Abstract

Kelompok Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) yang berlokasi di Kelurahan Gebang Putih Kota Surabaya memiliki program kerja yang berjudul RELAX (Recycled Essential Oil Aromatherapy Experience) dengan memanfaatkan limbah minyak jelantah dijadikan sebagai produk lilin aromaterapi. Kegiatan sosialisasi serta praktik pembuatan lilin aromaterapi dengan peserta ibu- ibu rumah tangga serta pelaku UMKM di Kelurahan Gebang Putih yang telah dilaksanakan pada tanggal 5 Agustus 2024. Tujuan dari kegiatan ini yakni memaksimalkan nilai guna dan ekonomis dari minyak jelantah yang dihasilkan, serta juga dalam meminimalisir pencemaran linkungan akibat limbah minyak jelantah dengan mengembangkan nya menjadi suatu produk baru, yakni lilin aromaterapi. Hasil dari pelaksaksanaan program kerja RELAX adalah Kelurahan Gebang Putih diminimalisir polusi lingkungan akibat pembuangan minyak jelantah yang tidak semestinya, serta memberikan masyarakat wawasan dan keterampilan baru dalam mengolah limbah, yang berpotensi menciptakan peluang usaha baru dan meningkatkan ekonomi lokal.

Abstract

Empowering the community can lead to sustainable development. GEULIS (Excellent Gender and Organizational Environment) is a program that combines the principles of gender equality with environmental sustainability practices. GEULIS (Excellent Gender and Organizational Environment) program is in line with the sustainable development goals of Global SDGs 5, which concern gender equality and empowering women, and Global SDGs 15, which concerns protecting terrestrial ecosystems. This activity uses a qualitative approach with phenomenological methods to understand and analyze the experiences and perceptions of the Great Surabaya Cadre (KSH) RW 04 Klampis Ngasem Village regarding the GEULIS (Excellent Gender and Organizational Environment). Three methods were used to collect data: participant observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation. Gender equality socialization aims to provide a broad understanding and view that women have equal rights and opportunities in various fields, such as politics, economics, education, society, culture, defense, and security. The workshop on making liquid organic fertilizer aims to increase public awareness regarding the use of waste, improve skills and economic opportunities, and encourage community participation in sustainably preserving the environment.

Abstract

Careless disposal of waste can pollute the surrounding aquatic ecosystem. Therefore, innovative steps and solutions are needed to avoid random waste disposal in the environment around the community. Cooking activities that are carried out every day will definitely leave behind unused ingredients, one of which is cooking oil that has been used for frying activities. This cooking oil will become dangerous waste if thrown away carelessly. As a form of community service, group 5 of the National Defense KKN-T Wave 1, UPN "Veteran" East Java invites the community in Kemiri Village, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java to process used cooking oil waste from home into aromatherapy candles which can be developed as a product for entrepreneurship. The target of this activity is the community in RW 06 who are already superior in processing waste in the surrounding environment. This activity will include delivering material, a candle making demo, calculating COGS and how to brand a product. It is hoped that this community service work program can increase knowledge and build an entrepreneurial spirit to improve the village economy through waste that was previously considered worthless.

Abstract

The socialization activity on the use of citronella as a botanical pesticide in Kemiri Village, Sidoarjo, aims to minimize the use of chemical pesticides that can pollute the environment and pose health risks. Kemiri Village, with its potential in agriculture and home gardens, faces challenges from pests that damage crops. Although chemical pesticides are effective, they have long-term negative impacts such as soil and water contamination, and health risks. This socialization introduced the women of the PKK (Family Welfare Program) in RW 01 of Kemiri Village to botanical pesticides, particularly those made from citronella, which are more environmentally friendly and safer. The activities included delivering material on the importance of botanical pesticides and conducting a workshop on making "PENAWANG" (Citronella-Based Botanical Pesticide). The results showed high enthusiasm from the women of RW 01, who expressed interest and readiness to apply this new knowledge in their home gardens. Thus, this socialization successfully raised awareness and understanding among the community about the importance of using botanical pesticides, contributing to sustainable development efforts in Kemiri Village.

