Currently, English language skills are the most important thing that students should have. In this world there are many ways that can be used to develop English language skills. One way is by using songs. The aim of the research in this article is to find out how successful the use of songs is in developing English language talent in students. This research uses a qualitative study method. The author obtained some data regarding how songs are used to develop students' level of English by assessing previous research and analyzing several guides such as books, articles, journals and documents that are still related to the discussion being tested. From this, the author can draw the conclusion that using songs as a tool to develop improved English language skills, this is the fastest way to develop students' abilities. therefore many songs can be found easily in student life. So songs can easily help students' listening and pronunciation levels. and this song can also help students in using songs. The use of songs can help students to develop listening and pronunciation skills them which can also add to the vocabulary they have.

In the world of education, students' English skills cannot be separated from the learning process provided by teachers. Lecturers, as instructors, strive to provide the best teaching and learning process for their students. English is a course that develops oral and written communication skills, understanding and expressing information. This course is no longer just a grammar course but can also develop students' English communication skills both orally and in writing. For this reason, a creative approach is needed to help students be more active and interesting in learning English. One of the methods proposed by the speakers is to learn English using audio-visual media, including videos, movies and music. In teaching English materials, using this learning material is one of the appropriate learning materials to use. The purpose of this review is to provide strategies for using audiovisual media to improve students' English learning outcomes. Technically, the strategy for using audiovisual media in the process of teaching and learning English is divided into 3 stages: preparation, use and the final stage is monitoring after use. This strategic use of media will make learning English more effective, interactive and enjoyable. Teachers will be more optimal in presenting material and students will understand the lesson more easily.

In recent years, learning media has developed very well in various types one of which is media in improving students' listening skills. Examples of possible media used is an English movie. By using this English movie there are many benefits obtained by students, namely, students can learn good English pronunciation directly from movies that is broadcast, students can add new vocabulary, students can learn good grammar and correct and also students can practice their listening skills. Apart from that, this movie can be used as a medium that can make students more active in taking classes, not boring and interesting so learning can go well. The aim of this research is to find out how much effective use of movie in improving students' listening skills in the field of language studies students' English, and also to find out students' perspectives on the use of movie as a medium learning. In the research conducted, the researcher used the literature study method with collect some data from various related journals for review in collecting data. The conclusion of this research is that the use of English movie improves abilities Listening to students is very effective. According to the student's perspective, the use of this film is very helpful them in learning.

This article analyses the importance of learning to speak in an educational context. Speaking learning plays an important role in developing students' communication skills. In this analysis, the author explores various methods and strategies that can be used to improve students' speaking skills in the classroom. The results of the analysis show that effective speaking learning requires a comprehensive approach, including the use of technology, simulations, and active student roles in discussions and presentations. This article provides valuable information for educators to plan and implement effective oral teaching. The importance of learning to speak in an educational context is beyond doubt. Good speaking skills are essential in everyday life, both in social settings and the world of work. In this article, the author attempts to analyse in depth the strategies and methods that can be used to improve students' speaking skills in the classroom. One of the main conclusions of this analysis is that learning to speak effectively requires a comprehensive approach. This means that it does not only focus on developing technical speaking skills but also involves the use of technology, simulation and the active role of students in discussions and presentations. In today's digital era, the use of technology to learn speaking is very relevant. Therefore, the author emphasises the importance of integrating technology into the learning of verbal expression so that students become familiar with technology and develop speaking skills more effectively.

Listening activities which are interactive processes need to be presented as interactive processes in learning to increase student motivation. This research was conducted to explore information about improving students' listening skills and interest in learning through the use of podcasts. Qualitative research methods were used in this research. Research on motivational teaching strategies that can improve students' listening skills. The strategy proposed here includes implementing Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) using podcast media. Research shows that podcasts can not only improve students' listening skills but also increase their active participation in learning activities. Overall, this research shows that the development of English listening skills can be enhanced through podcasts.

English is the international language most widely used for communication. Learning English is something that must be learned in this modern era. The learning process also plays an important role in the acquisition of the language. The school requires additional English lessons due to the lack of teaching hours from local teachers. The needs of the children at the school are something that must be resolved because English learning must be improved for students. The presence of English teachers at school will really help the early learning process of a foreign language, especially if the teacher can teach English in various ways. There are many ways that can be used to improve students' learning abilities, learning through songs can be used in this process. Learning English through songs can be an effective means of improving students' memory and ability in learning English, this can be proven by the ease with which students can follow and remember songs.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study was to describe the EFL teachers’ challenges in teaching listening skills in one Islamic senior high school in Muaro Jambi. The researchers used qualitative research design for this research by applying a case study approach. The researchers interviewed two teachers who teach English to describe the challenges in teaching listening skills. The results indicated that all teachers knew teaching listening was not easy.They encountered several challenges in doing it. The challenges include: (1) Students low response, all teachers interviewed revealed their challenges in students low response. (2) Lack of vocabulary, which means the difficulty in understandin words from the audio. (3) Different accent from the native speaker is a challenge for teachers in teaching listening.(4) Less motivated, students who lack motivation make their enthusiasm and listening skills decrease. (5) Preparing media and equipment, which frequently occurs to start teaching listening. (6) Noisy environment, noisy sounds from outside the room can disturb the focus of students in listening. ABSTRACT This research employed a quantitative approach to determine the extent of students' self-assessment regarding writing abilities and strategies used by third- semester students in the English Language Education Department at UMMUBA. A survey method using questionnaires was utilized to gather data on confidence levels in writing, understanding of writing strategies encompassing general writing strategies, pre-writing strategies, during-writing strategies, and post-writing strategies. Statistical analysis will be conducted to interpret survey data and draw conclusions regarding the evaluated aspects. This research is expected to provide a deeper understanding of the actual quantitative conditions regarding writing abilities and strategies used by third-semester students in the English Education Program Study at UMMUBA. This study focuses on analyzing lexical density and grammatical intricacy in surah Al-Mulk theorized by Ur and Halliday to identify the level of lexical density and grammatical intricacy involed by means of descriptive qualitative method. The data source of the research are Surah Al-Mulk taken from Quran Kemenag (KEMENTERIAN AGAMA RI, 2557). Surah Al-Mulk is the 67th surah of Holy Qur’an that has 30 verses. All verses of the letter al-Mulk are said to belong to the group of Makkiyah verses (surah which was released in Mecca). The data in this research are lexical item for analyzing lexical density and clauses for analyzing grammatical intricacy. The results of the research show that Lexical Density found surpasses 63%. It indicates that Surah Al-Mulk accounts for higher lexical density. It demonstrates the amount of information of existence of Allah and His Perfect Knowledge and Power by inviting people to reflect on the marvels of this universe. The number of Grammatical Intricacy of Surah Al-Mulk is 4.03. It is due to the high number of clauses towards the sentences. The analysis shows that the more grammatical Intricacy of Surah Al-Mulk, the language that is used is more complex.
