Majapahit Journal of Islamic Finance and Management (MJIFM) (E-ISSN 2798-0170) is a journal published by Universitas KH. Abdul Chalim Mojokerto Indonesia four times a year (March, June, September and December). As the name implies, the journal brings two major themes, namely Islamic Finance and Business Management. The journal invites scholars, practitioners, and researchers to submit articles to the management team. Articles submitted will be published after being verified and modified to suit the standard international journals. MJIFM limits only the article publication related to two major themes having been mentioned.

Abstract

The company's organizational goals can be achieved through several strategies used in determining competitive advantage, namely by using various strategies, namely by identifying the company's internal and external factors, including the role of the workforce or employees. In addition, it also develops product services through digitization that is more flexible and convenient for customers, such as the use of a single system, which means that now Bank Syariah Indonesia has one core banking system, one enterprise data, one bank code code 451, and one financial reporting. under the name Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI). This study aims to measure BSI's opportunities in achieving the target of becoming the top 5 in the national banking industry. This research is a research with a qualitative descriptive approach. This research was carried out at Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Molyosari Surabaya, the subjects of this research were the Branch Manager (BM), Micro Relationship and Manager Team Leader (MRMTL), Consumer Bussines Staff (CBS), Customer Service (CS), Branch Operation and Service Manager (BOSM). The data collection method in this study used interviews, observation, and documentation, then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. Through the findings in this study, it is hoped that the right and measurable strategy will be obtained in achieving the target of the top 5 banks in Indonesia

Abstract

cabang Palengaan  in running a sharia pawnshop business (rahn). By using the descriptive method with the approach. The findings of this study are based on the Sharia Pawn (Rahn) mechanism in Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil BMT Mawaddah cabang Palengaan, First, the pawn contracts used are rahn and ijarah contracts. Second, the customer disbursement process will be subject to administrative and ujrah fees. Third, there is a process of determining the loan ceiling that will be given to customers. Fourth, the repayment process applies 2 ways, namely, the installment model and repayment at the 3 month maturity date. Fifth, if there are customers who are unable to pay off loans according to maturity, there are 2 ways of handling them, namely, taking a direct approach to provide settlement solutions and the auction process. Academic recommendations from this research, there is a need for further research with a wider unit of analysis.

Abstract

Pengelolaan dan pengembangan sumber daya manusia menjadi hal yang sangat penting bagi organisasi atau Perusahaan. Aspek bisnis dan manajemen di Indonesia menerima dampak dari perkembangan globalisasi. Pengembangan dan peningkatan kinerja karyawan merupakan prioritas dan tantangan yang harus dihadapi dalam menyambut era globalisai saat ini. Pendekatan Total Quality Management (TQM) dapat mengidentifikasi apa saja bagian-bagian perusahaan yang harus diperbaiki dan mana yang harus diganti termasuk pada produktifitas kinerja pada karyawan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah mengetahui manajemen sumber daya manusia dan total quality management sebagai upaya peningkatan kinerja perusahaan pada PT. CDE. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah jenis penelitian kuantitatif, dengan total sampel 100 karyawan dengan pendekatan struktural Equation Model (SEM) dengan bantuan smart PLS. Hasil dalam penelitian ini ialah Manajemen Sumber Daya Manusia memiliki pengaruh positive signifikan terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan dengan nilai p-velue sebesar 0.033. Total Quality Management memiliki pengaruh positive signifikan terhadap Kinerja Perusahaan dengan nilai p-velue sebesar 0.000.

Abstract

Financing is one of the products owned by Islamic financial institutions which can help economic growth, the greater the financing provided, the greater the risks involved. Risks that must be considered are financing risks, risks that cannot be handled seriously, and the need for good and appropriate financing risk management to minimize the occurrence of risks that will arise from various activities within Islamic financial institutions. The purpose of this observation is to determine the application of financing risk management in mudharabah financing at Bank Mega Syariah Surabaya. This data collection technique was carried out by interview observation and further analysis then conclusions were drawn. The results of this observation indicate that the Implementation of Risk Management in mudharabah financing at Bank Mega Syariah Surabaya uses 4 stages, namely risk identification, risk measurement, risk monitoring, and risk control. In the risk management process, the risk identification stage in the mudharabah financing process uses the 5C principles which include character, capacity, capital, collateral, and conditions.

