Abstract

The high level of stress and depression among students is a serious problem that must be faced, there are 971 suicides in Indonesia in 2023. Classifying the mental health conditions of students can provide effective assistance for students who have mental health problems and can also help the campus and family in identifying the condition of the student. In this study, we used an open dataset from kaggle that includes the mental health conditions of students and college students. The methods used are K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) and Naive Bayes algorithms to find accuracy, precision, recall, and f1-score values. First, students will fill out a questionnaire. Next, the data from the questionnaire will be processed to group students into several different clusters based on pattern similarity. In the dataset there are 100 data that are processed and get the results of KNN measurements of Depression 80%, Panic 70% and Anxiety 85%,the results of Naive Bayes measurements of Depression 70%, Panic 75% and Anxiety 75%.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop a monitoring system for an IoT-based dual axis solar tracking system, with the aim of increasing the efficiency of light absorption by solar panels and monitoring the power produced by IoT-based solar panels. A tracking system is a method that is able to move solar panels according to changes in the direction of the light source, ensuring that the solar panels receive maximum light to achieve maximum power. The research method applied involves a series of tests to monitor the solar tracking system. Measurements involve the variable tilt of the solar panel, voltage, current and light intensity using a designed device, the results of which are then compared with standard measuring instruments. The system that has been developed successfully moves the solar panels according to the direction of the light source. The monitoring system uses Arduino and Esp8266 as microcontrollers, DinamoDC as the driving motor. After that, the percentage error for each measurement is calculated. The research results show that the light insensitivity values from solar panel test data were taken from 07.00 to 17.00. Based on several measurements that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the solar panels are functioning well, this is proven by the results of solar panel measurements with an average measured voltage of 18.45 volts – 20.38 volts.

Therefore, this tool is equipe of 3.6 mm in 4 seconds, compared to rocky soil, which had an average reduction of 3.3 mm in 5.3 seconds over three trials.

Abstract

Railroad crossing security on highways is an important issue for road user safety. The current security system still has limitations, such as a lack of timely response and negligence of crossing guards, resulting in a high number of accidents at railroad crossings, which often claim lives. The high rate of accidents that occur today causes safety to be one of the most important things. Therefore, it is necessary to apply sophisticated technology to minimize the risk of accidents. The utilization of computer technology in the railway crossing security system can be an optimal solution. The system will work by using sensors that are able to detect the arrival of trains and send information about the state of the crossing to the crossing guards in real time. Thus, the crossing guards can take appropriate and quick action if there is a malfunction in the system. By integrating advanced technology, it is hoped that accidents at railway crossings can be minimized and the safety of road users can be guaranteed.

Abstract

This research discusses the development of an Automatic Detection and Self Cleaning System on a Cat Litter Box using the Wemos D1 mini microcontroller, to improve the efficiency of cat maintenance. In this context, cats as pets have psychological uniqueness closely related to humans. The litter box, as a specific place for burying cat feces and urine, requires continuous attention and maintenance to keep it clean. This research develops a device that automatically detects cats entering the litter box, and then separates the feces from the sand in the cat litter box. The feces are transferred to a container that will be weighed using a load cell. Cat owners will receive notifications on their smartphone devices through their Telegram application to dispose of the waste. The system also monitors the sand height in the storage container, and the sand dispenser will refill it to a certain limit. The development of this system is expected to provide a solution for cat owners who need to leave their pets for a certain period. This research also demonstrates positive results through testing and notifications on smartphone devices as well as display on the LCD screen in the litter box.

Abstract

The importance of maintaining the cleanliness of ornamental fishponds in the context of urban life has been on the rise, especially as people's busy schedules often lead them to overlook the routine maintenance of their fishponds. One viable solution is the adoption of autonomous robot technology as a means of cleaning ornamental fishponds. This research aims to conduct a comprehensive evaluation of the design and implementation of an autonomous robot as a pond cleaner. The research method employed is quantitative, measuring outcomes and efficiency in numerical terms, with experimentation serving as the primary approach for data collection. Data collected is measured using tools such as a stopwatch, encompassing the time taken by the robot to complete its tasks, the time required to activate all components (approximately 10 seconds), and the time needed to clean the pond (around 4-5 minutes). The findings of this study enable us to assess the efficiency and effectiveness of autonomous pond cleaning robots in maintaining the cleanliness of fishponds.

