Abstract

Education creates quality independent humans who are ready to adapt and compete in facing the challenges of global development. Catholic Religious Education and Character Education is one of the subjects that helps students face these challenges with cognitive, affective and psychomotor abilities, demonstrated through increasing learning independence to achieve learning outcomes. This research aims to increase student learning independence so that learning outcomes are achieved. Seeing the situation of students at SMA Negeri 1 Pollung who lack learning independence, this has a big influence on the process of learning activities, where conduciveness is disrupted. The teaching style used by the teacher is also less creative, only centered on the teacher using the lecture method. To overcome the problem of independent learning for students, especially those who are Catholic, the use of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model or problem-based learning is the appropriate model. The PBL model encourages students to play more of a role in learning activities and the teacher only acts as a facilitator who helps students find their own learning goals. The method used in this research is data collection by observation and assessment. Data is presented in the form of tables, diagrams, descriptions and conclusions drawn from research results. The syntax of the PBL model includes orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations with discussion, presenting and developing results, analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process.

Abstract

Education is currently still believed to be a very effective medium in building independent learning. The learning independence that the author means in this research is related to a condition where students are able to process themselves in making decisions and are responsible for the actions they take. In this research, the author also uses the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. So that the learning process is always related to Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning steps. To achieve the educational goals proclaimed by the government, the author as a Catholic Religious Education teacher wants to take part in it, namely by increasing the learning independence of students in PAK which the author experiences is still very minimal, especially for students who are in the Mentawai Islands Regency and especially class VII students at SMPN 2 Siberut Tengah, with the title class action research : "Increasing the learning independence of class VII students through PBL in PAK and BP at SMPN 2 Siberut Tengah". From the problem formulation, it can be seen that the objectives of this PTK are: 1) To find out how to increase the learning independence of Class VII students through PBL in PAK and BP at SMPN 2 Siberut Tengah?; 2) To find out the activities of teachers and students in the learning process through PBL in PAK and BP class VII at SMPN 2 Siberut Tengah? This type of research is a type of classroom action research carried out in class with two cycles of face-to-face action . The variables in this research are students' learning independence as the dependent variable (variable x) and variable y is the activities of teachers and students in the learning process through PBL in PAK and BP . The primary data source in this research is class VII students at SMPN 2 Central Siberut, Mentawia Islands Regency, who have taken Catholic religious lessons . To obtain this data, the techniques used are observation, tests and documentation. The Hypothesis Analysis and Testing technique is quantitative descriptive , namely comparing the level of learning independence before this research was conducted, namely the initial condition of students' learning independence , the increase in students' independence after action I (cycle I) and the increase in students' independence after action II (cycle II), then reflected. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that there has been an increase in the independence of phase D class VII students in each indicator by implementing the Problem Based Learning model in PAK and BP.

