Abstract

Green grass jelly leaf (Cyclea barbata Miers) is a plant that has many benefits with the content of green grass jelly leaves (Cyclea barbata Miers) which are carbohydrates, fats, proteins and other compounds such as polyphenols, flavonoids and minerals such as calcium, phosphorus, vitamin A, and vitamin B. This study aims to determine the comparison of the results of the phytochemical screening of infusion and green grass jelly leaf extract (Cyclea barbata Miers). This research is a type of experimental research conducted at the Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Analysis STIKES Muhammadiyah Klaten. The research stages included sample preparation, extraction process, and phytochemical screening. The data analysis of this research is in the form of qualitative, the data is presented in tabular form and then the results are described. The results of phytochemical screening on green grass jelly leaves showed that the maceration and infusion processes of green grass jelly leaves contain flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins. The difference is in the color change that occurs from the results of determining the flavonoid compounds, the results show that the color of the maceration extract is brownish yellow, while the color in the infusion is yellow. The conclusion of this study shows that green grass jelly leaf extract contains flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins.

Abstract

Acetosal which at low doses can be efficacius as an antiplatelet. Acetosal chewable tablet thereby increasing compliance in taking the drug. The aim of this study was to know the effect of polivini pirolidone (PVP) concentration to physical properties and to find out the concentration of PVP which produces the best physical properties. Acetosal chewable tablet is made by direct compression method into 3 formulas with variations concentrations of PVP binder, the first (FI) is using PVP 1%, the second (FII) PVP 3%, the thirth (FIII) PVP 5%. The tablet evaluation included weight uniformity, hardness, friability, disintegration time, liking and responsiveness. The homogeneous analysis used the one-way ANOVA method and the post hoc LSD test, then if the data were not homogeneous, the Kruskall-Wallis test and the Mann-Whitney test. The results showed that the variation in the concentration of PVP as a binder had an effect on the physical properties of acetosal chewable tablets, namely the increase in PVP could increase the brittleness of the tablets, reduce the hardness and disintegration time of the tablets. The PVP 3% concentration in formula II produced the best physical properties of acetosal chewable tablets, namely fulfilling the requirements for weight uniformity, hardness 4,549 ± 0,306 kg, friability 0,183 ± 0,076 %, disintegration time 14,20 ± 0,255 minutes and can be accepted by consumers in the preference and taste response test.

Abstract

Drug Information Services (PIO) at this time is not just delivering drugs but drugs must be clearly informed to patients so that patients are not mistaken in using the drugs received. A service is considered good if it is in accordance with established standards. This study aims to determine the suitability of information services carried out by Pharmacists in Apotek Kecamatan Tulung Kabupaten Klaten. This research is descriptive in nature using total sampling. The sample in this study were 3 Pharmacists. The results showed that the suitability of drug information service (PIO) in Apotek Kecamatan Tulung Kabupaten Klaten was the most frequently performed namely explaining the time of use of the drug 100% always done and explaining the amount of drug taken at the time drinking in patient 100% always done while explaining the side effects medication from drugs given to patients 100% rerely done.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure can be interpreted as an increase in systolic and diastolic blood pressure of more than 140 mmHg. Hypertension is often referred to as the silent disease. One of the determining factors for the success of therapy in hypertensive patients is adherence to taking antihypertensive drugs. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between medication adherence to the success of therapy in hypertensive patients at Prambanan Public Health Center, Sleman. This research is a non-experimental research with analytical survey method and cross sectional design. The study was conducted on 100 respondents who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The research was conducted from January to February 2020. The research instrument used was the MMAS-8 questionnaire which had been tested for validity and reliability. The relationship between the level of adherence and the success of therapy was analyzed using the Chi-Square test. Patient adherence rate was 32% high, 44% moderate, and 24% low. Patients who achieved therapeutic success were 57% and did not achieve therapeutic success as much as 43%. Based on the results of statistical analysis using the Chi-Square test, the results showed P = 0.037. This shows that there is a significant relationship between medication adherence to the success of therapy in hypertensive patients at Prambanan Public Health Center, Sleman.

Abstract

Leucaena stem ( Leucaena leucochapala ) was a plant that has been widely known and used as a medicinal treatment. This plant contains tanins, saponins and flavonoids. Was to know the toxicity for ethanol extract of (Leucaena leucochepala) towards (Ascaridia galli) with in vitro method. In this study there were 10 serial dilutions of the dose, the highest dose was 5000 µg/ml of ethanol extract of Leucaena leucochepala plus 0,3 ml of DMSO and dilution with NaCl 0,9. Used 150 tail worm’s added 15 tails to control. The result is observed by 24 hours. Data have been obtained by calculating amount of died worm’s 24 hours after treatment. Through the data, LC50 value was analyzed by probit analysis. This experimental’s result was a significant correlation betweenconcentrations of petai cina extract and worm’s death. The results of the probit analysis showed LC50 price of ethanol extract of Leucaena leucochepala was 5751,451 µg/ml. It means that the petai cina stem has toxic potential because it LC50 is < 1000 µg/ml. Extract of ethanol stems petai cina producted showed that the test toxicity acutely one plants with the in vitro declared toxic. And the price LC50 that established is 5751,451 µg/ml declared toxic.
