculty of Dentistry also played a role. In an effort to improve the quality of dentists and services to the wider community, each Faculty of Dentistry must have a Dental and Oral Hospital (RSGM). Operation-based costing is an accounting information system that describes the various activities carried out within an entity and collects costs associated with goods based on activities undertaken to produce, operate and distribute or assist the product concerned. To determine and realize dental and oral-service costs using the ABC method at the radiology unit of dental and oral hospital Unimus. This research is a qualitative descriptive case study design with an open-ended method in the form of Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the chairman and management of dental hospital Unimus. Based on the results of the calculation of dental and oral-service costs at the radiology unit in Unimus Oral and Dental Hospital using the ABC method was Rp. 193.037 for Cephalometric Radiograph, Rp. 162.624 for Orthopantomographic (OPG), Rp. 138.181 for bitewing radiograph and Rp. 162.624 for temporomandibular joint radiograph (TMJ).