Abstract

This research aims to design and implement a monitoring system that allows the measurement of voltage, current, and power using electronic devices, particularly NodeMCU and PZEM004T current sensor, along with the Blynk application as the user interface. The development method used is the waterfall method, involving stages of analysis, design, implementation, testing, and evaluation.This monitoring system is designed to measure voltage, current, and power for various electronic devices at home or in the surrounding environment. However, the measurement results obtained show errors, especially in current measurement. The current measurement results have a significant error rate, which can affect the accuracy of power calculations. The error testing results for the voltage sensor are 3W lamp (0.171%), 10W lamp (0.343%), and the overall average voltage sensor error is 0.410%, the average errors for the current sensor are (92%), power (1.57%), and the total cost of electricity that will be paid for a month is (Rp.89,232)..

Abstract

Cigarette smoke is one type of air pollutant that can cause various health problems, such as coughing, cancer and other health problems, especially when accumulated in the house, especially in the living room which is often used for gathering. This research aims to design and build an Internet of Things (IoT)-based cigarette smoke neutralization device that utilizes MQ-2 and MQ-135 sensors to detect the presence of smoke and harmful substances. The method used in this research is the waterfall method, which includes requirements analysis, design, implementation, testing, and maintenance. The development process of this tool is carried out systematically. This tool is equipped with a bot telegram notification system that provides real-time information to users regarding the air quality in the living room. When the sensor detects pollution levels exceeding the threshold, the device will activate the fan to increase air circulation and utilize the exhaust fan to neutralize smoke. In addition, the sound output from the speaker provides information about the air quality and notifies that the room has been successfully neutralized. Based on the test results, this prototype tool is able to detect air quality and takes ±1 minute to neutralize a room contaminated with smoke > 10 ppm while for smoke levels > 50 ppm, it takes ±2 minutes to create a healthy environment for the occupants. This research is expected to provide an innovative solution to the problem of smoke pollution and the implementation of indoor smoking bans.

Abstract

Batam, as the third largest city in Sumatra, has many attractive beaches such as Melur Beach that attract both local and foreign tourists. However, the abundance of choices and the lack of complete information often make novice travelers confused in choosing the right destination. The variety of attractions and activities at tourist sites also adds to the hesitation. As a solution to this problem, an automated chatbot was developed that is able to provide services as if visitors were interacting directly with staff or officers without any time constraints. This research aims to design and implement a chatbot system capable of providing beach tourism recommendations in Batam using the Feedforward Neural Network (FFNN) method. The dataset used includes descriptive information about beach tourist attractions in Batam as well as reviews from visitors. The model achieved the best accuracy with 80% dataset division for training and 20% for testing, with 600 epochs, batch size 10, and learning rate 0.002, which resulted in 97.1% accuracy. Evaluation of this model shows a macro precision value of 79.71%, macro recall of 80%, and macro F1 score of 79.76%. Overall, the model showed high effectiveness in classification tasks, with high accuracy and a good balance between detecting correct instances and minimizing prediction errors. This design shows that a chatbot with feedforward neural network model can be used effectively which is able to provide beach tourism recommendations in Batam with high accuracy and appropriate response to the user.

Abstract

This study proposes the design of a Smart Library Assistant using a Voice Recognition Module to facilitate book search in libraries. Despite the availability of digital books, many people still prefer physical books, and libraries remain a vital source of knowledge and information. However, finding books in a library can be challenging, especially when dealing with large collections. To address this issue, the study explores the use of voice recognition technology to create a smart library assistant that can help users locate books efficiently. The system will utilize the DFRobot Gravity offline voice recognition module to identify book genres and execute custom commands for finding books, eliminating the need for an internet connection. The research indicates that the voice recognition module, equipped with a microphone sensitive to -28db and capable of handling a maximum sound pressure level of 120db, enables the smart library system to accurately hear command words. The use of offline voice recognition modules, such as the DFRobot Gravity, can effectively simplify book searching in libraries. This technology allows the Smart Library Assistant to accurately identify genres and process voice commands without needing an internet connection. With a sensitive microphone capable of handling high sound pressure levels, the system provides an efficient solution for navigating large book collections.
