Abstract

There has been a significant decrease in public interest in the use of the Jatim Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. The present matter has a substantial impact on the decline in revenue for Perum Damri. The primary aim of this study is to evaluate the service quality of Jatim Bus Rapid Transit in Jatim, with the ultimate goal of improving public participation in this specific kind of public transportation. The results of this study reveal a significant discrepancy of -1.49, suggesting a divergence between the perceptions and anticipations of participants regarding the operating hours of the Jatim Bus Rapid Transit system. The majority of participants, comprising 64 individuals (68.1%), expressed a lack of familiarity with the operational hours of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. Additionally, they reported experiencing frequent occurrences of delayed bus arrivals at authorized bus stops. The participants conveyed their expectations regarding the clear and explicit operational hours (arrival and departure) of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system. A narrower gap, tending towards zero or a positive value, signifies a heightened degree of service quality demonstrated by the organization. Conversely, when the magnitude of the gap expands, there is a corresponding decline in the degree of service quality offered by a firm. The notable decrease in the public interest and the significant discrepancy in perceptions of the Jatim Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system’s operating hours reveals a pressing need for Perum Damri, the provider, to enhance service quality, particularly addressing issues of operational transparency and punctuality. Hence, it is crucial for service-oriented entities such as Perum Damri, the provider of the Jatim Bus Rapid Transit in Jatim, to prioritize the enhancement of service quality, with a specific focus on locations that demonstrate the most significant discrepancies as indicated by the available data.

Abstract

Rapid economic development contributes to environmental sustainability. Some of the negative impacts caused by irresponsible economic activity are air pollution, water pollution, and damage to biodiversity, which ultimately contribute to climate change. This study aims to determine the role of green sukuk in sustainable development efforts in the Maqasid Sharia review. Green Sukuk is an innovative financial instrument based on Sharia principles to support Indonesia's commitment to address climate change. Awareness of the sustainability of nature is the basis for environmentally sound development. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods with data collection techniques, namely literature and research studies obtained from scientific journals, scientific articles, books, and research reports that contain information on green sukuk, sustainable development, Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), and Maqasid Sharia. The results of this study explain that the integration of green sukuk in sustainable development efforts is in line with Maqasid Sharia, which aims to provide benefits for the community. There are still relatively few studies that discuss the Maqasid Sharia perspective about green sukuk. Thus, this study contributes to the literature on Islamic finance and sustainable development by offering a new perspective on the potential of green sukuk in supporting SDGs and addressing the challenges of climate change in accordance with Sharia principles.

Abstract

This study conducts a comprehensive bibliometric analysis of research on organizational climate and performance in higher education. The analysis identifies a significant trend in publication patterns, noting a paucity of relevant studies from the early 1980s to 2016. However, from 2016 to 2023, there has been a consistent increase in the number of articles published, reflecting a growing recognition of the significance of organizational climate and performance in higher education. Most publications focus on trade, management, tourism, and services, with substantial contributions from education policy, sociology, philosophy, and related fields. Indonesia leads in publication output, followed by the USA, Malaysia, and Australia. The top-cited articles explore various topics, including the relationship between organizational culture, climate, and employee turnover, servant leadership approaches, university departmental climate, research excellence assessment, and trust dynamics. Although bibliometric analysis may not capture all research activities, this study provides valuable insights into the current research landscape. Future research directions may include investigating specific mechanisms linking organizational climate, work environment, satisfaction, and engagement across different sectors, examining the role of organizational behavior in employee productivity, and assessing and enhancing performance measurement systems.

Abstract

Digitalization has become an essential component for modern businesses, and without it, companies struggle to keep pace in the era of Industry 4.0. However, there is still limited research on the impact of digitalization within Islamic or Sharia-compliant businesses. This study aims to explore digitalization in Islamic business, focusing specifically on Indonesia. The research employs a narrative review methodology, analyzing existing literature on Islamic business to provide a comprehensive overview of the importance of digitalization. The findings reveal that digitalization offers numerous advantages for businesses, including those in the Islamic sector. Islamic banks, as a key component of Islamic business, were among the first to embrace digitalization. The study also highlights that stakeholder support in Indonesia for the digitalization of Islamic businesses is sufficiently robust. This research provides a unique perspective on the evolution of digitalization in Islamic enterprises and is intended to encourage further studies in the field of Islamic business in the context of Industry 4.0.

Abstract

Islamic banking is a financial system that is based on Islamic law (Sharia) and is influenced by Islamic economics. The Islamic financial system is supported by four primary pillars: the Islamic banking system, the Islamic money market, Islamic insurance (takaful), and the Islamic capital market. These systems provide alternative funding sources. Conversely, social banks are established to utilize financial services to generate a positive impact on society and the environment. Consequently, consumers perceive Islamic banks, depositors, and the broader community as having both economic and social responsibilities. The fundamental principles of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are eradicating poverty and promoting sustainable development. The parallels between Islamic and social institutions will be the focus of this investigation. The significance of the two institutions in advancing the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) will be underscored in this research.