Abstract

The research background is the lack of critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes, apart from that the learning method used is not appropriate, namely using lectures without variation while the characteristics of the material are understanding and analysis. This research aims to find out how to apply the Problem Based Learning model and whether Problem Based Learning can improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes in teaching materials on conscience, critical thinking and responsibility for the influence of mass media by applying the Pancasila profile of critical thinking dimensions. The subjects of this research were students in class X-3 of SMA N 1 Air Putih with a total of 9 students consisting of 2 men and 7 women. This research is classroom action research carried out in 2 cycles. This type of research uses observation, interviews and study test results. The data analysis technique used qualitatively consists of data reduction in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions that refer to the problem formulation. The results of the research show that teacher activity in applying the Problem Based Learning model in the learning process increases at each meeting, as well as student activity increases at each meeting. The application of the Problem Based Learning model can increase students' critical thinking skills from 77.77% in cycle 1 to 96% in cycle 2. Likewise, the application of the Problem Based Learning model can increase student learning outcomes, namely 62.09% in cycle 1, increasing to 93.52% in cycle 2. So, using the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax can improve critical thinking skills and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Religion plays a very important role in human life, so it is necessary to have religious education in order to become a human being who has faith and devotion to God Almighty, has noble character and develops spiritual potential. School is the second place where students develop in their faith through Catholic religious education lessons. However, at SMA Xaverius 1 Palembang they are less interested in participating in PAK lessons, because they are more concerned with other subjects and view PAK lessons as unimportant lessons. For those who are important, complete grades are important, so that they do not understand the content of the material presented. In this research, learning is offered using the problem based learning method assisted by YouTube. Where in learning groups are formed and problems/cases that exist in society are presented. Students are invited to reason critically in solving existing problems. The aim is to create a sense of interest in learning, achieve satisfactory learning outcomes, increase awareness of what occurs in the surrounding environment and increase respect for human life, both oneself and others, in everyday life. This research was carried out as classroom action research, carried out at SMA Xaverius 1 Palembang in class XII IPS 3 on the material "Building a Dignified Life". The variables of this research are critical reasoning and learning achievement using the PBL method. For the critical reasoning variable, data was taken through observation sheets, while for the learning achievement variable data was taken from the post test results. The results of the research, after going through 2 cycles in which reflection was carried out. Here on average we can see an increase in students, the critical reasoning variable from 85.42% to 91.25% with an increase of 5.83% while the learning achievement variable from 82.43% to 88.90% with an increase of 6.47 %. The increase that occurred shows improvements in Catholic religious education and character education lessons with material on building a dignified life using the PBL method assisted by YouTube. In this way, students can learn to reason critically and get the expected results.

Abstract

This research aims to investigate the improvement of students' creativity and learning outcomes on the topic of Sanctifying the Church through the implementation of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method in Phase F at SMAN 1 Siluq Ngurai. The study adopts a reflective classroom action research design. The subjects of the research are students of class XI in Phase F at SMAN 1 Siluq Ngurai. Data collection involves observation and tests, and the obtained data are analyzed descriptively. The research findings reveal that the application of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) model enhances both creativity and learning outcomes of students on the topic of Sanctifying the Church in Phase F at SMAN 1 Siluq Ngurai. This is evidenced by the test results at the end of each cycle, where the score increased from 84% in cycle 1 to 87% in cycle 2. Similar improvements are observed in other indicators. Overall, there is an increase in the average indicator from 77% in cycle 1 to 81% in cycle 2. The students' learning achievements also improved, with the number of students classified as proficient increasing from 83 (25%) in cycle 1 to 5 (42%) in cycle 2. The number of students classified as achieving a satisfactory level decreased from 4 (33%) to 2 (17%). This indicates an improvement of 3 students becoming proficient.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the increased learning outcomes in Catholic Religious Education subjects for grade 4 students at SDN 25 Talhut. This research uses a classroom research method carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of four stages: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The average score students obtained when using the PBL model in the first cycle was 69%, and in the second cycle, it was 85%, according to the research results for the two processes. If the PBL learning model is implemented well and consistently, it will improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The independent curriculum emphasizes the Pancasila student profile. In this classroom action research, the researcher focuses on the dimension of independence which is based on the importance of forming strong character and mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. Improving learning outcomes through the PBL model on the material Jesus Christ Fulfilling God's Promises. The Class Action Research Report in this study aims to find out whether student learning achievement has increased after implementing the Problem Based Learning Model in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education Subjects for Students in Class VIII of One Roof 1 State Middle School, Malan Island in 2023/2024? The research object is the Problem Based Learning (PBL) Model, the form of research is Classroom Action Research with a cycle model, each cycle consists of four stages including: planning stage, implementation stage, observation stage and reflection stage. . The data analysis technique used consists of data reduction by selecting raw data into information, data presentation, namely presenting data in the form of descriptions, graphs, tables and drawing conclusions by making conclusions from research results that refer to the problem formulation. The use of the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax which includes orienting students to problems, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process, is effective in helping increase learning motivation and student independence in material on Jesus Christ Fulfilling God's Promise in class VIII of SMPN Satap 1 Malan Island The data collection technique used by researchers was to observe students' activities guided by the P3 rubric. The results of observations from the three participants from the five students in cycle 1 averaged 74% and in cycle II 88% while the learning outcomes were in cycle! I the average was 81.5%, and in cycle II it increased to an average of 86.2%. The increase was seen to be 14% higher than before.

