Abstract

This research is entitled: "Efforts to Increase Student Interest in Catholic Religious Education through the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model for Class XI Students of SMAN 11 PEKANBARU."The aim of this research is to improve student learning outcomes with creative and critical thinking material on church social teachings through the problem based learning (PBL) learning model for class XI students at SMAN 11 PEKANBARU. The method used in this research is Action Research which consists of 2 (two) cycles, and each cycle consists of: Planning, Implementation, Observation and reflection. Based on the results of action research, the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model can improve learning outcomes for creative and critical thinking material on church social teachings for class XI students at SMAN 11 PEKANBARU, Tenayan Raya District, Pekanbaru City. Furthermore, the researcher recommends: (1) Teachers who experience the same difficulties can apply the PBL Learning Model to improve Learning Outcomes for Creative and Critical Thinking Materials on Church Social Teachings for Class XI Students. (2) In order to get maximum results, teachers are expected to better understand the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Learning Model.

Abstract

Education is a fundamental pillar in nation-building, and continuous efforts are required to enhance the quality of education. The Merdeka Curriculum, implemented in Indonesia, includes Catholic Religious Education and Character Education. However, SMA Xaverius Lubuklinggau faces challenges in improving students' learning outcomes in these subjects, particularly in Phase F of Grade XII in the Science Program. The issues are related to character and academic achievements. This research proposes a solution by implementing the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model assisted by multimedia. The aim of the study is to evaluate the improvement of students' learning outcomes in the aspects of faithful attitude and academic achievement. Through classroom action research with two cycles using tests and observations as data collection techniques, the results indicate that the PBL model assisted by multimedia is effective in enhancing students' learning outcomes. Focusing on the Dialog and Cooperation Among Religious Communities material, this research contributes to a deeper understanding of how innovative approaches can improve the quality of education, particularly in the context of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education at SMA Xaverius Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increased learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education subjects for grade 4 students at SDN 17 Sadaniang. This research uses a classroom research method carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The average score students obtained when using the PBL model in the first cycle was 69%, and in the second cycle, it was 85%, according to the research results for the two processes. If the PBL learning model is implemented well and consistently, it will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Learning that integrates literacy abilities, knowledge skills, skills and attitudes, as well as mastery of technology is 21st century learning. The characteristics of 21st Century learning are learning that must prepare the generation for advances in Information and Communication Technology (ICT or ICT) which are developing very quickly. These technological developments affect various aspects of life, including the learning process. 21st century learning is integrated with the independent curriculum, the development of which is a further step in developing the 2013 curriculum. At the junior high school level there are still students who lack motivation to study Catholicism. In particular, when presenting material or subjects about the Passion and death of Jesus in Class VIII, SMPN 5 Katingan Hilir, Katingan Regency, Central Kalimantan, from year to year there are always students who experience difficulties in learning so that learning outcomes do not match the expectations of the standards that have been set. . The assessment of Catholic Religious Education and Character at SMPN 5 Katingan downstream is expected to achieve a minimum good attitude score, a minimum knowledge score of 75, and a minimum skills score of proficient. To achieve the goals mentioned above, a learning approach that is quite challenging for teachers is the project-discovery learning approach. Learning Catholicism in schools apart from developing faith education, also has the function of forming good personality or character. Therefore, a learning model that is student-oriented is needed, so that they are able to develop critical thinking skills and solve problems faced in everyday life. Discovery Learning is a learning model that can be applied to independent curriculum history learning because it can encourage students to think critically, have problem solving skills, connect knowledge about problems and real world issues. Based on the description above, it is hoped that this classroom action research can increase motivation and learning achievement in Catholic Religious Education Subjects. The use of the Discovery Learning Model that matches the syntax in learning Catholic Religious Education in class VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Katingan Hilir, material or subject matter about the Passion and death of Jesus, is very effective in increasing student motivation and learning achievement, which can be seen from the pre-cycle student learning motivation in the good category was 40%, increased in cycle I by 73.33% and in cycle II increased by 90%. The increase in student learning achievement can be seen through the average post test score in the first cycle stage, namely 77, then an increase to 89 in the second cycle post test. The improvement looks significant for students who need attention and guidance from teachers and classmates. This can be seen from students who increased quite high by 8%.

Abstract

This research aims to enhance the independence and learning achievement of 12th grade students at SMKN 1 Delang by applying the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model supported by video media. The research utilized Classroom Action Research (CAR) conducted in two cycles. Each cycle consists of several stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research are 12th grade students of SMKN 1 Delang. The instruments used in this study were tests and observation sheets. The findings indicate an increase in independence from 25,92% in the first cycle to 42% in the second cycle, coupled with an improvement in classical completeness of learning achievement from 25,93% in the first cycle to 53% in the second. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the application of the PBL model supported by video media can improve learning outcomes in diversity material. On the basis of this research, the researcher suggests the following: (1) The application of the problem-based learning model supported by video media can be used in other learning materials. (2) This research needs to be followed up with other innovative and creative media so that students are motivated and interested in learning.

