Abstract

Objective: This study aims to describe the language attitudes of the members of the Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) Lampung Commission V in the field of education during the 2014–2019 period and their implications for the use of the Indonesian language in educational policy products. Method: The research employed a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including questionnaires, observations, interviews, and documentation. The data sources consisted of the language attitudes of DPRD Lampung Commission V members and educational policy documents, particularly Regional Regulation (PERDA) No. 9 of 2016. Results: The findings reveal that DPRD Lampung Commission V members exhibited a positive language attitude with a 65% score, reflecting loyalty, pride, and compliance in using the Indonesian language. This positive attitude is manifested in the use of the Indonesian language in the formulation of educational policy products, as seen in PERDA No. 9 of 2016. Novelty: This research provides a novel perspective by linking the language attitudes of policymakers to the linguistic quality of regional educational policies, highlighting the crucial role of language in shaping effective and inclusive educational regulations.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to review various efforts in developing anticancer therapies based on medicinal plants and synthetic compounds, particularly for breast cancer, which has high prevalence and mortality rates. Method: Data were collected through a literature review of scientific journals published between 2010 and 2020. The study analyzed the potential of various medicinal plants and bioactive compounds using both experimental and computational approaches.  Results: The review revealed that medicinal plants such as soursop leaves, galangal, moringa leaves, Kasumba Turate flowers, and red dragon fruit peels exhibit significant anticancer potential. Their activities include cytotoxicity, proliferation inhibition, and apoptosis induction in T47D and MCF-7 breast cancer cells. Additionally, an in silico approach was employed to evaluate bioactive compounds like galangin and quercetin, which demonstrated potential interactions with specific molecular targets such as HER-2 and SIRT1. Novelty: This study highlights the importance of exploring both natural and synthetic anticancer compounds to develop more effective and safer therapies. The integration of in silico analysis provides a deeper understanding of molecular interactions, supporting the advancement of targeted breast cancer treatments.

Abstract

Objective: This research aims to analyze the implementation of biosecurity systems in chicken farms and provide strategies to improve their effectiveness. The goal is to support a safer, more productive, and sustainable farming ecosystem while reducing the risk of disease outbreaks that could threaten the livestock sector. Method: A qualitative approach was used with library research or literature study as the primary method. Data sources were collected from scientific journal articles and research reports to gain a comprehensive understanding of biosecurity practices in chicken farming. Results: The study found that the application of biosecurity systems in chicken farms varies based on farm size, with large-scale farms demonstrating better implementation due to greater resources, knowledge, and technical support. Effective strategies for improving biosecurity include training programs for farmers, providing adequate facilities, financial assistance, and supervision. However, small-scale farms face significant challenges, including limited funds, lack of knowledge, inadequate facilities, and resistance to change, which hinder optimal biosecurity implementation. Novelty: This study highlights the importance of a collaborative approach involving farmers, governments, and stakeholders to improve biosecurity practices. It also emphasizes the need for tailored strategies that address the unique challenges faced by small-scale farms, offering actionable solutions to enhance sustainability and disease prevention in the poultry industry.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to investigate the role of audit firms' reputation as a moderating variable in the relationship between company characteristics and audit characteristics affecting auditor switching decisions. The focus is on energy companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Method: The research utilizes panel data from 55 energy companies, selected through purposive sampling from a population of 79 companies, covering the period 2018–2021. Logistic regression and moderated regression analysis were performed using SPSS 26 to analyze the data.  Results: The findings reveal that audit opinion, audit delay, and financial distress have a significant influence on auditor switching. Additionally, the reputation of audit firms moderates the relationship between financial distress and auditor switching, emphasizing its critical role in shaping such decisions. Novelty: This study contributes to the literature by providing empirical evidence on the moderating effect of audit firms' reputation in the context of Indonesia's energy sector. It offers valuable insights for stakeholders in emerging markets to understand auditor switching dynamics and make informed decisions in the audit environment.

Abstract

Objective: This study examines the representation of religious narratives in the film Hati Suhita. The research aims to analyze how religious values are conveyed through cinematic elements, including dialogue, scenes, and visual aspects such as setting, symbols, and costumes. Method: A qualitative approach was employed using Norman Fairclough’s Critical Discourse Analysis. This method enables an in-depth examination of how religious narratives are structured and communicated within the film. The study focuses on three core aspects of Islamic teachings: Aqidah (faith), Syariah (Islamic law), and Akhlak (morality). Results: The findings indicate that religious narratives are presented through key Islamic teachings. Aqidah is depicted by emphasizing faith in the Almighty and the concept of divine destiny. Syariah is conveyed through dialogues and expressions that illustrate religious practices and their proper implementation within an Islamic framework. Akhlak is integrated holistically, incorporating both religious doctrine and universal humanistic values, which shape the overall moral message of Hati Suhita. Novelty: This study highlights the multifaceted representation of Islamic teachings in contemporary Indonesian cinema. By analyzing Hati Suhita through the lens of Critical Discourse Analysis, the research provides fresh insights into how religious values are interwoven into film narratives, not only as theological constructs but also as cultural and social influences within a modern cinematic context.

Abstract

Objective: This study aims to analyze and compare the calorie content of fried rice made from white rice and brown rice, focusing on their nutritional value and potential health benefits. The research highlights the advantages of brown rice as a healthier alternative for fried rice, promoting better calorie control and supporting dietary programs. Method: The study employs a literature review complemented by laboratory-based calorie calculations. Data was collected from previous scientific publications and experimental analyses, including the evaluation of macronutrient compositions and calorie content in both white rice and brown rice variants of fried rice. Results: Laboratory findings reveal that fried rice made from brown rice contains 115.32 kcal per 150 grams, slightly lower than the 115.56 kcal found in fried rice made from white rice. Although the calorie difference is marginal, brown rice fried rice demonstrates superior nutritional benefits, such as higher complex carbohydrate content and a lower glycemic index, which support prolonged satiety and better energy regulation. Novelty: This research introduces a unique perspective on the nutritional profile of fried rice by incorporating brown rice as a primary ingredient. Unlike traditional fried rice studies, this paper emphasizes the use of brown rice to create a low-calorie and nutritionally rich variant, aligning with modern dietary needs and contributing to innovations in Indonesian culinary practices.