Abstract

Implementation of the independent curriculum is an effort to restore learning. The main characteristics of this curriculum that support learning recovery are the focus on essential material so that learning is deeper, prioritizing mutual cooperation for the development of competence and character through group learning around real contexts. Family is basically the first and main environment for every person in the process of growth and development. Students will grow into individuals who enjoy working together. Therefore, through the implementation of the Project for Strengthening the Profile of Pancasila Students (P-5) using the Problem Based Learning method, learning begins with problems experienced by students and can find solutions to these problems. Realizing that there is interdependence with each other. The family is a place for sowing the seeds of faith. In fact, in the family, faith is taught, lived, celebrated and practiced in daily life. In this way, you can feel and understand what you feel together as family members. In the end, students are able and willing to give and receive things that are considered valuable in the family so that students' interest and learning achievement in Catholic religious and character education at SMP Negeri 3 North Siberut increases significantly.

This research is based on problems: (1)Is the use of Digital media through ModelsDiscovery Learning can it improve the learning achievement of class VIII Catholic students at SMPN 13 Madiun?; (2) What is the use of Digital media through ModelsDiscovery Learning can it increase the creativity of Catholic students in class VIII SMPN 13 Madiun?; (3) What is the use of Digital media through ModelsDiscovery Learning can support students' interest in participating in learning activities in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character in class VIII SMPN 13 Madiun?. Meanwhile, the objectives of this research are: (1) Improving student learning achievement with digital media through modelsDiscovery Learning, for class VIII Catholic students at SMP Negeri 13 Madiun; (2) Increasing students' creativity with digital media through modelsDiscovery Learning, for Class VIII Catholic students at SMP Negeri 13 Madiun. (3) Increasing students' interest in Catholic Religious Education and Character Education subjects with Digital media through ModelsDiscovery Learning, for class VIII Catholic students at SMP Negeri 13 Madiun. This research used two rounds of action research. Each round consists of four stages, namely: design, activities and observations, reflection, and revision. The research targets were class VIII students at SMP Negeri 13 Madiun. The data obtained is in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of learning activities. Based on the results of the analysis, it is proven that (1) Application of digital learning media modelsDiscovery Learning in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education provide quality benefits for increasing students' achievement and creativity, which is shown in students' answers which state that students enjoy learning by using digital learning media which attracts interest and motivates them to improve their learning to be better. understand and deepen the subject matter. (2) During the learning process using digital learning media modelsDiscovery Learning in the subjects of Catholic Religious Education and Character Education have a positive impact on increasing student learning achievement and students' creativity as evidenced by an increase in students' learning completeness in each cycle, namely cycle I (76.14) and continued in cycle II (80 .57).

Abstract

Children's education is first of all the responsibility of parents, but schools and the Church are also involved in it. The role of parents, the role of society, the role of the Church, and the role of schools are the pillars of education. From the existing problems in PAK learning in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam to increase learning independence and good learning outcomes, this study aims to improve and improve the quality of learning in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam and help empower educators in solving learning problems in the form of innovative learning strategies that can be utilized by other educators who have similar problems. The method the author uses Problem-based learning (PBL) is a learning model in which students are faced with real problems and directed to solve them through investigation and problem solving. The goal is to develop higher-order thinking skills, inquiry, and learner confidence. In this classroom action research, researchers emphasize the dimension of independence based on the importance of character building and strong mental attitudes in the younger generation, especially in facing complex global challenges. This type of research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) which is carried out in collaboration between Catholic religious education teachers and researchers, the data is presented in quantitative descriptive. Data analysis techniques used Observation is a method or way to analyze and make systematic records of behavior to see or observe individuals or groups directly and draw conclusions by making conclusions from the results of research that refers to the formulation of the problem. The use of the Problem Based Learning model according to the syntax which includes orienting students to the problem, organizing students to learn, guiding individual and group investigations, developing and presenting results, analyzing and evaluating the problem solving process, is effective in helping to increase learning motivation and independence of students on the material of developing a culture of love in class XI IPS 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sekayam.
