Abstract

Orderly medical record management is essential in supporting the quality of health services in hospitals. One stage in medical record management is the assembling process, which aims to arrange medical record forms according to the order listed in the medical record table of contents. However, in practice, inconsistencies in the arrangement of medical record forms are still found and may hinder subsequent document management processes. This study aims to analyze the inconsistency in the arrangement of medical record forms in the assembling process. This research used a descriptive method with an observational approach on inpatient medical record documents. Data were collected by observing 50 medical record documents for three weeks during February to March 2026. The results showed that 40 medical record documents (80%) were not arranged according to the order listed in the medical record table of contents, while 10 documents (20%) were arranged appropriately. The inconsistency in document arrangement can cause difficulties in further document management processes such as document sorting and storage. Therefore, improvement efforts are needed by providing visual guidance media such as a poster of the medical record form sequence to assist staff in arranging medical record documents systematically.

Abstract

Introduction:One of the primary causes of morbidity and mortality in mothers and perinatals is preeclampsia, particularly when the illness develops early in pregnancy. A rapid and substantial increase in body weight during pregnancy is the first immediately detectable symptom of preeclampsia. Because conducting standard pregnancy exams can avoid preeclampsia. Objectives: Development of a digital calculator application for midwives in early prevention of preeclampsia in pregnant women. Method: using the Research and Development (RnD) method. The sampling technique used total sampling with a total sample of 32 midwives. The research was conducted at the Pagelaran Public Health Center in May 2024. The data analysis used TAM (Technology Acceptance Model). Result: According to the evaluation results, 93.5% of respondents felt that the digital calculator application was useful for detecting preeclampsia at an early stage, and 81.12% felt that it was easy to use. This demonstrates how midwives can benefit and find it more convenient to prevent preeclampsia by using a digital calculator application for early identification of preeclampsia. Research conclusion: In order to aid in the early prevention of preeclampsia, midwives could benefit from the creation of a digital calculator application, particularly one that calculates BMI, MAP, and ROT.

Abstract

Dermatitis is an inflammatory skin disorder caused by a type IV cell-mediated hypersensitivity reaction following disruption of the skin barrier by specific antigens. Various factors, including age, sex, environmental conditions, personal hygiene, clothing, cosmetics, and topical medications, contribute to its occurrence. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of acupuncture at LI11, ST36, and local points on reducing dermatitis lesion severity among students at the Darul Ihsan Muhammadiyah Islamic Boarding School, Sragen. A pre-experimental one-group pretest–posttest design was employed from October to November 2025. Of 425 boarding school students, 150 had a history of dermatitis, and 30 participants met the inclusion criteria. Dermatitis severity was assessed using the SCORAD questionnaire and observation sheets before and after treatment. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test with a significance level of 0.05. The results showed a significant reduction in dermatitis lesion severity (p = 0.001), indicating that acupuncture may serve as a safe, non-pharmacological complementary therapy for dermatitis.

Abstract

The digitization of medical records in hospitals was developed to support the quality and effectiveness of services through more systematic, rapid, and integrated patient data management. However, in its implementation, the utilization of this system has not fully achieved optimal results due to various technical and operational obstacles that still affect the smoothness of services and the level of benefits perceived by users. This study aims to analyze the relationship between the perceived net benefits of electronic medical records and the effectiveness of polyclinic services at Prof. Dr. Soekandar Regional General Hospital, Mojokerto Regency. The research was conducted using a quantitative approach using a cross-sectional analytical design. All 70 polyclinic staff were involved as respondents. Data were collected through questionnaires and tested for validity and reliability. The data were then analyzed descriptively and inferentially using the Spearman correlation test. The findings indicate that the perception of the benefits of EMR and the level of effectiveness of polyclinic services are mostly in the moderate category. Statistical testing confirmed a significant and positive correlation between the perceived benefits of the system and the effectiveness of services. This means that increasing the benefits of EMR tends to be followed by an increase in the effectiveness of polyclinic services. Therefore, optimizing system quality, strengthening information technology infrastructure, and improving user competency are strategic steps to maximize the utilization of EMR and improve health service performance.

Abstract

Premature rupture of membranes (PROM) is one of the pregnancy complications that can increase maternal and neonatal morbidity and mortality. This study aimed to analyze the association between maternal age, education, occupation, parity, gestational age, anemia status, history of diabetes mellitus, and history of PROM with the incidence of PROM. A case-control design was employed using secondary data from 346 respondents, consisting of 173 cases and 173 controls. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test with a 95% confidence level (α = 0.05). The results showed significant associations between maternal age (p = 0.025), education (p = 0.000), parity (p = 0.001), gestational age (p = 0.000), anemia status (p = 0.000), and history of PROM (p = 0.000) with the incidence of PROM. In contrast, occupation (p = 0.274) and history of diabetes mellitus (p = 0.200) were not significantly associated with PROM. It can be concluded that certain maternal and obstetric factors are associated with the incidence of PROM. Therefore, optimal antenatal monitoring is necessary to identify and manage these factors in order to reduce the risk of PROM.

Abstract

Abnormal foot arch shape can cause balance disorders, pain, and increase the risk of injury. One factor influencing this condition is Body Mass Index (BMI). Children with high BMI, such as overweight and obesity, tend to have flat foot arches (pes planus) due to greater body weight. This study aims to determine the relationship between foot arch shape and BMI in elementary school children. This study at SDN 03 Tohudan Karanganyar using an analytical observational method with a cross-sectional approach. The sample consisted of 92 students selected through total sampling. BMI was measured using body weight and height, while foot arch shape was assessed using the Clarke Angle method. Data analysis included normality testing and hypothesis testing using the Spearman Rank test. The results showed a significant relationship between BMI and foot arch shape, with a p-value of 0.013 (p < 0.05) and a correlation coefficient of -0.258. This negative correlation indicates that as BMI increases, foot arch shape decreases. However, the correlation strength was weak. In conclusion, there is a significant negative relationship between BMI and foot arch shape in children aged 7–12 years. Higher BMI is associated with lower foot arch shape, which may increase the risk of musculoskeletal disorders.

Abstract

Delays in non-medical logistics retrieval are a problem that can reduce distribution effectiveness in hospitals. This study aims to identify the factors causing delays in non-medical logistics retrieval and to propose improvement efforts. The research used a descriptive qualitative method with an observational approach through observation, interviews, and documentation at the General Logistics Unit of Muhammadiyah Hospital Lamongan from February to March 2026. Data were analyzed using a fishbone diagram to identify root causes. The results showed that delays were influenced by factors related to human resources, methods, materials, systems, and environment, including high workload, absence of retrieval time limits, low urgency of items, suboptimal system utilization, and ineffective inter-unit communication. These conditions lead to stock accumulation in the warehouse and reduced distribution efficiency. Therefore, it is necessary to establish SOP for retrieval time limits, implement reminder systems, and improve coordination and communication between units.