Abstract

Desa Klurak merupakan salah satu desa yang berada di Kecamatan Candi Kabupaten Sidoarjo yang mayoritas masyarakatnya berpendapatan dari budidaya ikan lele, petani padi, dan juga sebagai wirausahawan. Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik Bela Negara memberikan kesempatan kepada mahasiswa untuk mengintegrasikan antara ilmu akademis yang diperoleh dari perkuliahan dengan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Program pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan dalam rangka menjalankan proram kerja KKN-Tematik Bela Negara UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur oleh kelompok 12 dilaksanakaan pada 29 Juli 2024 pukul 19.00-21.00 WIB di lingkungan balai Desa Klurak. Program sosialisasi dan praktek pembuatan biopori dalam pot terbagi menjadi dua kegiatan, pertama sosialisasi pengenalan biopori dan manfaatnya, dilanjutkan demonstrasi langsung pembuatan biopori dalam pot berbahan dasar galon plastik bekas. Keberhasilan kegiatan sosialisasi dapat dirasakan dari antusiasme anggota karang taruna Desa Klurak.

Abstract

Sebagian pemilik UMKM di Desa Klurak, Kecamatan Candi, Sidoarjo, menghadapi tantangan dalam memperluas pasar dan meningkatkan daya saing produk mereka. Kebanyakan mengandalkan pemasaran secara konvensional dari mulut ke mulut tanpa mempertimbangkan pemasaran digital melalui media sosial serta strategi branding. Maka dari itulah penelitian ini dibuat untuk memberikan pemahaman dasar kepada pemilik UMKM mengenai legalitas atau sertifikasi halal, platform digital serta kemampuan dalam mengembangkan strategi branding seperti pembuatan desain logo produk dan foto produk. Hasil yang diharapkan adalah pemilik UMKM dapat memanfaatkan platform seperti Whatsapp Business dan Instagram untuk pemasaran, serta memiliki foto dan desain logo produk yang dapat menjadi ciri khas usahanya dan meningkatkan daya saing.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan keterampilan warga Desa Klurak dalam mengelola limbah minyak jelantah melalui pelatihan pembuatan lilin aromaterapi. Kegiatan dimulai dengan sosialisasi mengenai dampak negatif dari pembuangan minyak jelantah secara sembarangan terhadap kesehatan dan lingkungan. Setelah sosialisasi, dilanjutkan dengan pelatihan praktis yang mencakup pengumpulan, penyaringan, dan pengolahan minyak jelantah menjadi lilin aromaterapi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat dalam memanfaatkan limbah, serta kesadaran akan pentingnya pengelolaan limbah yang baik. Pelatihan ini tidak hanya memberikan nilai ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat, khususnya perempuan, tetapi juga berkontribusi pada upaya pelestarian lingkungan. Diharapkan, kegiatan ini dapat menjadi model pemberdayaan masyarakat yang berkelanjutan dalam pengelolaan limbah.

Abstract

Impact Current technological developments require society to be able to face the challenges of the times. One of those affected by change is in the economic sector. The growth of society's needs is increasing which requires people to be aware of technology at this time, many consumers are utilizing technology via the internet. The internet is a technological tool that provides very extensive facilities and is easy to access. The development of the times has made people's lifestyles and consumption shift from conventional to online transactions. This community service focuses on understanding and optimizing the marketing of MSMEs in Nongkosawit Village, Gunungpati District, Semarang City, the aim is to make residents more capable and optimize the use of digitalization in marketing their MSME products, seeing the role of digital in the current digital era is very supportive in marketing MSME products in society. In this community service, an R & D approach is used, where the author tries to analyze by participating directly in the field to analyze the problems that exist in society and then map and resolve these problems. We hope that in this service the community and MSME players in Nongkosawit Subdistrict, Gunungpati District, Semarang City can utilize digital marketing to introduce and disseminate MSME products at the local, national and international levels. Abstract

The implementation of community service activities was carried out in Karunia Village. The target was residents/community of Karunia Village, Palolo District, especially women. One strategy to realize gender justice and equality is to make gender the mainstream in development. Karunia Village is one of the villages in Palolo District where the level of female participation is still low. The purpose of this community service is to provide reinforcement about the importance of women's participation in development. Women's empowerment is a strategic way to increase women's potential and increase women's roles so that the level of community understanding of the importance of women's roles in development in Karunia Village, Palolo District .

Abstract

Forgiveness is one of the most fundamental basic values ​​in Christian teachings. This concept of forgiveness is so central because it reflects God's infinite love and His call for His people to live in unity and peace. SD Negeri 176493 Parbubu Pea emphasized the importance of a deep understanding of Christian values, especially for the younger generation. This article discusses Community Service (PKM) activities which aim to strengthen the faith of students at SD Negeri 176493 Parbubu Pea through understanding the beauty of forgiveness. The methods used in PKM include lectures, discussions, and games, which are designed to improve students' theological understanding and social skills. The results of the activities showed significant improvements in theological understanding, cooperation, and communication among students. This activity succeeded in achieving its goal, strengthening Christian values ​​and motivating students to spread the good news about the beauty of forgiveness and forgiveness.