Abstract

Improving the Learning Outcomes of KLS IV Students through a Problem-Based Learning Model on the Material Jesus Proclaims the Kingdom of God in SD Negeri 9 Cinta Maju. This research was motivated by the low learning achievement of grade IV students of SD N 9 Cinta Maju in catholic religious subjects, especially on the material Jesus proclaiming the kingdom of God through His parables and miracles. This is because Catholic religious learning tends to be teacher-centered by relying more on the lecture method. Therefore, this research was conducted with the aim of improving student learning outcomes in catholic religious education, especially on the material Jesus proclaims the kingdom of God through parables and His Miracles through the Problem Based Learning Model in grade IV SD Negeri 9 Cinta Maju year Lesson 2023/2024. This research belongs to the type of class action research (PTK) conducted with 2 Cycles. The subjects in this study were grade IV students of SD Negeri 9 Cinta Maju.The techniques and data collection tools used were tests, conservation / observation and documentation while the data analysis used was the analysis of student learning outcomes from two aspects, namely affective aspects and cognitive learning outcomes of students. The results showed an increase in student creativity in learning catholicism using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) method. With the problem-based learning method, students have the skills to think critically and analytically so that student learning outcomes can increase above the average score and students can more easily understand and understand the subject matter about the proclamation of the kingdom of God and also His miracles.So that students have the ability to relate the material to the reality faced and encountered daily.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of class 12 IPS 1 students at SMA Talenta Bandung. The aim of this research is to determine the impact of implementing the video-assisted Problem Based Learning model on students' learning outcomes and mutual cooperation abilities. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK). This research procedure uses C. Kemmis and Mc Taggart's spiral model, which consists of four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects of this research were 21 grade 12 IPS 1 SMA Talenta Bandung students, consisting of 13 male students and 8 female students. Data collection techniques are carried out through observation and learning results tests. Data from observations and tests are then processed using descriptive analysis to describe the situation of increasing achievement of success indicators for each cycle for each variable. The results of the research show that the Problem Based Learning model assisted by video media is proven to be able to improve learning outcomes and mutual cooperation abilities of class 12 IPS 1 SMA Talenta Bandung students. This can be seen from the increase in student learning outcomes from the initial test to second cycle. In the initial test, only 3 students (14%) completed the test, while 18 students (86%) did not complete it. In the first cycle, 12 students had completed it (57%), while 9 students had not completed it (43%). In the second cycle, 19 students (90%) completed it, while 2 students (10%) did not complete it. In the ability of mutual cooperation, there has also been an improvement. In the first cycle, students' mutual cooperation ability was at 74% and in the second cycle, mutual cooperation ability reached 92%.

Abstract

Catholic Religious Education as one of the subjects taught at the basic education level. Religious education here takes a central role in moral education because it is only in the context of religion that a student's life experience can be seen through the lens of faith, being an experience of faith so that what is taught to students about morality will truly take root in the student's heart. This is what needs to be understood by all education actors, especially schools and teachers so that the education carried out in schools really develops students holistically. Students are expected to be skilled in applying it in everyday life, but the reality in the field is that children experience many difficulties, especially the low motivation of students to learn on my unique personal material. One of the efforts to improve student learning outcomes is the Problem Based Learning Method. As a formulation of the problem in this study, can the Problem Based Leraning Method improve the learning outcomes of grade IV Phase B students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am Personal Who is Unique in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year? And how is the application of Problem Based Leraning in improving the learning outcomes of grade IV Phase B students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am Personal Unique odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year? The purpose of this study was to improve the learning outcomes of grade IV students of SD Negeri 20 Sengkabang Muntik on the material I Am a Unique Person. The subjects in this study were 5 Catholic grade IV students of State Elementary School 20 Sengkabang Muntik. Research activities are carried out for four months starting from the planning stage to the preparation of reports. The research procedure is carried out in four steps, namely, planning, implementation, obsercation and reflection. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation analysis. The data analysis used is by comparative descriptive techniques that describe a learning technique with the desired results can be achieved.

Abstract

Students who are accepted at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang are not all in accordance with their main choice, causing low learning independence and learning achievement, so they do not reach the KKTP of 75. This study aims to: 1) Knowing the increase in learning independence in the material of developing a culture of love class XI at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. 2) Knowing the effectiveness of the PBL method in improving student learning outcomes in the material of developing a culture of love class XI at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. This research applies a quantitative descriptive approach, namely making descriptions of a situation objectively using numbers, starting from data collection, interpretation and appearance of the results. The research design is Classroom Action Research conducted in two (2) cycles, on class XI students with a population of 8 people. The results showed that 1) PBL can increase learning independence in the material of developing a culture of love class XI at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. It can be seen that the average independence from 69.94 increased to 78.87%. 2) PBL is effective in improving the achievement of student learning outcomes in the material of developing a culture of love class XI at SMK Negeri 1 Singkawang. It can be seen that proficient 0%, feasible 66.67% and proficient 33.33%, increased to proficient 66.67%, feasible 16.67% and proficient 16.67%. Thus, it can be concluded that the PBL method is effective in increasing independence and learning achievement.

Abstract

The data used is in the form of quantitative data in the form of interest in learning questionnaire results and students' written test results. Data analysis technique uses descriptive qualitative. Based on the research conducted, it was found that interest in learning in cycle I with a low category reached 17%, medium 61% and high reached 0% increased in cycle II with a low category reaching 0%, medium 11% and high reaching 89%. Likewise, the learning outcomes in the first cycle reached 67% incomplete and 33% of the total students passed the KKM (≥75) incomplete and reached 11% incomplete and reached 89% complete in cycle II.Thus it can be concluded that the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective in increasing interest in learning and student learning outcomes.
