Abstract

Introduction: The Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia is a country located in a disaster-prone area due to geographical, geological, hydrological and demographic conditions that allow natural, non-natural and social disasters to occur. Therefore, the government passed Law Number 24 of 2007 concerning Disaster Management to disseminate information to the public regarding disaster management, provide protection to the community from every threat of disaster and ensure the implementation of disaster management. Methods: A systematic search was conducted against the Cochrane Database of Reviews, Google Scholar, PubMed, Scopus, Embase, and Web of Science. The keywords in this research are "natural disaster", "collaboration", and "community care". Results: After a thorough examination, only about seven were related to natural disasters, collaboration, and community awareness. Then, after a comprehensive examination, only about seven were related to natural disasters, collaboration and community care, as well as the importance of collaboration or partnerships between various health sectors. Conclusion: Disaster prevention and management is carried out in collaboration between the Government and health workers, NGOs, and community involvement. The role of the community is very important in efforts to increase awareness of disasters, requiring individuals who have a high level of resilience and can work under any risk, and the public health energy sector has a big role in disaster mitigation.

Abstract

Indonesia has a high potential for disasters, both natural and non-natural, such as landslides, floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and erupting mountains. A major factor that causes disasters other than natural conditions is the lack of public knowledge about disasters. The role of communities and communities in disaster education is an essential aspect of shaping the socialization and skills needed in dealing with disaster threats. Community roles in disaster education include various aspects, such as community empowerment, skill and insight development, and development of a disaster risk-oriented curriculum design. Community Based Disaster Management (CBDM) is an effort that requires a series of efforts in interpreting their own disaster threats and risks, prioritizing disaster risk reduction, reducing, monitoring and evaluating their own performance in disaster reduction efforts. Community-based disaster helps communities organize themselves to be independent in facing disasters both pre-disaster, when a disaster occurs, and post-disaster. The community challenge in fostering community awareness of disaster education is to increase community awareness and ability to deal with disasters with the aim of minimizing or mitigating the risks or impacts caused by disasters. Some efforts that can be made to help communities become more prepared and alert in the face of disasters are as follows education and training, disaster mitigation, development of disaster response communities, disaster preparedness school education, disaster aware community, and disaster preparedness cadet program (Tagana).

Abstract

Earthquakes pose significant challenges as one of the most devastating natural disasters. Despite intensive efforts, deterministic prediction remains uncertain. According to statistics presented by the Centre for Research on the Epidemiology of Disasters (CRED) from 2000 to 2019, earthquakes caused the most significant damage among natural disasters, resulting in 58% of fatalities. Additionally, earthquakes rank second only to storms in terms of economic losses, averaging US$32.7 billion annually. Effective disaster recovery management is crucial following major earthquakes. This literature review aims to evaluate public knowledge of post-earthquake recovery management. Through a systematic literature review methodology, relevant articles were identified using various academic databases including Google Scholar, Scopus, and Perplexity. Inclusion criteria encompassed articles addressing recovery strategies, interventions, challenges, and best practices following earthquakes. The review highlights pre-disaster activities, risk assessment, coordination, infrastructure recovery, decision-making, and post-disaster management phases. Overall, this review provides valuable information for policymakers to address post-earthquake disaster management in designing effective and holistic post-earthquake disaster management programs.

Abstract

Athletes with comorbid attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and sport-related concussions (SRC) face unique challenges due to overlapping symptoms that complicate recovery. Multimodal treatment approaches, combining pharmacological, psychological, and physical rehabilitation strategies, have been proposed to address these complexities and optimize outcomes. This systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines to evaluate the effectiveness of multimodal interventions in improving recovery for this population. Relevant studies were identified through a comprehensive search across multiple databases, applying rigorous inclusion and exclusion criteria. Findings indicate that multimodal approaches significantly enhance cognitive function, emotional stability, and physical recovery compared to single-modality treatments. Interdisciplinary care, tailored interventions, and athlete-centered strategies were identified as critical components of effective management. However, challenges such as adherence variability and limited access to specialized resources remain. These results emphasize the importance of integrating multimodal frameworks into clinical practice. Future research should focus on developing standardized protocols and assessing long-term outcomes to ensure sustainable recovery.

Abstract

Mindfulness-based interventions (MBIs) have gained attention for their potential to enhance athletic performance, particularly under pressure. These interventions are thought to improve psychological and physiological factors, including stress reduction, attention regulation, and endurance capacity, which are critical for maintaining performance in high-pressure situations. A systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines to synthesize evidence on the impact of MBIs on endurance performance under pressure. Studies were identified through a comprehensive search of academic databases and evaluated using predefined inclusion and exclusion criteria. Key findings indicate that MBIs significantly reduce anxiety and stress, enhance mental attributes such as focus and emotion regulation, and improve endurance performance metrics. Neurocognitive benefits, such as improved executive functions and reduced negative ruminations, were also reported. This review concludes that MBIs are promising tools for optimizing athletic performance. Future research should focus on standardizing interventions and exploring their long-term effects across diverse athletic contexts.

Abstract

Mental health crises among professional athletes have garnered increasing attention due to their impact on performance, career longevity, and well-being. This study evaluates the effectiveness of sports psychiatry interventions in reducing such crises. Using a mixed-methods approach, the research combines quantitative analysis of mental health outcomes with qualitative interviews of athletes across various disciplines over two years. Key interventions included cognitive-behavioral therapy, mindfulness training, and psychoeducation tailored to the demands of professional sports. The findings revealed a 40% decrease in reported mental health crises among athletes who participated in these programs. Qualitative data highlighted improved coping mechanisms, emotional regulation, and mental resilience, with athletes reporting greater psychological safety and confidence. These results demonstrate the critical role of sports psychiatry in fostering mental well-being and underscore the need for its integration into professional athletic programs to support sustainable mental health and performance.

Abstract

The integration of sports psychiatry into routine athletic care is essential for improving athlete performance and well-being. Athletes are susceptible to mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, and eating disorders, which can negatively impact their performance. This study reviews existing research on sports psychiatry's role in enhancing mental health and performance, utilizing a systematic approach to explore key psychiatric interventions. Methodologically, the review involved analyzing studies that assess the effectiveness of techniques like cognitive behavioral therapy, biofeedback, and mindfulness-based interventions in improving athlete outcomes. Main findings indicate that addressing mental health conditions through sports psychiatry enhances focus, resilience, and emotional control, contributing to better performance under competitive stress. However, challenges such as stigma and the need for individualized care persist. The principal conclusion is that integrating sports psychiatry into athletic care improves both mental health and performance, with future research needed to explore long-term effects and personalized interventions.