Abstract

In the last five years, BTPN Syariah has continued to show progress, from year to year the assets owned have continued to increase accompanied by an increase in disbursed financing. Nevertheless, BTPN Syariah was able to reduce the NPF to below 2.5% with the disbursed financing being at 10 trillion, even though the disbursed financing is collateral-free financing and is given to pre/prosperous communities. The purpose of this study is to find out and understand what kind of procedures are applied to this collateral-free financing. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method with the type of field research (field research), the collection technique used is observation and in-depth interviews.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether mudharabah financing helps in increasing profitability at Bank Permata Syariah Surabaya. The type of research used is qualitative research because this research is mini-research in nature, where researchers have to meet directly with informants and through a literature study method where data sources are taken and collected from books, journals, previous research, or websites which are then read and processed into the material. The study based on results of the study found that mudharabah financing also helped increase the profitability of Bank Permata Syariah Surabaya. There are several factors that influence the decline in mudharabah financing in increasing profitability including decreasing customer interest in mudharabah financing and increasing customers experiencing financing problems.

Abstract

BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Bandaran, Tlanakan Sub-Branch Office offers various products needed by the community such as financing products, funding products, and service products. One of the financing products available at the BPRS Bhakti Sumekar is iB Maslahah’s Gold Partner a gold-backed qardh product in which the bank provides financing facilities to customers with gold collateral. The study aims to determine what are the risks experienced by financing gold pawning products and how the risk management process is carried out by BPRS Bhakti Sumekar in Sharia gold pawning financing products. This research is a type of qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data was obtained by interview, observation, and documentation. Data credibility test uses triangulation data credibility test. While data analysis techniques use: Data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Thus, based on the analysis of Sharia gold pawning financing risk at BPRS Bhakti Sumekar Bandaran, Tlanakan the highest risk is market risk, operational risk, and strategic risk. While compliance risk, legal risk, credit risk, reputation risk, and liquidity risk have low risks.

Abstract

Ngingas Village is one of the villages that has a metal industrial center and is commonly referred to as a metal village. Ngingas Village itself is located in Waru District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java Province. This village is neighboring Pandean Village which was formerly the originator of the metal industry. Ngingas became lively because metal production was varied and more in demand. Indeed, the Pandean area itself is a well-known metal-producing productive area in Sidoarjo. Even at a glance, people will not know that Pandean Village and Ngingas Village have the same special industrial center. Ngingas Village is a small, densely populated village whose majority of the population embraces Islam and has the same livelihood, namely working in the home metal industry, so it needs to be explored more deeply, which is research whose data is obtained from the actual location. While the method used is descriptive qualitative, namely the data obtained are presented in the form of interviews, documentation, and triangulation and then described so as to provide clarity.

Abstract

This study aims to examine Indonesia's economic diplomacy efforts in dealing with the Renewable Energy Directive (RED) and palm oil policies in the European Union. This economic diplomacy effort is a step to deal with the impact caused by policies implemented by the European Union. The method used is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques in the form of literature review related to the problem under study. This literature includes books, journals, written reports, articles, news collections on the internet, and documents related to the object of research. Furthermore, the data analysis technique used is qualitative. The results found that in dealing with the policy, Indonesia used commercial diplomacy by cooperating with stakeholders to form FoKSBI, as well as making ISPO policies and suing the European Union regarding its claims

Abstract

This research aims to know the role of zakat productive in empowering poor communities identified as mustahik in entrepreneurship. Zakat which is allocated for mustahik can be used as venture capital whereas businesses developed by mustahik are generally still small-scale, which is not accessible by the bank. The mentoring process includes planning, implementation, monitoring, and control as well as an evaluation of the program, becoming one of the board programs to manage productive zakat, so the expectation of creating economic circulation, increasing the productivity of the business community, and increasing revenue/economic outcomes will sustainable. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method to see the influence of zakat productive to the empowerment of the poor through the poverty index. This research uses primary data and secondary data. Primary data obtained from the survey results from the results of the dissemination of the questionnaire, and conduct in-depth interviews with program managers Productive Zakat in Baznas and mustahik as community empowerment program participants through Productive Zakat. Secondary data was obtained from the report Program BAZNAS on the internet, some literature, and articles. The results of the study showed overall mustahik said BAZNAS's productive economic program has been running very well.
