Abstract

This article presents the meaning of the shepherd in the book of Psalm 23. The meaning of the shepherd today needs to look deeply at what is written in the book of Psalm 23, so that they can emulate what the psalmist wrote. By using a qualitative approach, descriptive method, and literature study as a data collection tool, it was found that the shepherd in the book of Psalm 23 is described by God as a shepherd who cares for and fulfills all the main needs of his sheep. Today's pastors have the task of leading the congregation with an example in life, paying attention to the physical and spiritual needs of the congregation. Pastors must now know the congregation they serve.

Abstract

In James 2:1-13, the overall message reminds us not to show favoritism. In verse 5, it is said that God has chosen the poor to become rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom of heaven. He does this for the poor, so why do humans discriminate against someone based on their wealth or possessions? This is a wrong attitude. The rich often intimidate the poor because they believe that their current wealth defines their happiness, leading some to neglect those around them (the poor). James says that the rich have blasphemed the name of Christ, but you honor them because of their wealth. Whereas the poor have never blasphemed the name of Christ, but you insult them.

Abstract

Catechist participation in lay apostolate in St. Yakobus Mayor Kalibago Barat, such as the areas of life testimony, social participation, contribution of energy, thoughts, are experiencing setbacks caused by a lack of awareness of being involved in the parish, a lack of sense of responsibility, a lack of sensitivity and concern for one another. The purpose of this study is to reveal and describe the concept catechist participation in the lay apostolate. In this study using a type of descriptive qualitative method, regarding catechist participation in lay apostolate. The data obtained in the study were collected through interviews and observation. The data collection system uses in-depth interviews with a number of informants involved in the Catechist participation process, and searches for documents related to participation in online mass media. The results of the study concluded that catechists are inseparable from the lack of awareness of involvement in the parish. Therefore, this research is conducted to make catechists aware of their role in carrying out their duties and responsibilities properly and correctly

Abstract

Nowadays, there are many Christians who only listen to God's word but do not do it or who are said to be more concerned with their fleshly desires, one of which is: slandering fellow humans, rather than doing what God wants them to do. This article aims to explore the meaning of the writing in the letter of James about hearing and doing the word of God. This research uses a qualitative approach, by analyzing various sources such as books, novels, and updates related to the topic of this article. The results of the analysis see the importance of a servant of God interpreting the call to serve God for a positive impact on Christians today. A servant of God must be a blessing and an example in all aspects of life so that the congregation truly becomes a listener and doer of God's word and also believes that there is a God. The contents of this article are presented to make readers aware, especially God's servants, to serve God wholeheartedly and be role models for the congregation, not with other motivations but for the glory of God in enriching themselves to be true and good listeners and doers of God's word.

Abstract

Education is a process of changing a person's behavior through knowledge and life experience that makes him more mature in thought and attitude. Character education is a very important component in building optimal national character. Character building will be effective if done from an early age. Character education is a process of applying moral and religious values to children through science, applying these values to oneself, family, fellow friends, educators and the surrounding environment and God Almighty. In children's character education at home on social behavior at school This research was conducted in an effort to reveal the role of parents in educating children's character whether they have a major contribution in influencing children's social behavior, especially towards children's social behavior in the form of imitation which is the beginning of children's social behavior, children's social behavior towards peers and children's social behavior towards adults around the child. The research method used is the literature study method where the researcher becomes the main instrument in analyzing the books being studied. the importance of the role of parents in instilling discipline in children from an early age so that they are able to develop children's social behavior and the role of the teacher is not only as an educator, but also as an educator of character, morals and culture for students so that a better school atmosphere is created and improves behavior and attitudes between children and each other.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the role of catechists in educating the youth of St. Maria Magdalena Nangahure about the dangers of alcohol. Liquor is a drink that contains alcohol, if consumed excessively and continuously it will be detrimental and dangerous both physically and mentally, thus affecting human behavior and thinking. Other consequences will have an impact on his social life, both with his family and his relationship with the surrounding community. The research subjects were teenagers from St. Maria Mangdalena Nangahure about the dangers of drinking alcohol. The qualitative method is a method that focuses on in-depth observation. Therefore, the use of qualitative methods in research can create a more comprehensive study of a phenomenon. Qualitative research that focuses on humanism or individual and human behavior is a response to the awareness that all consequences of human actions are influenced by internal aspects of the individual.

Abstract

Efficient Leadership for Adolescents Aged 15-18 Years, Which teenagers can help them develop responsibility, leadership skills, and social maturity which are very important for their development. Of course, effective leadership is not just taking control, but also leading with empathy, listening, and providing inspiration to their friends. This is a very important skill and will help them grow and develop in their current and future social environments. A youth leader must also set a good example to others. One of them is Effective Communication. Leaders must be able to understand and respect their peers, of course this really enables them to build good relationships and resolve conflicts. Teenagers who lead must encourage the group to work together. and Youth leaders must continually improve their leadership skills.

Abstract

The family plays a central role in forming children's faith, with parents as the main educators in physical and spiritual aspects. Religious education in the family is directed at acquiring knowledge and attitudes that demonstrate responsibility within the family, church and society. However, previous research shows that children's faith education often receives little attention because parents are busy, especially at an early age. This research aims to illustrate the important role of parents in forming the basis of children's faith, especially at an early age, and supporting their participation in religious activities. The research method used is a qualitative approach with a descriptive approach, using literature reviews from books, journals and related articles.

Abstract

The role of the teacher is a person who occupies a position and plays an important role in the world of education. Teachers act as mentors in their duties, namely educating. Catholic religious teachers in their duties and roles carry out multiple missions, namely as preachers and educators. As a preacher, a Catholic religious teacher takes part of the prophetic task of proclaiming the news of God's Salvation. While as an educator, the task of PAK teachers is to lead students to maturity both physical maturity and spiritual maturity. the research used in this study is descriptive qualitative, with the aim of analyzing how the role of PAK in the education of faith and character of children at school with data analysis techniques using the Miles and Huberman model. The emphasis of Catholic religious teacher education leads to three aspects, namely knowledge, skills, and attitudes that occur in the teaching and learning process systematically. So that character education is expected to be able to form a generation whose existence provides the widest possible benefit to the surrounding environment. Character education in essence is to form a nation that is resilient, competitive, noble, moral, tolerant, mutual cooperation, political spirit, dynamically developing, science and technology oriented, all of which are imbued with faith and piety to God Almighty based on Pancasila.

Abstract

The development of the Church is not only because of its leaders, but also develops thanks to the active role of church members, especially young people who are expected to play an important role in developing the church from time to time with the help of Church members as well. The purpose of this research is to encourage and motivate young people to be able to actively participate in church activities, and to make young people realize that they have an important role in developing the church and also to encourage them to have a spirit of service. This type of research uses descriptive research, where the data that has been collected comes from expert data. Descriptive research is research that seeks to describe a symptom, event, incident that is happening at the present time. Observation techniques in this method are carried out by describing the data that has been collected from library research, where this research is carried out with library sources and discusses some of the theories that are reviewed. The results of the study concluded that building faith in a young person is very important because it has useful benefits and meanings. Young people must also have someone to guide the faith, namely a catechist himself. So that young people: can build a noble and commendable youth personality.
