Abstract

Student delinquency has become a worrying phenomenon. Till now, there has been no study that has looked at students' delinquency from the Psycho-Spiritual Healing approach using the Koran perspective with the tahsin and tahfidz models. This paper aimed to complement the shortcomings of previous studies that ignore the contribution of the Koran in solving students' delinquency problems. The application of the tahsin and tahfidz models was carried out in three stages. The first was to get students accustomed to reading and memorizing Koran. The second was disciplining students, and the third was evaluating student achievement.

Abstract

Tests can directly impact educational processes in various ways. It means that the test may influence the students and the teachers. This influence is called washback or backwash. Washback or backwash is generally known as the effect of testing on teaching and learning (Djuric, 2008). The local government usually prepares formative and summative tests in the school while the teachers design the progress test. This research investigates the washback effect of the English progress test on the students and teachers in one reputable senior high school in Yogyakarta. This research used a qualitative descriptive method. Interviews and focus group discussions were used as methods of data gathering. The respondents were three English teachers and 16 students of12th-grade at a public senior high school in Yogyakarta. The research focused on how the progress test gave a washback effect to the teachers as the test developers and what the students' perception was of the washback effect of the progress test. It concluded that washback effects for teachers depended on 1) focusing on the objective of teaching, 2) the teaching materials, and 3) the teaching methodology. Meanwhile, the effects on students were 1) influencing the learning strategy, 2) preparation for doing tests, 3) improving the learning motivation, the learning mastery, and the learning-teaching atmosphere.

Abstract

Paradigms in the era of digitalization, particularly in the field of education in the use of Blended Learning in collaboration with the STEM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as a guide for teachers in technological development capable of raising the standard of education in Indonesia. In class 5 SD N 3 Bangsa, a quantitative sampling model with probability is used as the research methodology. using observational and questionnaire data gathering methods, up to 32 students served as respondents. According to the statistical analysis, there is a substantial correlation between STEM-based Blended Learning and primary school student grasp of mathematics, with a significance value of 0.668. Blended Learning with a STEM focus significantly enhances students' mathematical comprehension of cube nets. Students struggle with smartphone operation uncertainty. It is okay to apply this learning technique for teaching social sciences, math, and science.

Abstract

This research employs a quantitative approach to investigate the relationships among Age, Grit, Self Efficacy, and Academic Stress. The study ensures ethical compliance by obtaining participants' informed consent and employing offline data collection through structured questionnaires. A diverse sample is drawn from the Student of Islamic Boarding senior high School Banyumas, Indonesia, using the simple random sampling method. A total of 115 participants, predominantly female (69.6%), with a mean age of 17 years (40.0%), contributed to the study. The Student-Life-Stress Inventory (SSI) Scale, Grit-S Scale, and General Self-Efficacy Scale are used to measure the variables. Results reveal no significant differences between sex groups regarding Grit, Academic Stress, and Self Efficacy scores (all p-values > 0.05). The correlation matrix underscores non-significant associations between variables, emphasizing the absence of strong linear relationships. These findings highlight the need for an in-depth exploration of additional factors influencing academic stress experiences and call for more comprehensive research designs to unravel the intricate dynamics shaping student well-being.
